Edit: e.g. the paragraph you show at 2:46 - no source cited. That sets off all my alarm bells. I'm not suggesting anything, just using this as an example. Investigative videos need every oh-so-small source cited and linked in any way possible.

I would like to see more of these stories, however I think longer Videos with deeper or more Details would be more fitting/better

When the sheriff introduced himself to that guy, he seemed unfazed. Which tells me he didn't actually know the sheriff, especially since he was what seemed to be three to five states away, and only had his name. Also, I highly doubt the sheriff has Minecraft and plays in a multiplayer server. Personally I think that guy's an idiot.

Most of these cases just end up with largely cut down sentences or probably dropped all together. Its not interesting when our legal system actually works the way its supposed to.

Richard was the racist with ties to other terrible groups, Chitwood was the one who always spoke out publicly about his distaste for these groups.

4chan is not anonymous. The Florida FBI watched his posts and tracked him down. If they want to find you, they will.

Legally speaking, even without the "in Minecraft," it is almost certainly not illegal speech. Saying that someone killing a guy would end the problems they represent is *not* a threat. The charges are not acceptable, and the sheriff is clearly in the wrong.
And as for if "In Minecraft" has any legal merit... It may, actually. Given that the phrase IS a known meme, it changes the context of the phrase as a whole, and that could matter. Let's say this guy had said something that could actually count as a threat, like "I'm going to kill this guy," but adds the "in Minecraft." Since the meme is the equivalent of saying "but not really," that could matter. The concept of a threat cannot include obvious hyperbole.
For the most part, there has to be clear intent and proof this person is actually going to go through with aggressing upon another. Otherwise, the person is all bark and no bite. Regardless of background, death threats in general, whether it be a wish someone should go through with it or just expressing hatred for another, this leads down a slippery slope of what speech is considered punishable.

Maybe part of the concern is that his post could've inspired others to do it for him, even if he himself couldn't travel to Florida. Good to have a neo-nazi arrested at least, makes the world a safer place. I do have a concern though that Florida could use this case against people speaking out against discriminatory laws there when the person speaking out isn't a neo-nazi and not approaching the kind of stuff that guy said (this is only theoretical).
