Can you do a video on how someone can start getting into the gig scene? I'm 17 now and have been playing for almost a year and I've practiced quite a bit. I'm not exactly ready for gigs and stuff, but when I turn 18, I really want to get experience out there, and I have no idea how/where to start. I don't have a band, I don't have friends that, I'm gonna be blunt, are good at any instrument, so I have no one to start with. Also about how to find and book for beginners, and maybe a checklist of things to do to get ready before a gig to make everything goes as smooth as possible. And also advice on how to actually get your name out there in order to get more gigs, or even find bands that are looking for players. Thanks

Sam Potter obnoxious comments for people not making their own videos is also essential. It helps you feel validated in life when in truth your day was wasted and your life is wasted. Always somebody's a critic!

The anchor chords are everywhere. Even Sammy Hagar’s Where Eagles Fly is the G, C, and D shapes. He also moves the Dsus up and down the neck a few frets to play the bridge. He just moves his pinky up and down a couple of frets during that bridge, too. I think 1/3 - 1/2 of More Than Words uses those, as well.

This is cool. I want people to think I’m a lot better than I really am because right now most think I’m a lot worse than I really am.
I keep telling people I’m a much better guitar player than I sound. If people only didn’t focus on the sound so much. 🤣

Thanks for this info. I had hand and ulner ( funny bone )surgery on both elbows and hands this past year. I could not form barre chords and still can’t. I never felt comfortable playing the easy way of those cords as you showed. My hands can’t do what the once could. Ive played on an off for 58 years self taught ,playing by ear. I’ll sell most of my six strings and use my bass or try.
