As a percussionist, I cannot begin to describe what John Bonham did for modern drumming. There is a reason the band just stopped after his tragic death.
I often joke that Bonzo was my drum instructor. Started at 7 years old in the basement with nothing but my dad’s Zep albums.
IKR...I'm hearing Bonzo's famous bass drum triplets, not Plant's voice...
Bonzo Hammer of the Gods.
exactly.............there is no Led Zeppelin without bonzo :(
Bonzo was definitely the greatest. There wasn't anybody that could compare. I wept when I saw their performance at the O2 Arena. Bonzo would have been proud of Jason, as I was.
“SINCE IVE BEEN LOVING YOU” live from MSG 1973 should 100% be your next Zeppelin reaction. Its almost indescribable how amazing it is.
This would be my recommendation as well.
Ditto
Tbf anything from MSG would be incredible
Totally agree!
Yup, 100%
I was at this concert - Knebworth in England. Almost 4 hours of sheer magic. It's seared into my memory as the greatest musical experience in my 66 years on this earth.
Me too
So jealous. I was pretty oblivious to LZ at the time. Older me really wishes I had been there.
I can only imagine. I just turned 63 and Led Zep has been a musical anchor in my life. Never go to see them together as a band. Maybe in the next lifetime.
Me too!
So was I! 1979. Great time, fabulous music but my word, the toilets were truly dreadful and remain part of my memory!
If everyone was as passionate at something and as nice as this woman the world would be a much better place. Keep putting out the great content.
You KNOW?! I absolutely adore her! She's so beautiful, on the outside but has this inner "charisma" too that's SO nice to see these days! It's a great way to share WHY we love this music so a person perfectly educated it can explain it to everyone else & to top it off, she's a delight! I am SO Lol still over her obsession with Ronnie James Dio's voice!! I KNEW she'd find a voice she loves in metal but was I expecting it to be Dio? NOT in a million years but I CAN definitely see why!
Can't argue with that. Never. 😊
She is young, gorgeous, and gregarious...as well as extremely knowledgeable..what. Is not to love about her???
I so enjoy her! She's a delight!
I agree, 100%.
I really enjoy watching this channel.
John Paul Jones is the most underrated musician in Rock history. Not only did he hold the band together, he played several instruments for the band as well.
John Paul Jones was never underrated .
As a basssist whose first influence was JPJ I whole heartedly agree!
He was also responsible for a lot of the musical arrangements for the band as well. He is an amazing multi-instrumentalist.
JPJ was indeed underated but I think mostly for his keyboards and even mandolin, but yes for bass also, fer sure
Absolutely. JPJ was Led Zeppelin's secret weapon
The band was going through a very rough period. Robert Plant was dealing with the death of his son (which is what the song "All My Love" is about), Drummer John Bonham was drinking himself into the grave, and Guitarist Jimmy Page was dealing with a heroin addiction. It was up to bassist John Paul Jones to try and keep the band together. The band was burned out on the relentless schedule of a Rockstar. Back then it wasn't uncommon for bands to release several albums a year. Back then it was album, tour, album, tour, with no breaks in between. That's why a lot of those classic bands burnt themselves out after about 10 years.
Not to mention that these were the days before LED lighting, and stages were brutally hot. You can see the sweat pouring off of Page.
@@leehanson1416 LOL! Then why is no one else sweating? Think about it.
I remember and interview with Motley Crue from the mid 80's and they commented that their first 3 or 4 albums had come out so fast it started to feel like they were telling the fans, "Here's our new album." And the fans were saying, "We haven't finished listening to your last album yet." Of course, Crue also had their share of "issues" they were dealing with at that time.
But yeah, during this time period, bands were expected to put out an album (10-14 songs), tour for 9-10 months (more if the album was a huge hit}, get off the road and back in the studio to record a new album with at least 8 or 9 songs already written and ready to record. It truly is a wonder how many of these bands lasted as long as they did.
They sound like utter junkies.
@@leehanson1416 no doubt - I recall seeing the lacquer on the stage smoking from the Fresnels being switched on for about five seconds, four feet off the stage during a continuity check.
