I think the remark is more about showing a more relatable living situation as opposed to the many very large and luxurious homes that are shown on this channel. It wasn't a snotty remark at all.
It’s my favorite, I’m watching it again. I tried to make my 4 kids childhoods very whimsical. Cinderella dresses, doll houses my sons had tee pee’s I’d make the tea parties with our neighbors. I literally had a white picket fence. They had wrought iron Bunny beds. My daughters loved their childhood. My sons ( they’re boys ) 🙄 this mom & dad are fabulous. She definitely is making a magical home for her daughters. Love their princess chair. I can only imagine what their next home will look like. Hope we get to see them again.
phyllislloyd392@ Either you don't know New York City or you are wealthy. This couple may not be rich as in the NYC millionaires that live in penthouses, but they are not poor. They are better off than the average New Yorker. A two-bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan facing Central Park is expensive and beyond the affordability of most New Yorkers.
The girls room truly is the best: stuffed animals on a rod, three toddler beds in a row, vintage tablecloth to cover the closet, delightful artwork etc.
@@jessica4245 what I wonder is where she paints things. She doesn't have a work area that I can see. I found that a problem when I lived in the city. I lived alone and occasionally painted a piece in my tiny bathroom, but I was the only one using it.

My favorite of all the episodes of rich women talking about what they like and what they HAVE!!! This is a true HOME and a really cute family love that the husband was involved as well as the kids ❤ Mom is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
The return of the prodigal son print, the little beds lined up, the fresh flowers, the all white palette, the large book collection, the view of the park. These are a few of my favorite things.
I’ve lived with my 3 year old daughter in a one bedroom apartment for the past 2 years. We love it. It’s beautiful. Forces us to stay neat and uncluttered. And I save money. It’s the bond that makes the home. Not the space. 💕

What a beautiful family, and Heather has so much talent, to manage 3 kids and homeschool in that space constraint is not easy. She managed to curate an inspirational space that will stay in their memories forever.
A most enjoyable tour of home experience. A New Yorker born and raised, I'm inspired to re-think my home worthy decor and greatest living space. Togetherness, love, laughter builds a home, creating peaceful mindset with children who can explore.
I nominate Heather and Michael as Incredible Couple of the Year. They and their home are so attractive and stylish! It's great that they are able to make this work. I love the use of the small lamps, that they make room for what they really love and enjoy, like the espresso machine, candles and flowers. I am so impressed with their creativity and talent.. I grew up in NY and now live in Texas, so I really understand the contrast.
Wow. First off, the lady of the house is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. And this couple is so inspirational, to live in such a small space with such beauty and simplicity is what I needed to see right now. There is so much to love about this home, including the family that lives in it! This apartment is really cozy that's the benefit of small spaces and I love to see normal people here on Homeworthy and not only rich people. Cute Family.
Many people in other countries live in small spaces. In the smaller space, the children will learn to share with one another and communicate more than those children each having their own room. I’m sure they also read and are read to more than other children. This mom is fabulous. Supporting her husband. She can take the children to the park and library. They can do crafts. They don’t need bikes. They are working together to live with less/no debt. Great job
That’s bc they’re all similar in size and there are no garish neon colors, so everything goes well w/ the muted color palette of the room. Everything’s thoughtfully curated. The antique tablecloth used as a curtain. 🥰
My hubby also went back to school when he was 33! That is when the Lord blessed us with 3 little girls and we were in a two bedroom apartment as well but 900sq. feet. We actually put a climbing toy in the living room which really made my poor mother roll her eyes! Our daughter are now almost 32,30 and 27!!!! Now they all live in apartments (West Coast of Canada) and one has a little 4 year old!I have very fond memories of our days there! Blessings!
Fantastic 600sq. Ft. Apartment presentation , practical use of spaces. it’s nice to see young couples with growing family featuring the temporary venue they’re occupying in a realistic way in a setting that not just anyone would lived in. Hey to be able to live in a pre-war apartment in NYC, facing Central Park is a dream for any person who live in New York. It’s a Blessing.🙏
As a renter, I have been looking for a light solution for my hideous office lighting for years! I can’t wait to order from Tulip! Thankyou to this wonderfully creative couple and homeworthy.
Your apartment is really nice. Hiding the silverware that is a neat idea to save space. I love how that cabinet matches your furniture. I love how couples strive together to help one another achieve their goals.
