The hole has enough air for one person for 10 minutes. If you put six people in there, they have less than 2 minutes of air. Which could still work, but would be pretty risky.

I believe my first encounter with CR was the D&Diesel oneshot years ago. I guess it was on my feed cuz I was into The Guild at the time…which was the gateway into D&D and TTRPGs in general. The hole has enough air for one person for 10 minutes. If you put six people in there, they have less than 2 minutes of air. Which could still work, but would be pretty risky.
Druids get air bubble at 3rd level, they could breath air for 24 hours in the hole while Fearne wild shapes into a mosquito

LOL party mentioning sweeny todd when they keep putting bodies in their pantry that FCG makes baked goods from is so perfect, with the horror elements a lot of their party has going for them already I can absolutely see fcg being a little meat pie maker.
