Hi Coen, first of all, excellent video! Thank you for sharing. I would like to ask you a question about Hammerheads Weights curves, you talk about the relationship with the Strike Ratio. You have weighted the hammers together with the shanks, and then you created a smoothed curve using the SW, not the HW curves that you shown early in the video. Where do you use the HW curves? or it is ok to weight directly Hammerhead + Shank and use the SW curves? Thanks a lot!
Yeah that could be a bit confusing. I sometimes say hammerweight but I always calculate and measure Strike Weight. The Strike weight is hammerweight + 1.9 gram (shank)
Excellent work. I can see that complexity is something that does not worry you. I'm not a technician, but can I respectfully ask where the weight of raising the damper on each key is taken into consideration. Thank you.
I take notice that there is extra weight involved by the dampers. I can calibrate the weight of the dampers but I don't do it often because the extra damper weight has never been problematic.

I use the PTDAE (Precision Touch Design Academy Europe) excel sheet in this video. You can use it when being a member. But with a bit of excel knowledge you can make it yourself. The formulas and weight tables are out there. Just combine them.

The one that comes with it. Pretty fast. In 30 minutes it's hard.
Hi Coen, beautiful presentation. It was so good i was able to follow along without understanding your language. LOL. At 29:30 is where you inadvertently ruin inertia smoothness. I bet i could have used just 3 weights were you used 4. The use of the fourth weight was because you are too far back in the key. My system is much much simpler and more accurate.
The two leads in the key where the original leads. I choose to keep them this time. The reason I use two leads in this position is: I want to mirror the lead from an imaginary line right between the front and the balance pin. This way the lead builds gradually from the bass to the treble. The center of gravity is in the same place with every key. Which in my opinion results in a very constant inertia I understand that you think otherwise about this and I will take a look into your thoughts and try them out.
You cannot assume inertia is even when taking indirect measurements.

Amazing video, but now who is paying for all that? I wouldn't. There are simpler reversible methods to effectively control static touchweight and inertia.
