Nice one!! I’m sure it’s a great bike but I just can’t warm to it - happy to stick with my 1250 GSA with all the bits you guys stuck on it for me - I’ve got a funny feeling the new GSA will be a bit more of tractor - looking forward to seeing it. Also will be interested what you guys do with the GS1300 👍

I callled them cast in the video but they’re not. They’re forged. I don’t know why I said this.

Except for the dual exhausts and the mag wheels that's exactly the 1300 I'd like, as I'm short I would opt for the automatic lowering below 50 km/h as well.

Can't wait to see how you'll "fix" the sound of it.
Tried one, handling is superb (it feels a lot lighter) but I find the sound so much worst than on my 1250 😕 (lost the grunt)
Give it a few months and the guys at Akra and Jekill will have some fruity options available for us

We've been conversing for the past few weeks with Jekill & Hyde regarding the new exhaust for it. I don't know when but I'd guess early Spring '24

@abikething hey, now that you’ve had the bike a bit, how do you find the enduro wheels vs spoked? Do you miss the spoked wheels? I’m having a hard time between the gold wheels and the forged enduro. How are road manners vs spoked on say bumpy roads or smooth roads?
Still not ridden it yet. Joys of being busy and the bike is being continuously stripped apart to help development for new parts

Do you think you can think of anything creative to come up with the light plugs where the luggage connects with? Their cases aren't very good.
Congratulations, hope you enjoy. Beast isn't the word that comes to mind. I've ridden the 1300 and its not for me. So many people (specially BMW) herald the new 1300 as having more power, torque, and improved handling which the 1250 wasn't lacking anyway (In my on road riding) Sure, its lighter and slimmer so that will please some. Its going to be interesting next year to read reviews!
Fair enough!, I still haven’t had it out on the road yet so the jury is still out. Tom said it caught him off guard on acceleration the day we filmed this video.

Haha! you'd hate the sound of my Ducati 996 then. That literally is the actual sound of a bag of spanners but somehow it sounds beautiful. For sure though, definite room for the aftermarket exhaust companies to produce some fruity new pipes.
I agree the engine sound is awful the bike looks small for you Steve one single seat but !! The worst thing for me is the elimination of the rear brake light , simply after spending a boat load of money having to change those multifunction indicators

My mistake, I said Cast in the video but these are the Forged Enduro Wheels
Best colour scheme for sure, but a GS without spoked wheels is just not right to me.

Is this is a standard handlebar?
I ordered mine GS which will be delivered in march but can’t make a decision which handlebar I should take. I was riding a new GS for 2 hours and I feel that I was leaned a bit more forward compared to the old GS.
I wasnt aware there was a handlebar option?

Has ANYONE noticed how much lower the exhaust is? For those few adventurers that do stream crossings…..this is not a good thing. My 1250 looks so much better.

I do. For starters the bike was not insured the day I collected it but it's insured in my possession on the back of my trailer under my business insurance. Good enough reason?
22+grand for a fully specked up version is far to rich for me, it might be good but not that good.

Hey we're all entitled to our opinion but based on your opinion it tells me you haven't seen one up close to touch and feel have you? It is put together so nicely and the materials used are the most premium I have seen used on a motorbike.
They ruined the Iconic GS look. If I were in the market, I'd go buy a left over 1250 and be much happier.
That’s exactly what I did. Absolutely love my 1250, best bike I’ve ever owned. I’m quite certain the 1300 is a tremendous motorcycle. My heart is with the 1250.

@@timparish172 Looks of a bike are a personal choice. The 1300 is plain Jain and ordinary to me, very dissimilar to the 1250.
