- Nerium oleander is known by many as the freeway plant. Pretty harsh name for such a valuable plant in dry, deer areas wit such a long bloom cycle. To learn more please watch the video. For more on this and many other plants please visit www.designwithplants.com
Beautiful kanair
"Nerium oleander is known by many as the freeway plant."
I call this my annoying neighbor plant. I put 18 in to block the drunks view.
Lol I just planted 10 for the same reason
Good video,Thanks for posting,I need a few to plant by my fence,do you know what space between each oleander is 3 feet?
Mine started showing some white spots on the stems what can I do thanks in advance
How far apart to plant them if used as a hedge? Plus, can all varieties be used as hedges?
I want to use them as a brush i have bought them i just need to know how far away from each plant
Beautiful!!
The advertisement is unethical. Don't buy and don't advertise for chemicals that go into the drain pipes and into watersheds.
It's actually extremely toxic
Why?
What would be with me if oleander will locate in the same room with me. Maybe toxic they juice, but I do not drink them
It's highly therapeutic I. Low dose as well, new evidence it being trialed for Covid in fact
It is!
Every part of the plant is toxic, even the water it is/was in, is poisonous. People use it for suicides.
A single leaf can end up being lethal to a kid if they eat it.
And that's why you keep your pets under control- ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
@@Noone-hp8zm white oleander seeds are poison is it
@@daleval2182u r full of it.
Don't plant oleander next to a public footpath/sidewalk as it is toxic
Only if you eat it.
@@sjreynolds6881 No, you are likely to get skin irritation and rash though if you touch it still. There was some growing in the wooded area in the gated community I live in and and an 8 year old just tripped recently into some of the oleander that had fallen onto the ground. He actually got skin rashes all over his hands and knees even though it was dirt/soil ground and he complained of stinging/burning. The HOA removed the bush (hell I didn't even know what oleander was until this happened). Crazy that the worlds deadliest plant was right here in my backyard this whole time in California. Scary
@@sethpayne4838 I have a huge one in my front yard, I trim it 3 times a year to keep it at 7 foot otherwise it grows huge, never has it ever given me any rash. So I'm guessing the kid was allergic or something else was going on.
This plant is very, very danger.
The Nerium is White Plant
Oleander is Red Plant
