Thank you Homeworthy for touring my house and gardens! I have loved reading the comments and will admit that opening my home makes me feel so vulnerable! I think because it allows for judgement… but everyone has different taste and that is the best part about these episodes. I hope y’all come back to see the gardens in the spring!
I don’t get a Nancy Meyers ( who I love🤍) Vibe at all except for perhaps the kitchen. Regardless this home is interesting and very well designed/curated🙌
Really enjoyed both the home and the garden. The love for stories that are part of many items help to foster appreciation by her girls for how we judge not only "things" but people. They have created a lovely home unique to their story. ❤
I like her blouse. And I like how colorful her house is. Not a fan of backwards books even though some designers are doing it. To me it doesn't make sense. I also love that greenhouse. I want one!
I love the house..however, I never got the “turning books around”. It is not practical (her husband had to re-buy a book he already has?!) and it is not particularly beautiful. 🫤
Clearly she's not a reader. I can't stand the look and as a reader I would find it infuriating to try and find something. Just no! Also, what a waste of a beautiful piece of furniture.
The French chest would be so lovely if books were properly displayed. Perhaps move the framed flag to the family room as well as those woven plates. The mirror should be the show stopper as it is stunning!
Deb here. Love your garden. You are amazing that you have created this space in your backyard. Can see how happy it makes you. My garden makes me happy, too.
So inspiring to see and hear unique people creating their own memories as they mature and nest in their forever homes. Happy creative people always brighten up the day. Great interiors and host. Stay true to yourself and style, you own it and it rocks.
Love love your home and I’m in H-Town Montrose now, born and raised. Memorial, River oaks and West U my three favorite places. It looks like a true memorial home, uniquely designed to your taste.🏠
i follow the garden girls on instagram, so when i saw this episode, i knew i had to watch. i loved it so much, i saved it to watch again and again. great inspiration, and so unique!!!
Love Nancy Meyers’ movies! It’s Complicated, something’s gotta give, The Holiday! I do not get any Nancy Meyers inspiration at all from this home. Eclectic is what I see. Nancy Meyers design style for her sets are clean, comfy, soothing and cozy.
My daughter goes goes to A&M and the bushes are buried there at college station. We visited their grave a couple of months ago and it was such an honor to visit a presidents grave. Her barbera bush story cracked me up 😂❤
You know the reason for napkin rings…Each person had a specific napkin ring or had their initials on them. Instead of throwing the napkins in the laundry after each meal, they would place their used napkin in their ring, and use the same napkin for several days. 🤷🏼♀️👍
A serious question - I’m curious if you love gardening outdoors more than eating it or cutting it for an indoor display. It just appears you are more excited to experiment and grow it than actually part-take of it. I HAVE to know this BEFORE I start a garden. For me, with my one rose bush, it’s difficult to cut a rose off, so if I start a veggie garden, will I can or store, or cook with it…I might not.
Every time I make a comment they are deleted. I will be so so kind in my remarks, OKAY. I don't get Americano ? She sounds so sweet. NO nonsence. Nice girl !!
Saw her love of the black/white theme in the floors, rugs, awnings, chair cushions...love that. Don't know about the Nancy Meyers thing because that is all about practical use of things everyday and this homeowner was not of the practical side at all e.g. her large piece of furniture with tons of books that you CAN'T read or take out- that would drive me crazy. This homeowner's style is all about the aesthetics and never mind practicality, the fact that you can't eat the croissants setting out on the counter.

I don't get Nancy Meyers's inspiration in her home, but I do get a very cool, unique vibe, which is Jen's style, and that is inspirational as well!
I don’t get a Nancy Meyers ( who I love🤍) Vibe at all except for perhaps the kitchen. Regardless this home is interesting and very well designed/curated🙌
Thank you ❤.
A beautiful hostess and a wonderful home and garden. Love all of your collections. Thank you so much for sharing.

Loved this home and the owner!! Her style is beautiful 😊
A wonderful story teller and beautiful home and collections.
I enjoyed the home tour but wow did she come alive when the garden tour began. You could just see the joy and energy gardening gives her!
I honestly didn’t think I was going to like this house at first but I really do!
The garden is beautiful and the 'show croissants' are hilarious!
Unique decorating style. Adorable

Love this home and it’s unique pieces. Love learning about Garden Girls and seeing this amazing outdoor space. Great tour.
I love the suite cases and storing Christmas ornaments in them. This idea got me thinking 😊
Love the luggage “tree”. Thanks for the idea
😊

Agree
Those books 🤯
Ugh. Yes.
I love the house..however, I never got the “turning books around”. It is not practical (her husband had to re-buy a book he already has?!) and it is not particularly beautiful. 🫤

It looks ridiculous turning books around like that!
Turning the books round??? More cringe-worthy than home-worthy 😖.
Love her collections, the Barbara Bush ornament, and the garden! I love “show” bread and croissants too!
The French chest would be so lovely if books were properly displayed. Perhaps move the framed flag to the family room as well as those woven plates. The mirror should be the show stopper as it is stunning!
I happen to love the way the books are displayed!
The outdoor spaces & garden was my favorites.
I guess I will keep an eye out for her at round top next year. Love her garden!
Would love to see you in RT!

Absolutely beautiful 🤩
Love this home ❤❤❤❤

The Barbara Bush story is so precious!
Love her and love her home!
Love at first sight 🌿🌟💚
Love her kitchen and the utility room.
i follow the garden girls on instagram, so when i saw this episode, i knew i had to watch. i loved it so much, i saved it to watch again and again. great inspiration, and so unique!!!
My favorites are the suitcases and the book cabinet. It may be hard to find your favorite book, but oh so pretty! Beautiful home ❤
You've Got Mail is not a Nancy Meyers movie. It's Nora Ephron's.
@@Gardengirlstx1 No, she didn't. An easy google search will tell you she had nothing to do with YGM.
You’ve Got Mail is Norah Ephron, not Nancy. They are both great! Pretty house.
Nora Ephron wrote the movie . Set design Susan Bode Ellen Christiansen
Love the American flag in the wall

Nancy Meyers wrote and directed It’s Complicated (as she did for a lot of her movies we love) and was not the set director.
My daughter goes goes to A&M and the bushes are buried there at college station. We visited their grave a couple of months ago and it was such an honor to visit a presidents grave. Her barbera bush story cracked me up 😂❤
42:29 I really like your home. it's amazing.I have a big house and garden too. I have got some ideas from your sharing. Thank you.
Done watching when I saw that book 😂

For people that are color blind there are glasses now that you can buy that allow you to see all colors. There are vds on these.
The faux croissants. 😂❤😂❤

Beautiful garden
Bread sitting out? 🫣🐜🪳
Sorry to say this but you will be glad BB was not your grandmother when all is revealed.
