    Here is how i see it, IF the Synergy SLO module can get me 3/4 of the way to the tone of a $4000 Soldano head for $399 then i want one! :)

    Great job comparing the two. It would be cool to hear the SLO Synergy through the Effects loop of the SLO 100.

    I thought the Synergy sounded pretty good. Then you plugged into the SLO 100. The SLO sounds great, like it should. For 1/10 of the price the Synergy is a pretty nice tone. A pretty close approximation of the amp. I wasn't expecting The Synergy to pass a blind A/B test but it's a nice piece of gear. Damn, that SLO sounds wicked.

    Hi Jesse, this module was designed by Soldano themselves, this is the ethos behind the Synergy system, if it is branded as Engle, Diezel, Friedman, Soldano etc, then these are authentic preamp circuits designed by the amp manufacturers themselves,
    btw Steve Fryette of VHT/Fryette fame designed the Synergy SYN5050 power amp, it's essentially a rebranded Fryette LXII 😀

    There is a comparison of 20 modern metal heads through one cab/ir and there is soooo little diffrence, i bet if you tweeked the knobs you would get sunergy to sound 100% like real deal.

      The Soldano is very similar to a Marshall JCM800, but more bass, mids and treble.

    Hi Jesse , Sounds to me like the power am in the Soldano Head is making the difference , the Synergy (all do nearly same ) seams to miss some thunder (Sag and compression,thickness ) all do the Synergy slo has a sag knob ...did you try the mono Synergy pre in the Soldano power section if you can get 100% the same sound , otherwise add a Simple MXR compressor,, i imagine a 100% similar sound can be tweaked ..... i was planning to buy a Synergy version and trow it though two Fender Showman's

  • @morellasgeorgios8449
    @morellasgeorgios8449 5 років тому +2

    I hear a LOT of difference in favor of the soldano to be honest.
    It is like more of everything. More good gain more treble more open sound and a bit fuzzier, more thickness more aggression, more bass. Like two or more amps running at once vs the synergy being completely one dimensional and muddy vs the real amp...oh man wasn't expecting that
