I think the friendship between Sieon and Parang is so much more important in this story than their ‘fight’ over Siwon. It made me so sad but at the same time relieved when Parang hugged him and Sieon started crying. So glad we got to see them develop and be able to lean onto each other.
다시봐도 레전드.. 이건 매번 볼때마다 다가오는 얘기가 같은데 달라서 계속 생각하게 되고.. 다들 연기도 너무 잘하고ㅠㅠㅠ 연애 못해서 연애미수 라는 제목이 된게 중이적 의미라 더 끌리고.. 진짜 개갓띵작인데 시즌2도 만들어주세요ㅠㅠ

it is my third time finishing this webdrama. I think the one who was mistaken is Siwon. She thought Parang cant stand being alone and cant do well on his own so that she thought she has to be there for him all the time. To do this Siwon needed excuse so she told people she liked Parang when she was 9. At that time she didnt really mean it but then she got confused cuz she has been doing it for 10 ten years. I think Siwon is not really in love with Parang as a man but as a friend. Her feelings towards Sieon is more like as a woman for a man. If there is next season i think Sieon and Siwon would be together.
About Parang, he can do well when he is alone but just doesnt like it. He really is a good friend, he always has been there for his friends for Sieon especially
The one who really cant stand being alone is Sieon. He hates it, he is afraid of it. Yes, at first he decided to be a friend with Parang because of Siwon but it has been for 10 years, which means even he tells him mean things he is a true friend of Parang. He has been loyal to his friendship. He said why am i selfish. Yes, if he really was selfish he already would do something to ruin Siwon and Parang relationship.

ive been closely studying the characters ever since sieon admitted he “used” parang to get close to siwon. and i honestly expected this ending. i’m so thankful that they didn’t choose to let siwon keep chasing after parang when the boy didn’t need a girlfriend but a guardian. and i honestly hope if there ever is a season two, that they don’t make siwon and sieon jump into a relationship from the start, if they are going to be together in season 2, they should make all three of them find a stable middle ground with each other (siwon and parang, parang and sieon, sieon and siwon’s *friendship* ) before letting any of them get into a relationship. its very obvious that all three need each other. but i just want them to realise that it doesn’t always mean romantically.

I believe so too, I mean chaesoo and geon were talking about the seasons changing and there being another season. I don't think they were just referring to the actual seasons like spring, summer and such. I think it's somewhat of a foreshadowing since geon talked about starting his love in the next season, I think they were referring to the point that the producers are gonna create a love line between geon and chaesoo next season but I don't know for sure

Hear me out. Sieon and Siwon didn't end up dating here. But I think they are still attracted romantically to each other. I said still because Siwon actually already saw Sieon as a man after Sieon attempted to woo her during high school and she became attracted to him ever since. See that they're attending the same university? Siwon could have chosen a different university away from Sieon, as she knew what uni he's going that time when they had the question game at the museum library. She could've chosen the university with the best arts/literature curriculum. But instead Siwon attended the same university with Sieon, who is taking up business.
Okay, if Siwon still likes Kang Parang and wants to still be by his side, she could've readily thrown away her potential at a better university and attended Parang's college. Actually knowing that Siwon's into writing and Parang's into drawing and art, they're better suited in the same university/college of arts and letters or something similar. They could've spent more time together in college, and may even be in the same field when they'd be working adults, like publishing books together.
What I'm trying to say is that I think Siwon has already settled the score on her friendship with Parang. She only sees and likes Parang platonically and like a sibling. And so when it's time for them to separate ways, Siwon chose to attend the same university as Sieon's, leaving Parang alone at his college with him now being an assa (outsider). Now Siwon is free of her obsession of staying by Parang's side, and Parang now is alone, addicted to rice cups even when he's not a CSAT retaker.
With Sieon though is a different story. Siwon would not attempt to hold Sieon's hand when he offered his hand to her; she would have slapped his hand right there if she now really only see him as a friend. Also because she's running late to her class, she would've dashed immediately after Sieon surprised her and after having a quick chat. Trust me you don't want to be late on your classes if you're a typical diligent university student. Your favorite spot would be taken, and most of the time you'd be shamed by the professors who are attendance maniac if you're late. Note that Siwon's a top student, so she's probably a diligent student still. However, now that Sieon walked with her, she's not rushing to her class and seems to not care on the consequences anymore as they're walking slowly/calmly towards the campus. Also her bumping herself happily to him because of what he jokingly did to her. And so I say Siwon's still attracted to Sieon.
Now Sieon. If he really has moved on from Siwon, he would not extend his hand to her and just straight up climb up the stairs and leave her alone after their little chat (and would've left a snarkier comment). If Sieon only sees Siwon now as just his friend friend, he would've just held Siwon's hand no problem and help her run rushly to her class like a good friend, just like how she grabbed his hand when she helped him get away from the seniors confronting him. But no he quickly pulled his hand away jokingly instead after Siwon extended her hand to hold his. We know that he said that he's not going to hold her hand as her friend. That's because he would like to hold her hand when they're finally lovers. So he didn't hold her hand as they are still friends at this point. Also, Sieon probably knows Siwon's class sched so even when his class actually starts at 3 pm, he already went to school, most probably to join Siwon walk to the campus. And so I say Sieon still likes Siwon.
Now because they attend the same university, they would now spend more time together as friends, and potentially be romantically involved with each other.
In conclusion, even if they are currently friends now in the epilouge, there is great probability of Siwon-Sieon endgame in their future! Therefore, SiSi couple for the win 😃😁!!

