Heya thanks so much for posting this a friend asked me if he was going crazy wondering if the person named the Wanderer was me... I looked and can verify yes indeed about 3:40 the Survivor named The Wanderer is me Clocan~ The saying I left at the end is... "Some people bring *light* to the world by simply being in it"~ Peace my friend and I hope life has been treating you kindly and may peace and healthiness be with you and yours. 1
Bruh....one time I was playing scorched earth dieing of thirst Then one dude swooped me up with an Argy and dropped me into a lake near his bass We soon became the alpha duo
@@toddsilverwolfe bro me too. I did play on a hardcore pvpve server and it was fun just being a sneaky Dino tamer, who had a secret sneaky ass base with like 12 different sneaky routes home complete with traps. And I’d just trade amongst other tribes, and if they get hostile I’d give em the ole slip. Worked well until a new alpha tribe raided the server and wiped everything. Lucky bastards caught me right as I was beginning my returning to base with 4 fully fully loaded argies. I was so sad.
I remember I ran into a squad from the alpha tribe when I first started. I froze and stared at then as they analyzed me and my base before flying away on their argies (there was 5 of them) later that day to of then returned with wyverns and questioned me about my experience and intentions on the server until they pretty much said "we're in a war and need men, join us or be caught in the crossfire." I really didn't have a choice so I agreed and after joining they stripped my base gave me a kit a gun, and a pickaxe and sent me off to mine. For like 2 weeks I was essentially a metal runner and loot donkey until I earned the leader's respect and got better guns and an argy and rex to raise. I was still tasked with running metal but I also got to join in patrols and raiding the enemy's base on another server. After that I eventually left the tribe and became a wanderer since I didn't like taking orders and was capable to defend myself and not get drafted into a random war I wanted no part of. I just travelled around helping noobs and generally avoided making enemies and did favors for the alpha of whatever server I joined to stay off their radar and that pretty much my first ark experience
First off the game is pvp his list of type of survivor makes no sense I’ve played this game religiously and in no server have I ever found a Chill alpha ur best bet if u get that close to one is to bola and club him because as soon as u turn ur back
I've liter had people that would jump.on the game just to see if me or other players got offline just to t Raid them, literally any other time they aren't on
You forgot the Artisan. These master architects have one goal and that's to build amazing structures. You might be thinking PVP is no place for such a player but you would be wrong. The admiration, and appreciation they acquire through their craft can often result in many tribes offering their protective services. The best way to survive an encounter with these players is to leave them alone. If you destroy their structure, you will have several tribes after your head.
I think i fit that group, I'm the trading post on my PVP official server. I have the protection from the alpha on thr server because I help with new players get settle in and help with building all sort of dino traps around the map. Also the breeder of the map too so if tribes are at war they get their hawk supplies from the trading post.
You’ve also got the players that used to play before tek was a thing and they are completely inept at modern ark pvp because they can’t keep up with all the new metas. All they know is to build a base in a flat area and cover it in Dino gates and small turret towers, they also constantly complain about how you used to be able to increase speed on flyers and how they miss how simple the game used to be.
Even before tech you could make Ark complicated. There is a way to make a Dimorphidon turret tower using a animal (usually a penguin) as the spotter in it. for those that don't know the hint is Dimorphidon's can fly through ladders and creatures can spot through gravestones. course I havn't played since sometime in 2019 so this may be invalid now.
Exactly Torrin lol, I've been playing for five years and I miss the flyer speed. Ark really took away the best parts. I remember when I just started the game, and I was beyond excited. It has so many cool aspects to it. I died so much in the beginning and now I only die if I want myself to die haha. I honestly can't believe this game is five years old now.
I’m a mixture of the cautious and a special category I like to call... The obsessor. Basically it’s a guy who joins a server with one single thing on their agenda. It’s always very specific, be it a tame, a tribe, a lifestyle, for me, it’s wandering the deserts on the back of a maxed out rock golem. For the aesthetic.