There will never be another band like Zeppelin. Timeless. People will still be listening to Led Zep a hundred years from now.
❤
I agree.... they ARE the standard
I’ll be cranking zeppelin the day I die.

I always say, at my funeral only Led Zeppelin songs are allowed!
Now I also want a Zeppelin-shaved tombstone
My favorite I had all kinds of Zeppelin stuff as a teenager!
I love watching Elizabeth switching from fan to professional mode so vividly. Her joy is so sincere and infectious, while her vocal insights are always spot on and amazing.
I just absolutely love watching Elizabeth discovering Rock music with all of us. Her facial expressions and uttermost joy are heartwarming and priceless.
I actually enjoy the appreciation she shows for these masterpieces that I grew up with
Oh absolutely! She's just ADORABLE! I am a huge fan of her both as a professional & as a human being! No one's able to keep their composure as well as she is & I HIGHLY DOUBT... ANYONE has criticized her simply bc they can hide behind the guise of anonymity from the internet. If SO, they should be ashamed of themselves & IF SO, Elizabeth, I'd personally be happy to give them a good a**-whooping for you bc I DO NOT hold as much class as do you in regards for people like THAT! 🙄
She is definately a beautiful soul, and the world is a better place with amazing personalities like hers. 🤝❤
She really is adorable when she geeks out on theory and technique.
Not only rock music, she analyzed many other music styles :)
"He's just so good at making noises." This reminded me of the classic rock station where I grew up had a game called "Animal or Plant" where they played a sound and the contestant would guess whether it was a wild animal or Robert Plant. They were right about 50/50.
Thats cool as fuck thanks for sharing. What a fun memory. 🤘😀🤘
That's hilariously brilliant!
If I ever put together a music quiz that has to be one of the categories. Brilliant idea!
Three words to describe Plant's bold singing style:
"Drugs... Drugs??? DRUGS!!"
(Insert Meme Here)
who ever came up with that idea was clever ,sounded like fun .
The ultimate song of unresolved urgency. It never stops. It never reconciles. Forever and ever it just builds and builds and builds...
nicely said
It is a lot like the "Shepard Tone"
Kind of like how India and Pakistan never stop squabbling over the land of Kashmir itself!
the only song that takes me to another world
@@cjwright79 lmfao
This music is over 50 years old. It brings me such joy to hear and see you react to LED Zeppelin. When I was in high school, hearing them, we had the same reaction. Critics panned them, but they couldn't stop the joy we felt listening to them on the radio and in our bedrooms on our record players. We had never heard anything like it and we fell in love with them. Led Zeppelin rocks on in our hearts.
One of the great things about Robert Plant and Jimmy Page is Plant could make his voice sound like Page playing the guitar and Page could make his guitar sound like Plant singing
That is the perfect way to describe it
Couldn't agree more. Great call...
That's the magic that made everything come together and made them so unique. No other band has ever influenced me so much since hearing them early 70s.
There's someone at 61 years old seeing a professional vocal coach reacting to music that I have loved for over 30 years it is a beautiful thing
Isn’t it tho 👍🏼💯
Totaly agree.
I'm not 61, but was raised with this era of music too (mainly thanks to my dad). The thing that gets me is when the person has a lot of musical intelligence and hears it for the first time, they notice and enjoy the bits that are really unique. Quite often people will like music but not really have a clue what makes it work, or will just not notice. When someone does notice, it's really satisfying. It's even more fun when they notice something you hadn't.
I don't think she clocked the fact that the guitars and keys were playing on one time signature and the drums on another, phasing in and out. Some of those drum interrupts reset the time signatures. To be fair, someone had to explain it to me too, but....
45 years for me😊
Yep! It's pretty cool!❤, I'm 69, btw.
This live version is pretty cool, but your really need to hear the studio version to hear just how insane in his voice really is.
or just a better live version....this is Robert at his lowest.
Studio version YES , all the live versions stink .
She picked the wrong version
I was at one of seven shows at LA Forum . 3 hours of Zeppelin and I will say it was sloppy but still cool. It’s rock and roll right? But yes wrong choice for this analysis.