Husband is in law school for three years and wife stays home to homeschool their 3 daughters. I desperately wish we could learn what they do for income! The space is sweet and lovely and I hope they cherish this special time in their lives as the beautiful family they are. I find it bold to have children in this economy so I applaud them for bucking the trend of 2 or less so many families feel forced to do nowadays. Though the space is small, I know it’s still gotta be pricey in NYC in this location.
This house tour is now one of my top favorite videos. What an utterly lovely family living in a brilliantly creative and yet thoughtfully curated space. I’d rather a 600 sq ft apartment in NYC than a 5K sq ft house in the suburbs. Their daughters could not be more fortunate than to live across from Central Park and experience all of the culture and wonderment of NYC. Bravo to this couple. (I recognize the Odin Parker NYC music box because I own it.) Thank you to this wonderful tour and for new ideas.
Most charming. What is invaluable is the instrumental role this apartment plays in providing the happiness for this charming family. The five of them will look back to the years spent in this cosy nest with much affection.
It should be a haven where its located. The park sold them but the “address” is status. We pay $2350 a month for a studio in the Bronx for our college son. I can only imagine this apartment has to be well over $5K+ a month. Nice video!
I’m new to this channel and as a person who loves PEACE and TRANQUILITY, the videos I’ve watched so far has definitely been so delightful 😊 while showcasing so much creativity and functionality while not neglecting what matters most, a place of serenity and comfort. ❤
What a wonderful family. You can really feel the love as they guide us through their home. Wonderful use of a small space! Vertical space is always where it's at with city living. Well done!!
I couldn't agree more about their comment that the small space translates to a closeness. We lived in a 2 bedroom apartment for the first 10 years of our marriage with our two children. We moved into a large historic 4 bedroom home when they were 8 and 12. Twenty seven years later it is that first little apartment that is often reminisced over. We love our house but that first cozy apartment, I believe, really made the foundation of who we became as a family and as people.
What a lovely and inspiring young couple. They’re making their life and their home work for them. They’ve infused their home with joy and with love and what is important in life. 🇨🇦
We always had small apartments when I grew up, and I have fond memories with my family during those times. I still prefer smaller homes under 1200 square feet. Great use of space!
before you toss those artworks, take a picture! you can create a scrapbook with fridge gallery images that will grow with time! My childrens Kindegarten teacher gave us a CD of our kids art from school. Not everything went home. Now its a treasure. I luv the home you've created. There is lots of living around the family table. My memories, my kids greatest times were spent at that table. Now my grand kids, growing up fast are doing the same things my kids did and its fun to see my daughter play the mumm and show the little ones how we bake, do holiday crafts and cooking. We even made crock-pot apple butter in the fall... here in MN. God bless your NewYork Nest. Thank you for sharing with the world.
Nice to watch a truly approachable interior of a family apartment. Not ostentatious, but thoughtfully well done. Form, function, family, and I believe faith have made 600 sq ft a truly warm and welcoming refuge.
I would put a cabinet between the top of the fridge to the ceiling…put the air fryer and cutting boards inside. I would add under cabinet lighting to address the kitchen lights. I would add additional shelving above the bookshelves. I think this is a lovely little apartment and such a sweet story - bravo 🙌
This family's home reminds me of the time my mom, stepdad, and brother came to live with me and my brand-new baby; organization made the experience nice and cozy.

Beautiful family living in a beautifully designed space .... I've always been drawn to smaller spaces because they just feel cozier and like Michael said, it helps connect the family. Heather has done a beautiful job using neutral colors .... everything flows so well!
i have 600 sq ft as one person in nyc and complain it's not enough space, esp as wfh. this was refreshing and reminds me i just need to be more creative. really sweet couple.
An engaging couple with three girly girls defines family. Books, love, simplicity, and contentment. Refreshing example in a world bent on consumption, image, and vanity.
I can relate so well with the mother having lived with my husband of 35 years and two children in spaces varying 400 to 12,000 square feet and the most intimate spaces are what initially influenced my interior design business. I will add that the house that we owned and I enjoyed designing the most was 1200 square feet.
I love Heather’s creativity and how she turned this small apartment into a warm, cozy and lovely family home. As many have said, the girls room is my favorite. By the way, the girl’s are so adorable.
Flash forward 10 years and they will probably think these years - in this cozy space - were the happiest of their young lives.
Yes. My girls still speak with fondness about the small 2 bedroom we shared in New York, and the coziness of the space.
