Always look for their promo skills, because it helps you build a feud, build the star itself, even if his popularity is poor and he helps you getting money, in case he isn’t in any feud at that point. I only draft superstars with at least lvl 3/5 promo and always check the pool first for 5/5 promo guys. They’re always your first pick

The best way to improve promos is having them continue to do them. Always make them call out or do any promo. I had dexter lumis, 1/5 become a 5/5 within 2 seasons.

Promo skill is set and unchangeable for the most part. Only things like certain shake up cards can improve it

I just got the game and honestly haven't played since 2K7 lol...can you draft created characters in the My GM mode??
You can mess around with the roster before you start a new save in gm mode and can add them in if that's what you want to do
