Great job Sir. About your question; keeping a small number of sheep and goats usually do not have significant risk. But in large scale production it advisable to separate them because they suffer from common diseases, while goats are very resistant to pathogenic microbes, sheep are easily weakened. Also, there are other things like aggressive nature of goats, inbreeding to produce some funny hybrids ("geeps") that come with some complications in animal husbandry. However, if a farmer has full control over his flock, then I see no great issues with that. It's only problematic when you keep a large flock together. Peace
Dr Daniel I want to know how you are able to manage with the noise from the poultry house ..the fact that you are living with them..love from 🇬🇭 Ghana...I'm a doctor of Pharmacy student and I also have the passion to diversify into Farming In Shaa Allah when I become successful 🙏
Good evening... I'm a medical doctor watching from Nigeria. Nice videos you have. Please, i want to know why you dont use battery cages and prefer the husbandary method. Thanks
Daniel for your information regarding keeping the sheep and goats together, this is how I can simply approach it. First, sheep and goats are small ruminants, so integrating them together has no impact when it comes to feeding because goats are picky grazers on shrubs and sheep are browsers on grass. Secondly, they do share some diseases like sheep & goat pox which in case there's an outbreak the possibility of goats surviving as compared to sheep is less because the sheep are more hardy animals than the goats. Lastly, when it comes to the worm burden load the goats are more affected although it doesn't mean that the sheep should not be dewormed as well. Remember that worm larvae concentrate 2-4 inches on the grass stems to increase their chance of being consumed to complete their life cycle inside an animal but since sheep are browsers which mostly eat from ground, the possibility of worm multiplication will be too high because you are completely on free range and animals will always be contaminating the pastures with their dropping hence a reccuring cycle
Good work Daniel. May I ask what the chain fence around the property costs typically? And would you advise one does that even with about 10-50 acres of land?

How can I measure my land. Is there an app that I can use to count hectares?
Hectare is 2 and 1/2 acres. U need a surveyor to measure it if your land is not straight or rectangular.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
