A brutal season ending game! In frigid weather, the Steelers’ pull this one out behind strong defensive play, lead by Troy Polamalu! With Mendenhall tearing his ACL, Redman fills in but fumbles TWICE! The defense steps up & makes plays when it matters! A fun game but nonetheless, the Stiller limped into Denver after this one. 12-4 & while only getting the 5 seed is rough! Don’t forget to like & subscribe! The season never ends in Yinzburgh! 🖤💛
13:43 is a stunning image for me. Farrior standing there as the clock ticks down for the final time for a lot of the 2000s Steelers as this would be Farriors, Aaron Smiths, McFaddens, Hines Wards, Kemoatu's, and Chris Hoke's final regular season game in the NFL. End of an era
I remember so vividly. The Browns had the #1 pass defense and the Steelers opt to throw it like 45 times this game on such a brutal-weathered day and barely squeaked by. The hard fought win came with a price as Mendenhall tore his knee up, the defense got banged up and it costed them dearly the next week in Denver, a loss that still makes me nauseous to this day because unlike most years, all 4 of the Steelers losses in the Reg season was to playoff teams (Baltimore twice, San Fran, and Houston) and only toclose to a very inferior 8-8 Tebow and the Broncos. They never recovered from it if u ask me. Also the 2012 Steelers didn't allow a 300 yard passer ALL SEASON, and they went up against Brady that year and held him to only 125 passing yards, then they allow Tebow to drop over 300 yards passing🤮
@@johnnycleveland216 The Browns had the #2 pass defense, still pretty good. I had to double check, been 11 years lol. The Browns had the better Corners here with a young Haden tho, an underrated pickup for the Steelers.
I always loved the ed reed polamalu debate on who was the best, my brother put it the best, ed reed is probably slightly a better safety but troy is a better football player. Troy was a safety and cb, a lb, a d lineman etc, the epitome of a defensive football player
you had 3 amazing safeties during this era with reed, troy and dawkins. loved watching those 3 play. but i still love ward kn ocking reed out during a kick off return down the field though ;)
I love me some Troy Polamalu for sure! If you haven't yet, please do a video on Isaac Redman. Just his records at Bowie State University alone make him a legend and sadly an injury to his spine ended his NFL career. He only played with the Steelers for a short time but made a real impact on the Steeler Nation, In 2012, Steelers-centric SB Nation blog Behind the Steel Curtain created what is known as the "Redman Award." The award, inspired by Isaac Redman's impressive preseason play throughout his career, was to be awarded to a Steelers player, a sixth-round draft pick or lower, who had convinced the fan base throughout the preseason that they were a "diamond in the rough." Love this channel, Here We Go Yinz!
redman was who i wanted to become a featured back over mendenhall. i think he had a very jerome bettis type run style but more brutal. glad to have him with us. hell of a running back
It absolutely hurts me to my core that Antonio Brown turned out the way he did....dude was an animal on the field....he would have non Steeler fans watching just to watch him.
@@coreyrowe4119 Football and money destroy people. Tomlin always bets on his leadership and Steelers role models outpacing the damage, but for Brown it wasn't enough.
we also have an offensive line and QB room that could render that talent useless or we could win anywhere from 5 to 12 games this is the most volatile feeling season since probably 2004 before we knew what we really had.
Wait so you're telling me Antonio Brown has three career helmet catches. I remember the one in the playoff game against the Ravens and the Thursday night one against the Titans but I do not remember this Browns one wow. He really made a technic out of it I wish he never went crazy LOL.
Well. they played different positions, so not the best comparison. But even if they did, it doesn't really matter. They are both in Canton, and both legends.
My first Browns Steelers game ever… my god it was bitter cold and Seneca Wallace almost pulled off the upset. Browns sent the Steelers crippled going into Denver this was a tough typical AFC North matchup. Also watching Joe Haden trying to cover Antonio Brown every year made my eyes bleed. I also think this Browns team if it wasn’t for Pat Shurmur’s terrible coaching they should have won at least 8 games this season… they were better than their 4-12 record.
I’m in the minority, but man I loved Rashard. Looking back, he had a ton of hard fought games. Injuries & the fumble seemed to have a taken a toll on him
The crazy thing is this was Ike Taylor's best season in the very next game he gets destroyed by Thomas and Tim Tebow. This game is bringing back so many great and bad memories they really lost to Tim Tebow.
There’s something a little weird about watching AB catch balls against Haden. Admittedly, I’m a huge Steelers fan. With that said, I’m sure Steelers fans. Well, we may have a different perspective on both of those players now. Haden is a class act, and I’m going to miss him.
The same reason why they didn't destroy them in 2009. Or why the Killer B's didn't win anything. At the end of the day, Defense dictates the day in Pittsburgh. They never won with Offense.
Hearing them talk during this game about how Hines Ward was pretty much a lock for Canton just makes me all the more angry about the straight up disrespect that the HOF has been showing Steelers players for the last decade or so, especially Hines. He deserves a gold jacket in the very near future.
Yes this game was ugly if you love offense but that Browns offense was so putrid that year so they weren't going to do much against the Steelers top ranked d.

