I wanted to update something from the video. I said towards the end that I wanted to see Creative come out with a more Pro-Audio type of amp in the future. I didn't realize that the X5 is what I am referring to. Its got Balanced out and seems to provide more power output as well. I'm not saying Ill review one soon, but I am intrigued to anyone that has heard the X5, or owns it, what your experience is?
I've had an X3 for a number of years. I needed a way to connect an Onkyo amp to a new PC, which didn't have Optical Out. The X3 has been solid, and sounds pretty good with entry-level HiFi equipment. I imagine the X5 would sound pretty similar - but the G8 is a better match if you have a separate AMP
I use mine with the Orchestra lite and a Switch Lite for Dark Souls and it's a lot better sounding than the G6, it's made for iems👍i have the X1 G3 G6 and GC7!
I didn't, but I also have a 3rd party cable I use for it. I'll just make the assumption that you are using a 3.5 output jack on the 560S since the G8 doesn't support 6.3.
i have a dt990 pro headphone connected to the g8 and the audio randomly turns off causing me to ungplug and replug everything to essentially turn it back on, anyone else having this problem and could help me?
@@trembledust6819 yes, that is because I had my 2.1 speaker system hooked up to it. I believe it supports 5.1 and 7.1 as long as you can use a 3.5 or Optical jack to connect
I have a g6, but I don't use it. I use a fiio k11 for my ps5, it just sounds better than the g6...but no mic support which is fine by me. Ps5 controller has a built in mic if I need it.😊

@@colinfindlay4790 I'd love to see...an X8 or X9 that maybe creeps closer to a $500 price point to see what they can do. I'm probably minority on that
X5 is crap. Like really-really bad. It has severe powering issues.

was wondering did you have any problems with the sennheiser hd560s cable being the cable is a bit large and the g8 is slanted a bit?

Hey sorry to hear about that. Have you reached out to any forums or creative support? Sounds like a power issue.
Thanks for vid. Does the unit support 5.1 / 7.1 speaker set ups? I noticed under speaker options only mono and bookshelf was shown.

@@Skeeb23 Thank you.
would be a cool comparison vs the X5!

Thank you, Ryan!