Bro I take that route sometimes to. But mostly I'm just the guy who logs on to the server grinds resources for half-an-hour, grinds levels for half an hour and then realizes, I don't have enough. And grinds each for another hour. And then I go and build a base in some secluded little spot in the Redwoods or whatever Forest type biome is on the map and then tame a crap ton of really OP dinosaurs and get them to lvl 235 or higher before I do any conquering.
The Loner/Lone Wolf: These players want nothing to do with other players. Usually this is brought upon by being constantly harassed by the more aggressive or asshole players and so will usually view every player as just another person who solely wants to ruin their day. For the most part, you won't encounter these players because they normally tend to stick to private servers, but in the chance you do encounter one; know that they probably aren't going to want to interact with you. Loners tend to shy away from other players and try to stay as off the radar for everyone else as much as possible. To them, drawing someone's attention to themselves means potentially losing everything. There can be a few different types of Loners: The Meek - These are Lone players who have grown to not trust anyone to the point that the moment they even see another player, they are already running and hiding. They are all about being as unnoticed by anyone and everyone as physically possible. The Nomadic - Similar to the Wanderers, these players are usually just passing through They may offer some loot/resources or even tips and other words of wisdom...usually towards newer players. They've been in the noob before and know that it is rough in a new server. They can sometimes give noobs a much needed push in the right direction on getting started with the game. They will generally try to avoid fighting for the most part and will mainly try to negotiate their ways out of any situation...and will only result to fighting when push comes to shove and their back's to the wall. The Hermits - Similar to Nomadic Loners in personality, Hermits tend to stay locked away in their bases waiting for whatever threats are around to just leave. But they are not above sharing their wisdom of ARK to non-hostile players in need of such knowledge. In return for not attacking them, they will often point you in the right direction of whatever it is you happen to be looking for, be it a certain material, creature, or location. The Scorned - These lone players have everything to gain and also everything to lose. These players see every person as a hostile threat, be them a noob or not and will defend everything they have with their life. Similar to the Reckless players they will aggressively attack any player that gets to close to them if they think they can beat them. Even if you have no hostile intentions towards them, if you get too close, they will not hesitate to attack. There is no negotiating with these players. Molded by constant harassment of other players, to the Scorned, there is no such thing as trust in the world of ARK. Your only options if you happen to set them off is to retreat and leave them be....or prove them right about the world.
I fucking hate the kids that play ark. They think they can flex cause of a popular base location, well defended base, and loads of turrets. As a 3 year running player I’ve only been in 17 tribes most I got along with others I leave them raid. The way I play ark is by only encountering players by trading that’s it. I’ll give advice to players but anything else I will not. Another flex was the fiber craft servers. You are not the best player cause of that, lemme tell you I’ve played a couple of them I find it easier but less challenging cause everyone has easy access to tek and better stats. In official or fairly boosted dedicated severs I can call you a good player cause the grind and experience you is what increases your skill at the game. I typed this whole thing for nothing but if you can relate to any of this you are a true player. Add me on Xbox Sirpopsmoke
Im a mix of the meek and nomadic. Ill try to help new people but I hate any other interactions. I've played for around 2 years but I've been in 1 tribe with people I don't know personally... yea I've raided only one person I have been afraid ever since.
