As far as I am aware from official rulings, Airball is incorrect ( 49:10 ). You can still target a player with Athreos's triggered ability even if they have less than 3 life. They just will not be able to pay, so you will then return the creature to your hand.

You can absolutely target players at less than 3 life. The only time the rule he's referring to comes into effect is if there are no legal choices for the targeted player to make, or no legal targets for the ability (player is hexproof). Since there is still one legal choice they must choose the creature returning to hand and the ability does not get removed from the stack.
"I made friends, this is how commander works." should be on a t-shirt.
If you are below 3 you can be target of Athreos, God of Passage's ability
The target can't choose to lose 3 life but has to choose to return the creature to the hand
I'm disappointed that the one true god, Xenagos, wasn't chosen to be a commander. But as always the episode was a blast and it's always good to see MaldHound on an episode.
My 1st commander deck was a Xenagos deck and it was fun putting out big creatures then doubling their power and giving them haste.
what airball said at 49:15 is incorrect. If you are below 3 hp you can still be targeted, but in the rules it says you can't pay resources you don't have if an effect says you have to pay something to do a thing. So if aiball has less than 3 life than nerdgirl can keep targeting him and always get her stuff back to her hand due to airball not having three life to pay to stop the card from going to her hand.
Kaya's Guile exiling all opponent's graveyards would have solved a lot of problems.
It is amazing how good blockers Indestructible Gods are in the game of Magic! Another great episode with some amazing deck interaction from all four players.
Very fun game. Everyone was a threat at the end (except maybe Airball, though he did come in clutch with attempting to prevent Klothys's trigger). Fun game. The indestructible blockers for everyone made the game trudge though since there weren't enough combats.
MALDHOUND hating the Simic is classic
Every single time Airball flickered Venser, I was like, "you gotta bounce the Kruphix, why is everyone just letting Veggie get away with this??"

It seems like you routinely invite Maldhound just so the table can all crush him. Finally, a win!
I mean, he also won the last one... We never invite a guest to rush them out of the game. We go after the person who we believe is the biggest threat. He picks strong commanders and doesn't hold back in the early game. :)

I love crackle with power. Wish more people played it. It literally kills off problems. Yeah it takes alot of mana but there are so many decks that just Crack out lots of mana and do nothing with it. Just blast everyone in the face with a cannon. Lol

Man Suture Priest kinda fucking sucked. The effect isnt bad, in fact is quite strong, but holy fuck does the card trigger so much aggro from a few hella common archetypes.
Sucks that Kickstarter does accept so little payment options. I wanted to get mats and drawings.
