      tbh its so true. Tito is not a devastating puncher or a great striker by miles. Imagine if that was any other over the hill fighter? Rampage, Wanderlei, Cro Cop, or Fedor

    At the very least he needed a couple of tune up fights against menopausal women. Chuck was simply too old, too shot, and tito making a big deal over this win is pathetic. In their primes, Chuck KO's Tito 10 out of 10 times.

    • @backbone93
      @backbone93 5 років тому +16

      I agree totally, but we have to look at it from both sides( as much as i hate tito and love chuck)
      Seems like nowadays life is more than a marathon than a sprint...looks like tito won the marathon of life, but chuck won the sprint of life, i mean if u are stronger if u are young, great! but is it really worth it, to sacrifise your 40s+ for beeing the strongest young guy? Im not sure anymore.... thats what i am thinking about since last december, since i torn my acl and my meniscus in my right knee... was overtraining so hard to become a proffessional fighter, next to working, now my leg is fucked up so bad that i cant train, neither work in my old job anymore... maybe i won the sprint, but the marathon goes to someone else now...
      Taking it easy and not going to the limit might be the better choice this days, where we humans dont have to fight to the death anymore, earlier few 100 years ago, fighting to the end was EVERYTHING, thats what a warrior is, thats what is in our dna, our nature.
      I understand that chuck wanted to try it again, because his heart is still beating... because he IS a warrior, what else he gonna do....
      I respect him truely for that, unfortunately in this modern time the "sprints" in life u did when u were young, doesnt count(because we dont kill our opponents anymore) it counts if u are still running when u are old...
      Have a nice run!

    I believe he believed he could still fight. He felt good and was slightly delusional about his ability to fight like you used to. I also believe his trainers couldn't bare to tell him he couldn't fight because he's a legend im many eyes. They didn't want to discourage him or take away his confidence in himself so they just trained him and waited for the results.
    It's obvious in this post fight conference that he's having a hard time dealing with getting old, that's just my opinion though. Midlife crisis maybe.
    Nothing wrong with him training that's a good thing try to keep himself in shape and sharp and training others would be very good and could be lucrative for him if he goes that route. He does have a lot of experience and was a champion as well so I'm sure he could do well in that regard.

      Shawn Being a man a year older than Chuck, from my experience there are days when you feel twenty again although fewer and many others where you definitely feel your age. I think being a proud champion and at one time amongst the great strikers of all time has blinded him to how far his skills had eroded. Hopefully he was paid well and he can walk away without causing himself or his legacy any further damage. I fully agree with your comments that he was delusional to the fact that he had serious decline in his skill set .

      Joe Baron tito is 43 so ppl saying chuck is too old for tito then the same argument sould be said back then which would be that tito was too green for an older more experienced chuck. tito won just like chuck won b4. it happens.

      @@steerwheelholder6060 I meant it in no disrespect. Tito still looked sharp enough to be in there at 43. Lidl didn't. Everyone knows fighters ability gradually drops after after the mid 30's. The reflexes, timing, and speed all deteriorate first, with power going last. At 48, Lidl is clearly well into his descendantcy. All I'm saying is, there's a point where it becomes dangerous to let people to continue at the elite level when it's clear they are no longer at that level due to their age.

Just look at his god damn feet! He´s moving the wrong foot all the time, horrible balance. Prime Chuck had angles man, he could get in there and land those bombs, but this fight he looked like his body wasn´t responding anymore. His jabs were slow af and he was reaching with his upper body instead of taking quick steps, that says to me that he doesn´t have that coordination anymore. Plus his chin is fuuuuuuccckiiing destroyed from all the wars he´s had. If you just knew how many times that Chuck in their early years have beated Tito up in training, primary sparring... The very first sparring sessions they had, Tito got caught by single punches he didn't see, and knocked down for at least 10 times, but to Tito's defence he were able to complete all those sessions.
      But with time Tito got more and more experience, and learned to avoid/defend Chuck's powerful single punches, but that did everything much worse for Tito, cause Chuck just threw aggressive and constant combinations instead, and NOW Tito couldn't complete sparring sessions... Every single time Chuck had him trapped, Tito either asked for a break, taking a knee, or finding an excuse about injuries 🤕
