  • Welcome to my first video, a walking tour of the Walterclough Valley (Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK) and its surrounding areas, overlaid with historic photos. Filmed on Saturday 20th May 2023, early evening.
Genuinely only crossed paths with a handful of folk throughout the whole near-six-mile walk!
I have published this walk on OS Maps here (inc' the points of interest we're covering here): explore.osmaps.com/route/1539...

This is a great Video. Thank you for complimenting Halifax Civic Trust on the information board on Dark Lane. It means a lot to our volunteers that our fund-raising and work to promote the route is appreciated. It was very enjoyable on a dark winters evening to enjoy your walk in the middle of May and how beautiful the area is. Thank you.

I've just seen this!!! I'm so glad you did it! Oh god, 7.5 miles is a hell of a trek, haha! I've got lost a fair few times in those valleys, ending up in fields of cows or on some random back lane! Bet you were glad of that pint at the end, haha! Hope to see you and the fam' again soon, and sending lots of love to you all. Thanks Ben - I'm off to check out your UA-cam channel now.

Very interesting, but would be much better without the annoying and repetitive background "music".