This tour by the way.
This is my very favorite Zeppelin tune of all time, and your reactions are just PRICELESS!! I absolutely LOVE it!!
It's so refreshing to see someone truly and sincerely become giddy. I grew up with Zeppelin. Kashmir is one of my top favorites.
I am so thankful I grew up in the 70’s
The fact that we’re listening to it still now is a testament to the art of it.
🤘
Yep, classic music and classic cars.
Me too, 64 now and since 1970s nothing has come close to replace my love of deep purple and led zeppelin. 💜
Watching a professional "get it", makes the memories sweeter
Me too
They were great. If you survived to the end! Not everyone made it of course! Different times for kids...
“Bold,” “careless” and “attractive.” What a perfect summation of Robert Plant’s vocals.
My favorite part of this riff: Jimmy Page is hitting an open string on an upstroke between those half steps that everyone notices. It’s the tiniest thing to hear but try nailing it cleanly every time through the riff. Everyone hits the half steps but try to consistently hit that open string upstroke in a song that is odd meter and purposefully doesn’t resolve the tension of the chord structure. I love how they use middle eastern melody as an inspiration. This song is the one Robert Plant looks back on as their crowning achievement. Odd meter, harmonic tension unresolved, sexual tension from his vocals, the drum breaks hidden in the changes of the sections and the end of the song, Jimmy hitting all those melodically scribbled glissando guitar lines and how locked in he is in to John Bonhams drums. John Paul Jones creating all that atmospheric tension on the keyboards. It’s their masterpiece, at least according to Robert Plant.
It’s kind of interesting to see the charismatic voice drawn to Robert Plant’s charismatic voice…she crushes on him in real time, yet simultaneously across 40 years. Truly remarkable.
Who wouldnt?!?!!!
A traveler of both time and space
I’ve been crushing on him for 45 years….and he’s still amazing at 76 yrs old!
yes finally some zeppelin! this performance is excellent, especially given the "fatigue"😀 the rock star life had caused to most of the band members by this time. i hope you dive into the early days of led zeppelin too, e.g. the royal albert hall gig from 1970, but i'll sure take any zeppelin song analysis coming from you :) and jimmy please do not block this!😅
Or the 1969 Danish TV appearance.
@@johnanderson7739 THIS!
Any zep is great, live zep even better and live zep from the early years is best. Jimmy hadn't begun his decline from heroin and plant hadn't damaged his voice.
@@wildwillie5408 The great exception to this is the O2 Celebration Day show.
@@johnanderson7739 i love zep like no other but IMO the O2 show doesn't hold a candle to the early years when they were all in their prime. age has taken its toll and it's not truly zep without john bonham. jason is a good drummer nobody can replace Bonzo.
I've absolutely fallen for her facial reactions and her over all passion. Thank you for being you.
Absolutely agree..... that's the face of Joyful Discovery!!
I believe that Elizabeth's joyful expressions of shock and awe as she discovers new artisans' vocal instruments are more enjoyable than the artist's performance.
omg yes...this woman is (truly) so beautiful and sweet the way she expresses herself - I was afraid to say anything because I didn't want to detract from her excellent commentary
Damn Right.100 percent agree.
@@John-Andersen Sometimes...yes!
To quote "If everyone was as passionate at something and as nice as this woman, the world would be a much better place". I couldn't have put it better myself.
It's great that she's listening to a live version of Kashmir -- illustrating how Led Zeppelin could nail their sound with only three instruments and no overdubbing.
I only realized a few years ago that most of my favorite bands were three piece. From zepplin to nirvana to rush to tool etc etc. I like how the sound is so much more clean without that rhythm guitar in the middle messing up the sound.
Well technically not three instruments. I'll always consider Plant's voice the forth instrument in Zeppelin.
"He's just so good at making noises!" That's the whole damned thing and I SOOO appreciate that a professional with a lovely and versatile voice cosigns such imperfect experimentation! :-)
I'm 72. Fell in love with my husband tripping to "I've Been Loving You". Still married after 50 years. Zep is sublime...
