    Good video. This is proof you don't need to have a professional video set-up in a studio with expensive video equipment and heavily scripted/edited videos. You got my interest...you showed the product...demonstrated it and most importantly, you got to the point without talking too much. Great job! Now I'm gonna look at buying one of these steamers for myself. I subscribed.

    steam is a great tool, I even found a small unit in eBay for 30 bucks, it cleaned out my Mazda b2300 with it, and was very impressed. the only thing I did different was I sprayed simple green on beforehand and that made a huge difference. Plus it leaves a nice scent in the finished product.

    So one thing I'd like to note, steam pushes it does not evaporate contaminants, as you push away dirt be mindful of where it's going off to and clean that area. Like in the gear select as you push the dirt off of it, it's running behind the plastics and into things. So us a towel behind it or don't use it in areas you don't want to push dirt further into

  • @pauljs75
    @pauljs75 7 років тому

    I've got one of those, good on most stuff. Still it has a wetter steam than some more expensive models, so there is some limit to where you can use it. (Mostly stuff that isn't bothered by water too much. And some things can't be dried that easily, so be aware of that too.) Also the thing is loud as hell. Should be wearing ear-plugs when using it. And some decent rubber gloves also helps to work more quickly, as hot steam isn't exactly pleasant to get burned by.

    Hi.
    What is your by opinion better?
    To clean first with steam plastics, dashboard, steering wheel, etc.. the dust throw away from the surface and then use a vacuum to clean remaining dust?
    Or vacuum first and then steam?

    • @CaptainOverLoad
      @CaptainOverLoad 7 років тому +6

      brandon ho naw man all that is attached to that is the shifter cable that runs to the transmission. It's made out of metal and is like a really big break line thats on a mountain bike. They are really strong. There is part of the shifter cable is under the hood or under the car depending on the transmission and is exposed to the elements all the time. Its built to last.A little steam will not make a dent in it. Be careful for electrical stuff though. Water build up can corrode the copper, and terminations.

    OMG, so I am today old (and lemme tell ya, that's pretty old already) when I found out that the discoloration that appears exactly like what one would assume to be the flaking of the top layer/coat of one's steering wheel. My jar, quite literally, dropped open when this young man steam cleaned that steering wheel to near new. I could've sworn up and down, I mean would have bet my life on it, that the steering wheel was just not made to hold up for the life of the car. Not because after nearly 150 years of vehicle manufacturing that auto-makers have yet to figure that out or that they didn't care as it wasn't on the top of their to-do list. On the contrary, I had unfairly given them less credit than they deserved or the benefit of doubt, I thought they purposely meant for it to show wear n tear prematurely, so the consumer had yet another box to tick when listing off the reasons of why they need a newer vehicle, even though the one they have is still putt-putting along. Welp, ya learn something new everyday, or hopefully ya do. Thanks guy!

      Matt Hannel It’s water vapor and different nozzles allow certain amounts of only vapor out. It nearly dries the minute it leaves the nozzle. Us detailers use it nonstop. It’s safe with the right tip, bro tip if you wrap he nozzle with a microfiber towel you can get in tighter spaces without the vapor splatter.

      If used very lightly just to help release dirt from it it is not damaging. You have to condition it right away though. When I'm cleaning leather I don't use my steamer though.

      Look, feel, smell... And no leather is extremely common nowadays. There was plenty of vinyl in the 60s and 70s.

      You can absolutely steam leather just has to be moderate but I work for a seating manufacturer and steam is one of the things we use on brand new leather....
