As a father, the part where Andy was explaining the reality of modern kids having phones in their bedroom (1:08:30) trying to solve their peers deepest problems and the days past of kids walking out their door to find a parent to discuss problems had me so choked up.
John Mark I am so grateful for this conversation. It is a convergence of two worlds very dear to my heart-Practicing the Way and Praxis. What you two shared here is so deeply important to be heard and shared. Thank you! 🙌
I truly see you two and Tyler as my fellow disciples. You speak what God speaks to me. Thank you for putting your conversations out there. I long for this kind of community to gather around a hearth and talk about the heart of Jesus. Please pray for the fulfillment of this desire.❤🙏🌿
Loved this conversation, especially the second half. It's crucial to reflect on how we want to navigate the prevailing culture, the psychological dictatorship of algorithms, and social constructs that seem bent on emptying the spirit and soul.
I was not expecting to feel so drawn to this conversation, however we know God leads us to more knowledge and truth in His way❤🙏 Praise God for conversations like these. First, and it's almost laughable because I have envied a monk type living in the past ((however your conclusions around this absolutely make sense)). Yet, I would love to be apart of a community with a Rule of Life like this.. A lot of the practices Andy shared I feel like God has already called me to in my own life. However to be a part of a group like this.. that is a room full of wisdom to be gleaned from, from those who also are intentional in deepening discipleship with Christ, sounds wonderful. The social media interlude of the conversation is so compelling as well. Praying for You and Andy, and please let me know if there are any openings Lol🌟🕊 God bless you and keep sharing the light!
He has a following, to whom and for whom he has certain responsibilities. He is owning that fact. But Heaven Forbid that somebody ever gets any more attention or recognition than somebody else thinks they deserve! No greater scandal on all the SBM!!!

This is such a helpful and transformative conversation. Thank you.
52:53 this is a great explanation for that 'the eye is the lamp of the body' line in the Sermon on the Mount
Yay! So grateful to see this pop up!!!
Thank you!!!
Praise God
A luminary? A legend in his own mind? Does he think he is a celeb? Ugh.
