@@aaroncatalano8645 Mussolini built the Via dei Fori Imperiali. This street lies on the floor of the destroyed Trajans' Forum. This was the main obstacle for a reconstruction under Mussolini

One of the problems with Roman construction was that the upper floors were supported by wooden beams.....after a few hundred years the wood rots and the floors fall down.