It sucks that a majority of these are essentially "they will kill you with no remorse" and really shows that a lot of servers have rude people on them except for the choice few angelic people
@@draak4066 level 600 gigas.... hmmmmm. Ngl I doubt that. No no I think you’re lying. Unless your playing modded but then giving out Dino’s is pointless lol
@@micxed786 nope it was on ps four some i got from allies and then leveled them up and gave em i did not got all of em alone that would be a lie but no i had many allies who game me gigas i leveled them up (runing gigas all the time and leveling them up so fuckin fast) so yes its true
The zookeeper: tames tons of creatures for no reason. Like the alpha deppending on what they started as either they are a murderous force or a well fortified safe zone. For the first option you can only run, but if it's the other they can be realy helpful to new player, either way attacking is the last thing you should do
I once played on official had 1 para and only cloth armor a guy on wyvern flies down and gives me a buch of stuff i said thanks then another dush just comes over a few minutes letter and atacks me for no reason and kills my para and takes all the loot by the way he was on a petra that did 2k damage lvl 250 or 269
I was alpha on my server. Did alot of wyvern taming and whatnot. Even made a neat turret base in the canyons that was small but only attacked wild dinos and hostile players. I was cautious to every survivor on the map and always tried to be benevolent. One tribe tried to build in my relatively small territory. I put signs up to mark that it was mine. They built inside and i told them, move your small base, ill help build it, but get it out of here. They said they would but kept it. Eventually they attacked my base while I was offline. My turrets and prized Trex annihalated them. I noticed this and told them, they had a day to move after that stunt. They didnt, so I took Caesar (My Albino Rex), and killed their Paracer and their front gate. I gave them an hour. They moved just down the canyon which was fine, but tried to do an assault on my base again with a load of Wolves, and whatnot. I tried to be nice....until then. Wiped them off the server with only my rex necessary.
I'm the type of survivor that scared of leaving my base because I'm afraid I won't remember where it is Edit: Ok I really appreciate everyone giving me advice on the game and everything but it's been 9 months ok.....I don't play the game anymore 😂
I'd say I'm a cautious survivor. But there are times when I can be dumb and fight people inappropriately lol. What about you? I'm sure there are a few prison wardens out there, right? By the way, if you like this video, I think you'll enjoy this one too :) --> ua-cam.com/video/qop2HEmH_iI/v-deo.html
I'm not exactly cautious, but very close, once on solo I made a ballista tower at the south beaches, totally unnecessary, but I decided you never know when a spino or baryonyx might show up. And I never take risks because I don't want to lose my stuff.
Personally I'm a hybrid, a mix between merciless and cautious that's in constant self conflict because of my want for that sweet seratonin clout of raiding but that fear of return raids or picking on a Alpha accidentally during a Tooth and Claw phase. ( What I call merciless killing cause I'm on AXEmans PAD server )
Yea they do when I was alpha I was nice with most of the people, those beach bobs with some help quickly turned into strong allies. You give them some good gear and help each other out and they will let you know when some bigger alphas are trying to wipe the server.
I played as a Robin hood. I'd stalk new players in a gillie suit, bolo and tranq em, then drop a shitload of tools and resources in thier inventory and sneak away. They'd be like, yelling and cussing me out and mad, then they wake up, check thier inventory, and be like "aw, bro! thanks!" and I'd just be hiding in the darkness 50 feet away laughing my ass off. I called it "un-raiding."
@@pterafier As a noob on ark I suffered immensely, so I figured I'd play a unique take on a raider. Lord knows the community can be Hella toxic already and it scares off new players. It had all the sadistic glee of being a raider but it didn't bully new players out of the server. also, whenever I got picked on I had LOTS of allies.
I was starting out new on an official aberration server when a guy came over and said hi. He seemed pretty geared and I was naturally cautious he told me he was Portuguese and didn’t speak English so he left. 10 mins later he comes back starts throwing cryopods everywhere and I think I’m about to get raided but he just starts unchaining them. He gave me 3 reapers, 2 drakes, 1 Anky, 1 doedicurus, and an easy. We didn’t even speak the same language and he was still nice to us and basically gave us end game Dino’s when we were only level 50.
I mean, its nice of him. But if you ask me the server is destroyed for you. I really dont think ark is about the end game, ark is about the journey to endgame.. I started a server once, a guy gave me a cryopod with insane high level wyvern. I mean, its nice, but i left the server, as that was too easy. I want the struggle, and the feeling of progression from the 1st raptor, to the endgame mobs.
