He earned a battlefield commission during the war. The U.S. Army offered to send him to West Point, but he turned it down, saying that he only attended the fifth grade and would not be able to graduate. So sad and tragic. A true Hero in every sense of the word.

I really liked watching Audrey Murray in movies. Be was a great hero while in the military. His life was never easy from the beginning and throughout the rest of his life. He was a grat patriot and saved many lives.