Troy was an absolute beast...he grew up like 5 minutes from my house here on Los Angeles...been a Steelers fan since 1986.....great video my guy.
Thank you 🖤💛
I could (and usually do) watch Steeler highlights all day long.
oh, i had a bad yesterday, today...thanx once again, Tyler.
Of course man!

Yinz is the DJ Khaled of Steelers content! "And another one!"

Love Isaac! I should definitely do one soon! When I was 13, I had made a Facebook page for him haha
I second this motion!

Steelers Achilles heel ALWAYS playing down to the other teams level
Damn, Isaac Redmond was a straight beast in this game. #Steelcurtain
I was at this game and I’ve been looking for the highlights forever!! Thank you!!
Damnnn that crazy in ABs 2nd year he was the first player ever to get 1,000 rec yards and return yards that crayz
It absolutely hurts me to my core that Antonio Brown turned out the way he did....dude was an animal on the field....he would have non Steeler fans watching just to watch him.
It's a shame the way he completely destroyed himself and killed his own career even with all the extra chances he got.
@@coreyrowe4119 Football and money destroy people. Tomlin always bets on his leadership and Steelers role models outpacing the damage, but for Brown it wasn't enough.
That ball and that man will be in the hall of fame- still waiting

Haden was a beast in CLE but absolutely got bullied by Brown, always felt bad for Joe lol Gotta love the AFC North slugfests
That injury to Mendenhall was it for the season....and for his career essentially.
I’m in the minority, but man I loved Rashard. Looking back, he had a ton of hard fought games. Injuries & the fumble seemed to have a taken a toll on him
Goat safety
here we go Pittsburgh here we go it is great to be a Pittsburgh fan
Love Steelers and polamolu

Generation after generation of high quality football.
That Tasmanian Devil at his best
How is Hines still not in the HOF?
Literally watch every one of your videos. Your welcome
Remember in Super Techmo Bowl where you could sack the QB every time...THAT'S what Troy looks like timing the snap.

I forgot how much I liked Jerricho Cotchery
Steelers were 12-4 that year. Browns were 4-12. Why our offense didn't destroy those guys pretty much sums up the frustration of that season.
The same reason why they didn't destroy them in 2009. Or why the Killer B's didn't win anything.

The Browns were 2 free wins every year
He almost had it!!! Hahaha
Does it count as a sack if you get the qb before he can even hand it off? Lol
Yes this game was ugly if you love offense but that Browns offense was so putrid that year so they weren't going to do much against the Steelers top ranked d.
Imagine if TJ WATT played with Troy my god our defense would have been unstoppable
Jason worilds would of been the next James Harrison had he not retired early
Just imagine if he was as good as Ed Reed...
Ben @ 60% is better than all other quarterbacks in the NFL. Hell, Bens better than most @ 30%...
Love the Steelers- but the title for this vid should be be "11-4 Steelers BARELY beat 4-11 Browns (Ben is hurt)"
AFC North games are always AFC North games
4-12, just another browns team
Great game, but what a disappointing season.