I finished reading your comment. I really like the way you explain the whole thing. It cannot be denied that they have feelings for each other. I loved their story and others comment about sieon being bad or scary or else toxic I don't agree with them, I think he's really a nice guy. It's true he can say mean things but it doesn't mean he is a bad person. He is not a stalker too because he is just being true to his long time one sided feelings he just want to secure the safety of siwon and even give time and effort just to be with the girl he love

For me, I feel liked they helped each other out. Parang didn't like being alone, it's not like he couldn't handled it, he just hated it so they stayed with him. ive watched this series so many times already and i always get sad everytime i finish it because its sooo good!!! im gonna need a s2 or a whole new story with the same cast or main leads atleast!!! they have such good chemistry and good acting aaa
they may have failed in love but not in friendship. opening heart to their friends, forgiveness, understanding each other's feelings and situations without judging, realizing things, pointing out and saying what they thought and accepting each other's personality. their friendship is one of a kind.

Its obvious that Sieun and Siwon didnt end up together. He didnt hold her hand at the end because he said "i wont hold your hand as a friend". You guys are saying Sieun is obsessed so Siwon too. She didnt let Parang live his OWN love life. She forced him to choose her. Poor Parang felt loser all the time. And i dont think Sieun was faking Parang with acting like he is a friend. He really is a friend. You cant stand by someones side if you hate them. They get along to each other and deeply caring for each other. Waiting for S2 to make things clear.
I still don't think Sieun thinks of Parang as a real friend... he feels lonely and with him as his side, he unconsciously, feels better I think.

Never expected to be this good, noh, one of the best webdrama i have ever seen. Just didn't get boring for a sec, every character was interesting, every actors-actresses ddid their best. Ost is 8 outta 10! We deserve season 2 right? I'm in love with the ending!!

LOVED THE ENDING! Although everyone 'failed' in love, they saved the more precious thing - their friendship. I was expecting that Siwon would end up with Kang Parang and was a bit upset about that.
I mean... Kang Parang is a nice and caring person, but the couple Parang/Siwon just gives me an unpleasant Hermione/Ron feeling. He is good, empathetic, etc, but she deserves so much more than a guy who needs to be raised into a man. IMO, romantic relationships shouldn't resemble motherhood in any way.
Sieon wasn't liked by many people because he seems manipulative and controlling. Yep, his motives 'to be friends' wasn't pure, but actually he never even tried to destroy Parang/Siwon friendship, he never talked anything bad about Parang behind his back. He was just silently there, wanting to be close to a girl he liked. It's not 'scary' that he was persistent after his feelings became obvious, then he was honest with Siwon. And he did let her go after all.
So yeah, I want them together :D

After reading this i don't think there will be Season 2 coz the title itself states "FAILing on love" and i think they wanted to show us how few people fail in love and how they sometimes misunderstands friendship with love. I hoped it would have a happy ending or at least Season 2 but i guess this is what life is. It not always goes the way you want it to. But i am happy at least they all stayed friend till the end❤

i finally understood sieon's story.
They've been showing parang's story and his struggle since the first episode. The whole show revolved around his seperation anxiety. But they didn't show anything about sieon's back story or his struggle. They just made him a cold & mean guy which is why people like parang more because they sympathize with him. Siwon was there for Parang throughout and his story was given more importance but Sieon had no one. That doesn't mean Sieon's struggle was less important. Both of them deserve to be loved equally.

This was such a good web drama. I want a season2 of it. This was Failing in love so the next season could be falling in love with sieon and Siwon getting together and Parang finding someone for himself too.
this series is one of the most realistic dramas i've ever watched. It tells us that being young doesn't always mean fun and excitement, but we also struggle and feel burdened. It also shows us that we may not get all we want in life (like parang, he didn't have good grades nor love life, despite that he's happy) nonetheless we can still work hard for what we are passionate about. and it's funny how most people don't talk about how realistic those teachers are. There's quite a lot of teachers today that don't care about her/his students' well-being. I hope there could be a season 2 for this drama. ☺️

I just love the fact that they kept the friendship
I liked the ending, it was a glimpse into the lives of high school students and honestly, it felt real. There was no forced relationship and instead everyone focused on studies and their own path, i feel like if the drama continued in university siwon and sieon will fall in love and it feels natural. Instead of having a forced relationship at the end i like how it showed each of them growing. Parang is finally alone and is dealing with the world, Sieon opens up about his feelings and finally leans on someone and siwon realises that her feelings were incorrect. Instead of ending it with a relationship, they resolved all the emotional issues and i really respect that.