That’s the first thing I thought. It’s often the little things that make life beautiful. Beautiful space and beautiful little family!

🤩👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤩❤️ you guys just proved my point…having children is no excuse for clutter and messy homes!!! Bravooooo!!!🥂🤗👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I love these smaller apartment in New York tours. Allison has built such as wonderful channel!
Very very nice. The peace and unity amongst the family members were very evident. Just lovely
Heather and Michael are fabulous. They have done such a beautiful job decorating their home. Their daughters are gems. Great tour!
As a renter, I have been looking for a light solution for my hideous office lighting for years! I can’t wait to order from Tulip! Thankyou to this wonderfully creative couple and homeworthy.
The vintage tablecloth hiding the closet...BRILLIANT!!!! xo
Genius use of space. Love how it’s decorated and how they’ve made the most of it. Very beautiful yet functional.
Your apartment is really nice. Hiding the silverware that is a neat idea to save space. I love how that cabinet matches your furniture. I love how couples strive together to help one another achieve their goals.
What a precious family! Their home is tiny but you see it is huge with love! So very intentional!💛
They've moved back to California since this video came out.
Oh really?! How did you learn this?
she said she's a "content creator"
They’re content creators… this is a piece done for exposure/collaboration.
I knew there was something weird about this video and highly unbelievable @@NStreit04
The girls room is simply the sweetest space ❤❤
Lovely couple with great ideas! But those gorgeous girls just stole the show🥰 Beautiful 🌟🌟🌟
What a wonderful family. You can really feel the love as they guide us through their home. Wonderful use of a small space! Vertical space is always where it's at with city living. Well done!!
that's the most beautiful 600 sqft space I've ever seen in my life!! How do they even make it look soo good?
They really made the best of a small space. It looks darling and they will remember this time for the rest of their lives.
You do with what you have. I remember my new family and we had packing boxes with plywood for a table.
In today’s society, having a roof is a blessing. It doesn’t matter how big it is.🙏🏿
I couldn't agree more about their comment that the small space translates to a closeness.
I love to see realistic apartment living like this. And it’s even more interesting when it’s a family navigating smaller spaces in a big city.
I love how you’ve shown that you can make any space homey and beautiful, and the size of the space is not important.
This family's home reminds me of the time my mom, stepdad, and brother came to live with me and my brand-new baby; organization made the experience nice and cozy.
Gorgeous home; beautiful style! I love smaller spaces. So cosy and happy. Feels full of love. This is my favourite home on your channel! ❤❤❤
Beautiful family, with great values and lots of love for each other. I love love love the family & their home. So very curated and functional.
This is so great seeing how this family manages to live in such a small space for 5 people. Such a lovely couple too. We need to see this more. I’m tired with seeing people who life in 3000 sqft alone
I love this! I agree with Heather - home is family! Michael resonated that, too.
I now know what happines is... God bless this family!
A beautiful home for a beautiful family-Love is everywhere! GOD bless you all❤
An engaging couple with three girly girls defines family. Books, love, simplicity, and contentment. Refreshing example in a world bent on consumption, image, and vanity.
Favourite episode ever- visually and spiritually. I sense the Lord's love in this house ❤
Absolutely!! I am glad someone else saw it too!
What a lovely family…….both beautiful…………both so joyful………honestly, it brought tears to my eyes, especially the three little beds in a row…….
I am always most inspired by the smaller apartments and the creative and beautiful solutions people find.
Love a city family! Your children will have the benefit of knowing so many cultures! ❤
I can relate so well with the mother having lived with my husband of 35 years and two children in spaces varying 400 to 12,000 square feet and the most intimate spaces are what initially influenced my interior design business. I will add that the house that we owned and I enjoyed designing the most was 1200 square feet.
Love how you hung the dollies on the rail in the kids room - brilliant! Lovely home.
Love all of this! The Protocol’s Son is so special. Love this beautiful family and their story… My favorite Home Worthy so far!💗
Love all the ideas for storage and the mix of style and functionality. What a sweet family!
sooo good! they are so creative and love how they styled their home. Way better to watch than the huge mansions!
Watching this was so heartwarming and feel-good for me! Thank you for sharing your home and family with me
I love Heather’s creativity and how she turned this small apartment into a warm, cozy and lovely family home. As many have said, the girls room is my favorite. By the way, the girl’s are so adorable.
I would have loved to see their pantry/food storage. Also, I loved to see what their bathroom looks like.
