For the most part I do it the same as I do planes and other wood. Just work them with some steel wool and paint stripper. Some times I'll lightly scrape them down as well, then hit them with the wax. The Wilkenson, that had most of the original red finish, so I just touched that up with some stain to color the dings, and then hit them with the shiny stuff. Thanks!!