I could swear she blushed too…
Thats a interesting and strong love bond history
and im 60 lost vg to the song
Grats on a long-lived marriage. It's not easy, but damn, it's worth the effort.
That is so beautiful, thank you, I’m glad I read your comment
There simply could never be another band as good as this.
I agree......sheer perfection
I am a fairly trained musician, old now , was crazy on zeppelin as a guitarist in the 70s , thank you for the passion you dig in with , i am brought to tears every time !
The delight on your face as you encounter Led Zeppelin: PRICELESS
You know that Elizabeth has that face like 50% of the time when she hears new music right? It's not a Zeppelin thing. Just fyi.
She can't control her emotions, she's mentally ill.
I love that she loves music so much❤️, seeing her joy and also hearing her talk about the music is what keeps me coming back.
She is incredibly smart and yet down to earth. And I love her laugh...... sounds like a musical chipmunk!
I just really encountered them now, and I am 54. Of course I know LZ but was never introduced to their music. Only knew Kashmir of course. Currently working myself through all their albums, chronologically.. absolutely amazing
This is actually a pretty understated performance by Plant. It’s like he’s holding back. Bonham on the other hand is a beast.
Agreed
Plant said at the first knebworth show his voice was kind of Clamy due to nerves and if you listen to the second knebworth show which is kind of a poor show musically you will hear plants voice is much more full and sounds more throaty in a good way.. at the first show his voice sounds slightly strangulated on the higher parts and more throaty passages. Plants best live vocals for Kashmir were on the 77 tour but nothing beats his studio vocal on Kashmir
I’m curious when this was. I wonder if it’s towards the end of their run. He seems over it. They went hard for 10 years
bonzo used crazy time signatures that would leave plants guitar playing and then tie back with him several measures later. his triplets and ghost notes are insane. best rock drummer period.
I thought this took place at Live Aid, 1985. John Bonham would have been long gone.
This is one of the finest examples of a four piece (perhaps the most individually and collectively talented) absolutely smashing a live performance of one of their most iconic songs. Musically it is untouchable, the drumming of Bonzo is incredible.
Led Zeppelin has been my go to band for as long as I can remember. Their music has helped me through good times and bad times. Kashmir is my favourite song. Thank you for breaking it down and pointing out things that are just beautiful that I have missed while listening in the past.
you really have to hear the studio version, full of middle eastern strings beautifully and powerfully arranged. this is their best song certainly, every hard rock singer wants to be Robert Plant, deep down, every heavy metal act strives to reach this kind of power, most fail to come close of course. this is one of the most significant pieces of music of the 20th century.
Also for that really long note (well, series of notes) from 4:13 to 4:26...("Where I've beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen").
Plus the Turkish? Orchestra version....with Robert plant and Jimmy Page.

You just witnessed the greatest band of all time at arguably their worst time, personally and artistically, yet this performance gives you chills at all times no matter how many times you listen to it. That says everything really!
Well it wasn't their worst performance. This was at Knebworth, yes?
hardly the greatest band ever but they were up there
@@christopherstarr8050 If you think of all the great songs they have made, they deserve to be mentioned with the beatles and rolling stones. They really were a super group. John Paul Jones was a great bass player, Bonham was a great drummer, Jimmy Paige was a great guitar player and Robert Plant was a great rock singer. They were able to make it work pretty well creatively. I am not the biggest led zeplin fan but they had a lot of magic.
Absolutely correct. Zep is the GOAT!
It's not that they were just the greatest band ever, but that they were so much better than whoever is number two.
Neither The Beatles or Stones could have lived with Zeppelin on stage. No chance.
Lets take a moment to appreciate the drummer and his amazing fills!
Physical Graffiti is one of their most under rated albums....double album....life changing!!!!!
Underrated? Lol... the only underrated LZ albums are maybe Presence and In Through the Out Door. Physical Graffiti is incredibly well known and well loved.
Plant is still making women swoon and giggle 45 years later... It's amazing to watch her melt as he sings.
If she didn’t I would wonder about her sanity.
