Brilliant video and so informative 👍🏻 I haven’t seen any videos where people show you where the put all their stuff properly. Have a fantastic time in Spain, will be watching for sure 🏝️⛱️🫣
Hi and thank you very much, we wanted to give people an idea of what can be carried, where it's stored and what the weight will be. Hopefully, this will help others as it doesn’t take much to be overweight, especially with the lower-rated vehicles. Happy travels 😊
Hi, and thank you we always appreciate it 😊 Air suspension would help if you were looking to have the motorhome uprated. Most motorhomes can be uprated without modifications to a limit 👍 The main reason people don’t do it over 3.5t is the driving license entitlement.
@lifes4touring I was thinking more along the lines of lifting the rear to get over the being a bit low on occasions, due to the overhang , luckily I have C1 🙂
Great van tour for where you have stuff and how you have stopped rattles... good advice to get the moho weighed. We do a full empty. Get genny weighed then put things back that we will use as we weigh them. Gives an exact weight. 600kg light so Jodie can take the extra clothes she was going to leave.. ha ha.... hope you have a great hol. Looking forward to following you on your travels
Hi thank you and hope you are both keeping well and enjoyed the Western show. You have a good idea in doing a full empty and then adding your stuff as you won’t run the risk of turning up to the weighbridge overweight 👍 I'm sure Jodie will now add more stuff and definitely on our travels 🤣
Hi yes, it's the Flexplus breakdown cover and this is their cover for motorhomes. Motorhomes are up to 7.5T max don't be confused by the standard vehicle weight at 3.5T max. Weight and size restrictions (including any load carried) We cover vehicles highlighted in section 1 of these vehicle terms and conditions providing that they comply with the limitations and vehicle type, weight and size restrictions, and other conditions as set out below. The trailer, caravan and its load must also comply with the size and weight restrictions below, or unfortunately the AA will be unable to recover your property. • Maximum vehicle weight: 3.5 tonnes (3500kgs) gross vehicle laden weight • Maximum Vehicle Weight for Motorhomes ONLY: 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight • Maximum vehicle length: 8m (26.2ft)* • Maximum vehicle width: 2.55m (8ft 3in)* *These dimensions will be calculated taking into account anything attached to your vehicle and any trailer or caravan, including but not limited to towing equipment, any carriers or racks (e.g. bike or luggage), or anything else attached to the vehicle or the carriers/racks. Hope this helps, happy travels 😊
Hi guys 👋👋 Great vlog and good to get the motorhome weighed and good that you have plenty of room for more equipment and clothes for Jodie and beers for you,😂 Outtakes were brilliant 🤩 🤣🤣safe travels in Spain 🇪🇸 we will be in the new forest 🌳 hope the ferry ⛴️ crossing is good xx 👋👋
Hi guys and thank you we hope the ferry crossing goes well too 👍 enjoy the New Forest as it’s beautiful and not too far from us. Hopefully catch up on our return, happy travels 😊
Hi there one thing you amy have forgotten TEA BAGS . They are not the easiest thing to find is Spain or at least we sometimes had trouble getting good tea .😊😊
HI guys have a great trip one question about the freshwater pipe moving it will be easy what about the electrical connection will you havto extend the cables when you find out can you post it please kind regards ds mart😂in
Hi Martin, Thank you 😊 The electrical connection will have to be moved and it will probably run under the motorhome however we will show this in a video when it's complete 👍 Happy travels 😊
What a great vlog carnt wait to see you on ferry as we will be getting it next week .Do we have to weigh the van before going as we didn't when we went to France have a great time we may see you there.
Hi and thank you very much. You don’t have to get your van weighed it's a personal choice to see if we are carrying too much and overweight. The last thing anyone wants is to get pulled and weighed to find you over your vehicle weight limit. It's not difficult to get the van weighed as there are plenty of weighbridges around, well worth the peace of mind. Have a safe trip next week, happy travels 😊
Cracking video again. Your subsubsububu thingy made me realise that I hadn't 🤣. Your loading tips were brilliant, but could I suggest two small fine tunes - have your fluorescent coats above your head in the front for when you need them in an emergency. Also, please try and secure the power bank between you because that can potentially be a killer in an accident, Enjoy your hols, and I'll be following you x
On a private weighbridge yes you can drive away. However please bear in mind you will not be legal on the roads so if you can dump some weight like water to bring you under. If you get pulled by the DVSA you will be fined and won’t be able to go anywhere until you lose some weight to bring you under your max limit. The direct gov website tells us that the following fines will be imposed for overloading; 5-10% overloaded - £100 10-15% overloaded - £200 15-30% overloaded - £300 More than 30% overloaded and you will normally get a court summons, your vehicle may be immobilised, you can be fined £80 & your insurance may be invalid if you are involved in an accident. Hope this helps and happy travels 😊

Great Video Guys. ❤ xx
Thank you 😊
Always good to find out how the weight is distributed, wonder if air suspension on the rear would help out , safe travels and thanks for the tour
Hi, and thank you we always appreciate it 😊

@lifes4touring I was thinking more along the lines of lifting the rear to get over the being a bit low on occasions, due to the overhang , luckily I have C1 🙂
Ah, I get you as that is always a concern and from what I understand air suspension would help lift the motorhome a little 👍
Great Vlog, well done, by far the best on the tube. Helps that you have a kontiki of course. 😊
Thank you this really does mean a lot to us and we hope it helps others with their adventures. Of course, the Kontiki is a bonus 😊

Diesel weighs the same as water roughly, so fuel capacity is 90 litres, fuel weight would be 90 kilo, great video thanks
Hi and thank you very much, we wasn’t 100% on the size of the fuel tank so thank you for letting us know. Happy travels 😊
Love the outtakes 😂

🤣🤣 Thank you and thanks for subbing we really appreciate it. Great tips and something we will look at doing before we leave 😊
If someone was over weight do they let you drive off? Or do they keep you on site until under weight?

Hope this helps and happy travels 😊
