Thanks this video is super underrated despite how much information and stuff is in here, also I used only information from this video for my school assignment and I got an A thanks :)
I rented a car for us to get around and that worked out great! There are your groups and bus options. I would definitely make your way to San Ignacio. It’s a great hub for a lot of the stuff we visited while there.
1:27 Altun Ha was only active for about 2,000 years from 900 BC to 1000 AD... By the beginning of the eleventh century, the site of Altun Ha was completely abandoned, nature took over and it was forgotten... Europeans didn't show up for another 450 years and the site wasn't even discovered for another 450 years in 1950... but yeah, conquered
The best trip I've. Ever taken, the scenery was breathing, the ruins amazing and snorkeling on the reef was so incredible..

Wonderful historic overview - amazing to think of how these were constructed back in the day.
Definitely! Imagining them back then with a thriving culture inhabiting the entire area always makes my day when I get to walk around and explore.

Many cruises are now stopping in Belize including my most recent on. One of the excursions takes you to Altun Ha and they give you lunch as well
👍👍
Europeans conquered all of these countries and now you’re obsessed with them