@@loel7084 everytime my friend comes to me and say like "oh i found a alpha tribe that is recruutung, lets join" maybe i overreact but i get very pissed off when i hear thing like this, he say things like"but we never become big tribe, thats why i want to join" bruh we r a tribe of 2,and he says we dont need lvl 100,we dont need farming, and when we need to farm he log off or take a pt and fly away,i even played solo and in 2 days i got more stuff then times i play with him,and he stills says that im g@y for wanting to get lvl 100 and farming, anyways begin from 0 and go to 100,its the one of the greatest sensations in the world (idk y i said about me and my experience but at least u know i agree with @René Norup
Thank you for this. Many people don’t pay attention or have enough play time to understand that psychology is a BIG separation from players and top tier players… it was nearly 20 years ago now when I first started to understand how psychology can be used to win games in call of duty. It really is a top tier tool to factor in. Especially in a game like Ark when your beta about to take on Alpha… how will they respond?? Will they throw their whole weight at you? Or are they more devious and intend on battling you to cause you to waste all your resources?? The most dangerous in my opinion are the wardens. They don’t even raid you but are capable of still rendering you back to beach bob
Another type of survivor: the laid-back and friendly player. Able to negotiate with well. If you accidentally kill them, they will usually accept your apology and maybe give you something along the way. They just kinda wander around with no goal, just to make sure everyone is being nice
On my two servers the alphas were nice actually, they help me out with things and the server I'm on now I cried out for help cuz I basically lived next to horseshoe island in the center and there was like 9 alpha Raptors and then one spawned my island and almost killed my Barry and all my dilos, dont laugh but the pt i had died cuz I forgot rexes dismount and it was a 130 so yeah, then they said want a giga and I thought they were jk and I said sure but when they actually came with the giga I was like wow I just got a giga on pop official on ps4 and I killed the raptor in 3 shots. Then I checked the damage and saw that it does 3000+ damage and was fully mutated and had a lot of health for a tamed giga 3 times the case health it gets when you tame it.i then used my brain and tamed a that 130 rex on top of the giga and it was affective and now I had a rex. Would've had a chance to use it but people always raiding me offline and killed it so I was depressed. Then altherr alphas dropped by with a lanky with 400 melee and i was surviving on metal now until i got raided. The alphas on the first server were nice to me but then my great grandma died and I was away for a month, 5hen new people came to the alpha tribe and it wasn't fun because they traumatized me.i was on valguero 1065 join it if you can and take part of my revenge for my yuturannus which they brutally murdered with a mana , dont blame me I didn't know that the roar works on them, and then my tribe mate did something stupid and they wiped us even though all the tames were tamed by me and most of the base was built by my other tribe mate. It was fun though Btw I think I'm a casual player but my pop skills are lacking but I can negotiate good.
lol on this one private server I was on there was an alpha that went around making everyone pay taxes or else she and her friends would go on a full raid on your base no matter how big or small your base was. usually making us pay metal, concrete paste, silica Perls, and poly. she only did this if you've had a stone-tek base tho.
I find myself in that situation quite alot on non official servers. Im not a tyrant but I do work in a "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" fashion helping noobs and leets alike whenever I can.
The Fearful: The one who runs away from EVERYTHING (even a dodo, I’ve seen it.) they don’t talk or tame dinos they just run away. Also I’m the wholesome one, the one who is always up for negotiations, taming dodos and making friends
im a nice wanderer, the cautious, and sometimes the alpha. not in the sense that i'm immensely powerful but i have a lot of knowledge of the game itself. on a good friend's server i became the most respected person on Ragnarok because i was getting ice wyvern eggs and regular wyvern eggs from BOTH locations very easily while everyone else was dying with pteros. i only kept 1 of each type for myself (and they're low level mind you) and offered the rest to everyone else on the server who wanted one. also gave them fair warning "if you use these wyverns on me. i will destroy your entire foundations". one person did just that. they lost everything the moment they logged off thanks to gigas, Yutyrannus, and one single lightning wyvern that i kept in the obelisk for emergencies. my message: do NOT push the person being nice to you too far. don't laugh at their warnings and don't assume you know anything about them. the most secluded and kind person can be the most prepared AND the most dangerous of all.