The thing that really separates Led Zepplin isn't so much Plant's vocals or Page's lead guitar, but the way that John Paul Jones (bass) and John Bonham played off each other. It was pure musical genius.
Together they were great. Separate they're good.
It was a magical Gestalt.
What a band. What a tune. Blows me away every time...
I can't express how much I love watching and listening to your analysis of music. You have such an open mind and heart and your emotional responses are so genuine . You always make my day.
Robert Plant at his best, "Since I've Been Loving You", "In My Time Of Dying", "I Can"t Quit You Babe". He was a blues singer at heart. Thank you!
Oh yes, Since I've Been Loving You is probably Robert Plant at his best IMO

Your reaction to many of the song’s musical elements is informed and spot on. Your visceral reaction mirrors the love that millions of people around the world have for this band. Your reaction is from your head and your heart.
"Kashmir" reminds me of 1975 at the Wildwood, New Jersey Beach and Boardwalk and nightclubs in that area - all good times with "Physical Graffiti" as the soundtrack - I was lucky to see them at Madison Square Garden earlier that year giving a master performance on the release of that great album - I thank you for a fresh listen of this Led Zeppelin Classic and by watching your reaction they still have that magic spell!❤

You're beautifully articulate and translate what you feel in the music into very lyrical imagery or words at times. And you're warm, personable and engaging. Great analysis and helped me see some depths I hadn't actualised in a band I've loved since early teens.
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks for helping me revisit my favorite music with a new perspective
Well chosen, Elizabeth! Bands have modelled their whole sound around this one song alone! The very definition of a classic.

When I watch Elizabeth react to these classics it reminds me of when I first heard these songs. The excitement, the fascination, the emotion. I even find myself scoffing and thinking '... you haven't heard nothing , just wait till the second stanza of the third verse at the fourth ... " and she never disappoints. If I am not mistaken, this is a 7/8 guitar part over the top of a 4/4 drum part. Bonham is amazing to keep it all together through this.
I love the groove of this song. Bonham playing that rock solid 4/4 time while the guitar is in 3/4 sounds soooo awesome :)
Yeah, I'm actually a little surprised she didn't mention the unique 3 v 4 meter subdivision in this song. Just one of the things that makes it a rock masterpiece.
"Since i've been loving you" live at Madison Square Gardens is one you have to check out, it's possibly the best representation of just how awesome they were live (not that this doesn't!). Personal favourite is a straight tie between "Battle of Evermore" or "Babe i'm gonna leave you". Loved this react!

At this late stage in their career (1979), with Page & Bonham slightly hobbled by drug & alcohol demons, Zeppelin could still easily mesmerize audiences, but to fully appreciate all of their power, range & capability, you really needed to see them during their explosive prime (1969 thru 1972). A period in which they forever separated themselves from all other merely great rock bands.
Robert himself has said the rain song was his greatest vocal performance, so that would be a nice choice for another video.

Do you prefer the studio version over the live version from MSG 1973? I feel like the live version captures perfect imperfections of the band as well as better capturing the emotion. I love both versions for different reasons!
Better live version!
Live version is awesome
yes one of my favorites and the guitar solo is awesome
studio version by far the best
I LOVE her expressions. It's like watching a baby eat ice cream for the first time.Pure joy!She is awesome. New subscriber here!
oh my god same
I have been a long time subscriber and she is so genuine in her love of this and music in general, its great, always keeps me coming back most of the time even if i know i don't like the song
Just as she was amazed at Robert Plants seeming complete freedom and lack of fear to make whatever unconventional sounds that he saw fit. That is what is so fun about listening to her impressions and seeing and hearing these songs again for the very first time through her eyes and it truly is a delight. She is quite often stunned by what she is seeing and listening to, at the very minimum caught off guard and she does almost have a young persons reaction to something that she has seen so little of it that it still evokes a uncontrolled reaction to what she is seeing or hearing.
I'm a new subscriber to, she's such fun to watch, she really gets a kick out of it all, and it makes you enjoy the videos along with her..
She's brilliant..
