I have been using your rig models for over a year now and I can confirm that no other plugins come close for the 80s tones. Can't wait to possibly try these out!
I remember back in the day downloading presets for my line 6 pod and was thinking I was gonna get shit that sounded like this lol. Sadly mistaken. This is what I really wanted. You're the man.
Finally someone that remembers how our music sounded and why we picked up the guitar to begin with - the tones are unreal. Wish they would work on a Helix Floor LT. simply an amazing page.
You absolutely made the funniest tones to play, having a freaking blast . Thank you. lol funnest tones Not funniest . There awesome, can’t wait for vol 2
Picking up the pack for myself and one for my son as we create together in different states. Pretty stoked about this. Your the best Mike! I love this channel and its been awesome to watch it grow. Keep at it my man. Much love. Cheers.
S*hit, I want to try them out! Finally again someone with good ears that make usable presets in THU! Hahaha. Can wait to try them and also waiting for moreeee!!
3:20 I laughed because at first I thought you were gonna play Demon Alcohol but it was just Lay Your Hands lol, then in the next few you starting playing Zakk riffs.
I always loved that kee marcello lead tone. I remember reading that kee marcello didn't like how the chorus effect was put on his leads by the producer . Think it sounds solid as fuck. It's different. Fat and shimmery. Very signature sounding.
Well I did it, I grew a set and purchased this for iOS!! Nice job, I did only see just a few patches that used the micro pitch, is this correct? I’m loving it. Thanx Michael
Awesome! Thanks and congrats! Yes, I only used the Micropitch where it was applicable. But feel free to add it on any or all of the patches and re-save them. It's a great sound!
Michael Nielsen, from your video, my understanding was that if I purchased "BHS Iconic 1 - Hair Metal", that it came with TH-U Essentials, which would be enough for me to play the presets. I just purchased "BHS Iconic 1 - Hair Metal" and downloaded the file named "BHS+Iconic+1+-+Hair+Metal.riglib" but there was no additional download of anything to do with TH-U essentials. The directions for installation are: 1) Make sure to have TH-U installed on your system. 2) Download the Rig Library file here (link was given) 3) Open TH-U (either plug-in or standalone). 4) Drag the library file into the TH-U window. You will be asked for the authorization. and 5) Enter the redeem code you received when purchased. So now I have the riglib file but no TH-U essentials and no way to play it. While I know you are not their support, can you give me any guidance? I was hoping this would be my introduction into TH-U and if I enjoyed the product that I would continue my adventure into other Overloud products but not sure I'm getting off to a good start. Thanks for any guidance or recommendations.
Ok, I think I have figured out my issue. I found the bits for TH-U Essentials, downloaded them and installed them. I'm up and running now, Yay!!! So I wouldn't say that TH-U Essentials comes with "BHS Iconic 1 - Hair Metal", it has to be download and installed separately. Cheers.
It's a bargin! 50$ for all of that sounds great. If only I knew hot to hoock up my guitar to my PC. :( Micheal, could you do some basic tutorial how to hoock up guitar to PC?
Is it also possible to ise it on an ipad on ios?? And can i get all these sounds by gettin your kemper profiles too? I am thinking about one of those options 🙏
How this this pack relate to the previous BHS packs that contained what appear to be the same patches? Are these the same patches (Zakk, Ratt patches for example) or are they reworked versions?
Every preset is new from scratch. If there’s a Zakk patch from the Metaltronix pack, this is made from JCM800 and Silver Jubilee. Zakk used all of these at one time or another and it’s a different color from that era.
I swear TH-U's website and/or prerequisites are so hard to understand. Is this a stand alone fully functional plugin or presets for something else I 'd need to use them? Are they editable? Not that they don't sound amazing out of the box.
Hi. Sorry if there’s any confusion. I know what you mean and tried to make it as clear as possible, but it’s a mouthful. When you buy this pack you get; -THU essentials (Thu plugin) -Iconic v1 rigs (which are the amp captures for thu) -Iconic v1 presets which are presets inside THU. They’re fully editable. You can swap out amp rigs (similar to how a Kemper profile works), change FX. Copy FX, change EQ, tweak the amp.
They sound great! But if any one can clarify, you don’t need to get the full (currently $149) version of TH-U to run this? You can just by the Iconic 1 pack for its current price ($29) and I will be able to jump right in and play?
You do not need any version of THU. When you guy Iconic Tones, it comes with a THU Essentials, which is essentially the core version of THU. These sounds will load right up!
@@BigHairyGuitars got and it having fun but the main issue I am facing is some presets not working. I’m also hearing a sorta digital sound but that probably is just because of my interface or headphones. Anyway you can steer me in the right direction of who I can talk to for help?
@@THEROCKLORD1 You'd have to go through overloud's support email on their site. I'm not sure about presets not working. There are a handful of presets that are built around the full THU set, but they should be labeled at the end, and are basically other takes on the basic presets, but I used the extended FX. I'm not sure what Digital sound you mean, but a couple of the Rockman based sounds are sensitive to input, if you hit them too hard, they'll distort in a digital kind of way, if you're experiencing this, either turn down the guitar input, or turn down the gain on the rig, and it should clear right up and sound back to the tone that was intended.
@@BigHairyGuitars I’ll do that at some point thank you. Fortunately I managed to fix some of the issues just by tweaking the HZ in the audio settings. Seems like some of the presets with certain eq settings (Feelgood, Bad Name Lead, and Love Bites for example) that didn’t like the HZ setting I had but bring it up to 2400 HZ seemed to fix a bunch of them and fixed that sound I was talking about. Can’t really explain what that sound was but can confirm whatever it was is fixed and the working presets sound fantastic! Still a few that aren’t working thx to this weird EQ/ HZ problem but I’m gonna work it out, it’s probably just some more things i need to tweak or my interface. Appreciate the help man and despite the small issues I’ve been having, still love this pack and gonna try some more TH-U stuff in the future. Thanks for the help!