I was introducing a friend to PvP survival games recently and just wanted to say that it's worth noting - begging people not to kill you is not negotiating, and with many of the more sadistic players this will make them more bloodthirsty. Similarly, when fighting, often you don't need to go for the win. You just need to convince them it's not worth the trouble.
Essentially the alpha tribe bullied everyone to attend to their every whim and it made me and my tribe mate mad. I slowly started tensions between the other large tribes and the alphas and started a 3 way war as I slowly gained power by trading with all three tribes and gaining lots of element while building a base at the same time. Me and my tribe mate watched as the second largest tribe overthrew the alpha tribe and we liked the second largest tribe the most. It was on an unofficial server though and the owner couldn’t pay for it anymore so I had to say my last goodbye unexpectedly and was sad to see the progress gone. It was amazing to experience though.
You know what I think you forget to talk about. The role player. I remember one time I went to the tundra for the first time, I see a clan of survivors in fur armor with a pack of wolves. I was scared shitless but they seemed cautious of me. I told them "I come in peace and I'm just getting resources." They talked to me like they have never left the tundra and then it hit me that they were role playing. So I played along and asked if they ever left the tundra and they said no cause it's their home borned and raised. We became allies and I would come back from time to time to trade them some resources in exchange for some prime meat(which thankfully I had food storage that preserved the meats). And let me tell ya...these guys never liked advanced technology like turrets and would always go for the hunter approach and oh boy were they sneaky mother fuckers when they had their wolves. So how do you deal with these kinds of players...ehhhhhh....that depends on the players. Some can be friendly are willing negotiate with you while some can be heartless bastards that want to see you suffer or outright kill you which can result to either run or fight depending if those players have serious gear and dinosaurs. So it's best to observe them before making your move.
Jeez, I wish I could find a good RP based server with more encounters like that. I feel like I would be that lone Hermit in the Redwood Forest who would generally keep to myself but offer my wisdom of the ARK and trade stories and resources from other biomes I couldn't normally get to.
The Master: Knows ALMOST everything abut ARK and its players. Easily progresses through the tech and gets valuable dinos. Similar to cautious but when they lose a fight, they always get angry A lot of people call those players: "EPIC GAMER" (Also, I'm like the guy which does not prepare but knows everything about ARK)
Same. I just chill and watch the alphas, betas and omegas fight eachother from far away. Chilling in my gillie suit with my spyglass and bag of popcorn.
we call ourselves shamans. if on official ps4, one should seek Cahokia. Grand city built by solo survivors on a server populated only by solo's, geoglyphs/petroglyphs guide the way.
I’m the babysitter... Usually, stay at the base, look after it, breed donors for mutations, make kibble, narcs and anything else that’s needed for the tribe
I like to refer to myself as "The Witch of the Redwoods." I live in a cute little cabin in the woods. I make a bunch of "potions" in cooking pots, and i'll even lend you some if you ask nicely. My thylecoleos, purlovias, plant species x and y, protect my cabin. (though, i have cute otters, jerboas, and mesopithicus inside) I keep to myself, mostly, and know every inch of the woods
Get a poison wyvern to protect your base, although they aren’t the best it would fit in the most, but their eggs are extremely hard to get even if you are on the right map to get them, happy hunting and happy New Years :)
@@masonadams3077 That's cool but I have never played a game without choosing my favorite UA-camrs and basically being an average player. When I start playing. I'm still bad
Subscribed! I didn't relate to the first few but I felt EXTREMELY called out by "the cautious" lol! I think there is a rare 7th type of player: The Team Player. The Team player is loyal and works hard for the tribe, and you almost never meet them as a solo player because they are indispensable to the tribe that takes them in. Loving the essay format!
