I love that strategy. Offense wins games, defense wins championships
I know I cannot run bags in the hole for no more than a few rounds. So I do play a lot of defense, especially against players that I know have nothing but a slide shot to the hole. Block their lane and they are done. There are a few that I can do this on and it gets them really upset. Which then breaks their focus. I have played some good advanced players that have roll shots and won against them. Biggest thing with roll players is not blocking the hole too high up on the board. The shorted the distance, the easier it is for them to roll. A bag and 1/2 lower and they have less chance of hitting the roll. Finding that sweet spot to block makes a big difference. Those KS Wolverines allow you to block and then flip to the fast side you can push. They are sweet.

Trajectory control. Just throw a little lower.
Throw a flat bag, not a front tilted bag.
I use to have this issue to before I learned about different board speeds. When this happens use a faster bag or use the fast side so you can throw the same shot, instead making adjustment to your mechanics. Hopefully this helps