Instant purchase for me. BHS is the best! Thank you! maybe some Great White, Cinderella, Firehouse and Giant in the next release
That Miracle Man sounds spot...SPOT on. I just dropped a chunk on some waves plugins. Damn you Nielsen. damn you.
I hope the "Vol. 1" leads to a "Vol. 2" later.
Just bought it sounds great! Overloud THU is still the best and I’m glad it’s still going strong
Rig Player rules, especially for 80s guitar sounds. These Iconic tones are amazing.
I remember back in the day downloading presets for my line 6 pod and was thinking I was gonna get shit that sounded like this lol. Sadly mistaken. This is what I really wanted. You're the man.
These are sick. Thanks for the Kee Marcello throwback. That record is close to perfect for tones and solo note choice.
So cool!!! Thank you for this! I have the Kemper profiles already, but I LOVE Overloud thanks to you and will buy this library.
Finally someone that remembers how our music sounded and why we picked up the guitar to begin with - the tones are unreal. Wish they would work on a Helix Floor LT. simply an amazing page.

These sound incredible, Michael. I'm loving those Sykes tones.

Sold my Kemper coz TH U is better!thank you Mike for creating these specialized awesome Rig tones
True, Michael’s presets are the only good ones on the Kemper and he replicates them on the TH-U.
Here's a tip: In the master settings turn up the high end completely to nail that Lay it down tone
Nice! If I could have this in my Fractal AX8 I would be set for life!! This may be my favorite video you have made. The Vito tones!
Nice to see some Vito presets.... The Def Lep stuff sounds spot on too.
Awesome pack so many iconic tones spot on nice to see some Kee Marcelo tones Zakk and the ultimate chugga chugga riff
S*hit, I want to try them out! Finally again someone with good ears that make usable presets in THU! Hahaha. Can wait to try them and also waiting for moreeee!!

OMG! Now I can't un-hear that!!!! 100%
Must. Get. Wow. Just wow. Tuns of fun right here. Always loves THU.
Amazing job as always!! Love your content and I never miss a video. Will be getting this pack for sure!!
Wow Killer tones!! You nailed them!!
Whelp, looks like I’m going down a THU rabbit hole now. Wheeee!
Amazing tones as always!
Sounds awesome! Riff to “Wait” by White Lion is so baller.
Michael; Holy Smokin’ Crackpipes!!! - Some killer tones there!!! Impressive!!!
very impressive !! Definitely best way to get that Elusive Mike Morin preamp sound ..... since no one is letting those go ....ever : (
I will be trying these out in my studio tomorrow. Grabbed the iOS version as well. Cheers.
The jcm800 is STILL the SOUND!!
Pretty much an instant buy
great sounds! great choice of presets, too.
I definitely need an HH superstrat added to my collection.
Hair Metal!...of course!...and Dude!...Riff Marathon!!!

Dude that was awesome 👍
Rather likeable! Very nice. Take care all.
Bought, done.
Just the Sykes tones make it worthy! So excited, man! Will this follow with a Kemper pack?
Well I did it, I grew a set and purchased this for iOS!! Nice job, I did only see just a few patches that used the micro pitch, is this correct? I’m loving it. Thanx Michael
Awesome! Thanks and congrats! Yes, I only used the Micropitch where it was applicable. But feel free to add it on any or all of the patches and re-save them. It's a great sound!
Thanks Michael for responding, I will play much more now, just amazing sound. 🤓👍
I buy it right now!!! I will love it!!🤟

You're going to need to squeeze a little more out of those harmonics to get a realistic Vito Bratta!!
Love the 10 minutes of presets but you could have just played Lay it Down and collected credit card deets.
God Dammmm what a rush!!! 🤘 🤘 🤘
It's a bargin! 50$ for all of that sounds great.
If only I knew hot to hoock up my guitar to my PC. :(
Micheal, could you do some basic tutorial how to hoock up guitar to PC?
There's different ways of going about it, but what you're looking for is a USB audio interface with at least one instrument input.
Yep. Will do
Based on this I am waiting here for a Vol2 Thrash Metal and Vol3 Post Punk :P
YES!
Is it also possible to ise it on an ipad on ios?? And can i get all these sounds by gettin your kemper profiles too? I am thinking about one of those options 🙏
You da man
Now I’m 100% on my captures on ToneX but why not using Thu effects :)
Is there a demo version ?
Amazing!!!!
Where was this when I was 17?!

😫 i thought it is a real stack
Do you have something similar in Helix ?
No sorry. I wish I had more time to program for all of the platforms. If I could charge $1500 per pack, I could totally do that full time 🤣😂
I had chronic guitar stank face the whole way through.
Sounds great!
I’m glad you can do this on an iPad because I’m probably the last person on Earth 🌍 that doesn’t have a capable computer or laptop 💻 haha
I’ve been an Amplitube guy for so long, can you stop making me spend money on more plugins