Got into rust like a month back and there were a few nudes that were shouting “Chunga Bunga” or “Ooga Booga” in text this doesn’t sound that bad. But In game pitch black darkness with nothing but a small torch to light your way? I’ve never felt such a primal fear
I’m just that one player who gets a raft and makes a decent platform and patrols the beaches just telling people to get on - do i start a tribe? No. Do I attack? No. Do I boat? Hell yeah
Dude that was me when I first started I hated the land an other players were dicks so I just became a sailor then got a rude awakening when I found out about sea monsters lmao
@@maartenbernhard7663 lmaoooooo dude the land was scary T-Rex,raptors like wtf went to ocean an was like cool beans then had idea to sit in corner of map on boat an got my shit reked by a sea monster
I think a combo of a Raft with a Raptor, just perfect. If you need to go into open waters but have a place to land the raptor, good beans. I am not sure if there is any mix of Bird / water dinos that can land on water. Sea monsters only care for boats, so you would be safe from them, altho other sea stuff would a problem. Meeeeeh it is an unsolved issue for sure.
I'm the cautious, that's why I'm watching this channel lol. So far great stuff! I aprecciate your advice man, I have a feeling your channel will blow up soon!
I would say I'm a unique player The Dodo Fanatic: Just Tames Dodos and only tames other animals to help tame more Dodos to the point where the server admin has to step in and stop them from taming more Dodos
On another private server, I had nickname "insect king", I had so much athropluras, and mantises, there wasn't much people who were willing to raid me, because last time a group with metal and some tek tried and they were obliterated, although I wish athroploras were breedable though. sadly that server has been wiped and restarted.
I'm kinda like a rancher I guess, I just wanna build cool structures and how a bunch of dinos, though it's kinda made me stop playing ark because for the most part I always get wiped because I'm too laid back.
I’m the same, though I call it the Breastmaster Archetype, but it could also be a rancher. I don’t play multiplayer though. I’m not paying Sony $60 a month to get wiped daily. Do you spend most of your engram points on saddles for every creature you know is on the map?
@DNL It's most likely the case. People don't just give other players really powerful things like that for no reason, especially if they're the one who worked really hard to get it
@DNL The quote implies that You are special, just being here. Something people dealing with the loss of a friend through suicide often parrot in some form or another. Maybe the player is just happy to have people playing their favourite game, or maybe they are trying to do random acts of kindness. Hard to say.
I think I’m somewhere between a cautious survivor and the fearless. I hunt random dinos like crazy but I also stay cautious by over preparing like crazy and getting thousands of wood, thatch, stone, flint. You name it. I get stronger at a feverishly slow pace but I also use my dinos to help me take out brontosaurus for prime meat, and xp. I use all my dinosaurs for different purposes. My diplodocus’s to carry high weight materials like insane amounts of wood, or metal. I use pteranodon to go high and observe creatures, then research on them to see how to tame them, how hard they are to tame, how strong they are. Etc. I don’t really play on multiplayer servers but I will play on them when I feel like I’m ready for it
Gonna be honest, while watching this I was expecting “The Builder” where they would build a castle, or make everything look nice. I’d know, ‘cause that’s me.
I am personally a builder myself as well. But I learned I am not very welcome in PvP servers because I have no interest in mindless killing or being some never see the light of day miner. So I play singleplayer these days. Because I am done with the toxic as fuck Ark Community. I just want to build a Japanese town or a Viking village or a fortified Roman camp or whatever. I have no interest in teaching rando noobs how to tame a bloody trike or whatever. I have no interest in attacking and wiping camps and bases because they built a centimeter too close to you. Or hunting for prisoners.. I just want to build cool shit.