She has such a unique perspective. It's a combination of her hearing the song/performance for the first time, her own expertise with singing, and her uncanny ability to be fully present when listening to the music. It's like she experiences music on another level compared to the average person.
I get the same feeling anytime I hear a old song I connect to I am immediately reminded of where I was , what season it was and where I was living... It's quite phenomenal, just like watching your lessons... thank you for you..⭐🍻💯🎤⭐
You are excellent at describing things in detail!! Thank you for breaking down the singing. Thank you, I could listen to you all day. You make me see things I didn’t notice before.
I love how, when she gets to a band we love, we start yelling "Yes! Yes! Now try X!! Try Y!"
I think it is because we live vicariously through her first experience with the song (and remember what it was like for us) while simultaneously marveling that she sees so much more than we do - allowing us to see it for the first time all over again.
Now try "When The Levee Breaks"....
“When The LEVEE Breaks”
@@lynnerose7891 My god I am so sorry. I edited it for you.
"I think it is because we live vicariously through her first experience with the song (and remember what it was like for us) while simultaneously marveling that she sees so much more than we do - allowing us to see it for the first time all over again."
Exactly this! I've loved this music for decades, thought I knew every nuance, but to see someone who is coming to it with fresh ears get so excited about it, and say why, is almost like hearing it again for the first time.
Now try Stairway To Heaven.
I wish I could like this comment a thousand times😁
Another cool feature of this tune is that in the main riff, Page & Jones are playing in 3 while Bonham is playing in 4. Such a great tune. Thanks for covering it!
Bonham always played in 4!. He was the four on the floor. Otherwise it would be Jazz-Rock. Too busy, Mahavishnu Orchestra territory - as much as I love them, too.
Wow heavy duty man.
@@apollomemories7399, that was true at times, and Black Dog is a great example, as John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page riff in 5/4, while John Bonham continues to drive through in 4/4. However, this wasn’t always the case. The Ocean uses a combination of ¾ and ⅞ time. Four Hands is a combination of ⅝ and 6/8, and let’s not get into The Crunge!
@@vancepitman2105 At times?! Are you kidding me?
The Ocean was dropped immediately from the live set after 1973. Four Sticks (Hands! oops) never performed. The Crunge was only ever a short riff section incorporated into jams on Whole Lotta Love in 1973 and never played again. None of these tracks were ever representative of Led Zep's live performances.
You managed to name just 3 tracks from the total of 90 tracks they recorded.
And you call that "at times"?
Don't make me laugh.
meet you at the 12.../
Elizabeth should review the duets with Robert Plant and Alison Krause. Their sound is so cool!
Great job as always, Elizabeth!! Thank you!!
I wish you would do a reaction video on Zeppelin's studio version of When the Levee Breaks!!!!
Your astonished reaction to the Zep is the same one that their true fans have had for 54 years now. They are the best band ever!
In "since I've been loving you" he does a combination of blues, rock voice and metal that is absolutely stunning 🙌🏽
Don't forget to add that the Madison Square Garden live version deserves 11 out of 10 performance points.
My all time favorite Zeppelin song. Especially the live version from the movie, The Song Remains The Same. The shots of the audience add so much to the enjoyment of the song.
@@gregvergara7596 Yes amazing amazing performance! Check out the "rough mix" version of this song IMO one of the best moments in music 🙌🏽
Try the badge holders only version from LA in 77...much better vocals and overall musicianship.
Thanks - love how you disassemble and assemble again!
1:48 most likely she recognizes the riff from Godzilla 1998 Puff Daddy - Come with Me.
Robert Plant (now age 73) is still releasing incredible music... his album with Alison Krause won the Grammy for Best Album in 2007. His voice is still so beautifully crisp and clear!
I love that he keeps evolving.
Yep, just caught his tour with the ShapeShifters a few yrs ago
That album was amazing
Love that Robert has allowed the changes in his voice to dictate his style. He may have lost a few high notes but his voice is so rich in the lower mids now. And yes, somehowIn in his 70s, that voice still has a sexiness that most of us would kill for!
