True…but she didn’t know the value of money because she always had so much. Money can do wonderful, meaningful things for needy, sick, abused people, especially children. It’s thoughtless to waste it on a whim.

i do still feel that this was a good scene cause it emphasized the value of what the movie meant and it wasn't about the material worth you may have. I also feel like Rose teaches Brock an important lesson on what really matters in life and what he should value. I feel like for Rose, getting rid of the necklace was her way of letting Titanic go and getting everything off her shoulders and it was also the fact that she never wanted the necklace to begin with.

Nice. In the final version, selfish old bat Rose tosses the priceless jewel into the sea instead of selling it to build an orphanage or help her family. In this one, selfish bat does the same thing except makes adventurer look like an idiot beforehand by not snatching it from her had before she tosses it. Kind of surprised we didn’t get a musical number where they all dance with Jack’s ghost as he drapes the Heart of the Sea around his neck. Nerdy guy with beard the only one reacting like any normal person would.