Seen his performance live at Burbon and Beyond 2019, he's still got it.
It is great you finally are discovering Led Zeppelin. This performance is in their last days and not the best representation unless you really already knew who these guys were. To get to the real Led Zeppelin experience is to start from their beginning and go through the journey at their best, early Zeppelin. Go to the live Royal Albert Hall Live concert and then to The Song Remains The Same Live performances. Think you will understand clearly why they are revered so highly as the Rock Gods they are known for.
Agree 100%.
Yeah not the best video to use. Hope she returns to Led Zeppelin soon.
Yes, with special attention to the albums Led Zeppelin 2, 3 and 4, when Robert Plant had his voice in the peak. And The Song Remains the Same, live, as you mentioned.
Definitely sounds like John Bonham's cymbals are either phase shifted or flangered? Or at least the microphones miking them are. But I think his drums are as well? At least the snare has some sort of phase shifting of the microphone/s. Just sounds so cool. And it's especially noticeable in those stop-time breaks when Jimmy just seems to cut across the screen.
But it's interesting to note too how often Robert would get asked by reporters if Stairway to Heaven was the definitive defining Zep moment & he always said "Absolutely not. No. Kashmir is." So he always knew that about this song.
So great to see you youngsters enjoying music from my youth. Robert, Jimmy, John and John Paul, were such great musicians of their time. So great to hear your analysis of their skills.
I spent 2 years in the Taklimakan Desert in China in the mid 80s and know what you are saying.
Please do “Since I’ve been loving you” by Led Zeppelin next. The guitar and vocals will blow you away.
Yeah that’s defiantly a hidden gem from Zep 3. One of Jimmy Page’s best guitar songs as well.
Try the badge holders only version from LA in 77...much better vocals and overall musicianship.
Again, use the studio version. The version on III is essentially a live track anyway.
Maybe she'll hear the bass drum pedal. :)
"Ten Years Gone" or "Since I've Been Loving You" are personal favorites of mine by Led Zeppelin
same, cheers
Absolutely
100% hands down agree. The raw power of "Loving You" is just Zep at their absolute bluesy best. And "Ten Tears Gone" is probably my all-time favorite Zep tune from my favorite all-time Zep record. Gets the hair on my arms raised every time in chills at its sheer beauty. But really, Physical Graffiti as an album showcases a band at their absolute peak of creativity and power.
Of course, then there's always "The Rain Song"...
😄
"The Ocean" is another great Zepplin Song. It's my favorite.
I saw them play once. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Plant in his prime was amazing. So were the "other guys."
Another thing about this riff is that the guitar part is in 3/4 while drums are in 4/4, so it syncopates once every three tabs, which is just another thing releasing tension. Brilliant writing
I'm not trying to be a troll here. The riff is exactly as you describe but the song is even more complex. e.g. 6:30. which surprised any first time listener. This is a challenging song/composition to get rhythmically accurate.
Agree! Can the guitar riff be counted as 6/8 tho? Works in my head that way.
@@curtshontz163 It' s a very sensible way of counting the guitar riff but given this is Jethro Tull it doesn't work throughout the song.
I’m glad you pointed out the moment where he emulated Elvis. Robert Plant is famously influenced by Elvis and it really shows in his stage presence and vocal performance.
Every member of this band was exceptionally creative and musically gifted.
Geniuses
I absolutely LOVE watching her reaction to Plant's mastery of vocal riffing.
I love Elizabeth’s genuine emotions and honesty to artists and musicians that are dear to my heart on these musical journeys of discovery she’s taken on the ship of rock 🤘🏻
Ac dc can’t be far away now but will it be Bonn or Brian on the track
Led Zeppelin were and still are at the top of the tree with regards to sing structure, song writing and pure musicianship. All four members of the band were the best at what they did and in my opinion even after 50yrs their music still kicks ass!!
Had to watch this again. “He’s just so good at making noises” is probably the best description of Robert Plant ever 😅
Love to see you laugh and smile, and so professional about vocals! It makes your channel, and videos so fun to view til the end! Your Awsome..Foo fighters soon, please, please!! 😊