Ima pvp builder myself and when it comes with a two tribe server you would have to be a really good pvp player or else there's no tribe since I can build anything and make it look good and efficient exept I don't really pvp
Me: "hey bro could you stop attacking me?" The person: "oh sure bu- wait your a girl??" Me: ಠ_ಠ runs away Seriously this happens to me- idk why but it does and it's kinda annoying
Well don’t expect special treatment, I was playing yesterday and someone started to attack me I asked them to stop and they did but then they came back with a lightning wyvern and wiped my base
I'm the cautious anti-social hermit with pc issues that only plays single player. But that will change soon. I work for an international corporation and found A LOT of colleagues all over the world who play too. So we are working on establishing a company only Ark server as part of our employee relations and morale campaign our hr dept started. So the company will cover half the cost, we have to cover the rest and we need to vote on our admin team and server settings. But it's been determined PVE only. Don't want pvp drama spill into work situations. Sounds like loads of fun.
I’d say I’m my own type of survivor. I over prepare when i don’t need to and under prepare when I am going into a dangerous area.I am also incredibly kind to anyone I meet regardless of if they want to kill me. I call it , the clumsy
I'm just a farmer. I live off the land and don't want to fight anyone. I just want to make pretty buildings and help anyone I find... It gets me into trouble more often than not, so I mostly play single.

I don’t know if this is common or not but in my case you forgot the admin that takes advantage of the free resources. I do this with my friend offline so we turn on creative mode and proceed to tame/spawn/ do whatever we want on our island. Is that just me and my friend?
Is there the “Wandering Trader” type of player? Because in my server, I take a high level bronto with a platform saddle, build a trading store on top, and go around the island asking if I could trade with people, and somehow noone kills me when I’m around
When I'm playing multiplayer, I'm always the cautious. I always scout out my grinding areas, and rarely ever go out in the open or near populated areas, unless I'm well prepared and protected.
I just don't wear armor and use only easy to make items. I have good stuff but only in my hidden base and i never have it on me because I'm worried about losing it.
I've always been the cautious survivor, and that mainly stems from getting attacked from the get go when I first started on a private server. I'm always keeping an eye out (and that always stems from another game I played before ARK and that was The Isle back when progression tiers was a thing) for dangers that might just flat out kill me or make my day a bad one.
Add ignore to reactions, and 7 types : beach bob, welfare Bob, ob Bob, common troll, sweat cave dweller/ rat hole dweller, the mesh monkey, and lastly the no offline timers. This goes for official pvp servers for 2020 Great video quality, this video was true a few years ago but the game is just way more toxic now .
I'm the kind thats nice and friendly I help people out but the second I see your name in my tribe logs for either raiding me or killing my tames I'll be on lookout for you and when I find you its hell to pay. I'm the lone wolf. I play 1player mode. I am far too vindictive and brutal, being honest, I'm a massive A hole. I like this game FAR too much to subject other people to me. I want EVERYONE to love this game as much as I do!
I am a passive wanderer/cautious type. I wander around trying to get resources and tames while keeping away from other survivors. If I ever come into contact with one, I know what to do.
I feel like everyone here was expecting a “Grinder” personally I’m a huge grinder but very experienced and I’m always able to negotiate What would I be

The mad guardian: A wanderer or a fearless who is generally high level. They will either protect their team, bases or pacifists with extreme aggression. And should they see a noob/newb get ganked or kidnapped, they will pursue the killer/kidnapper with relentless force. All this happened because a group literally called "The Pacifist Farmers" kept getting harrassed by Prison Wardens when the admin was gone.

These guys hold grudges like you wouldn't believe lol
The wholesome: Are really just playing to make friends and get a bunch of dodos, honestly these are the best type of people
I had a dodo fuck barge I just breed super dodos in and slowly moved around the map had like 200 of them
I’m one of them. I like giving noobs Dogs and dodos to help them. And I make friends that way
I usually drop carbonemis (turtles) with ridiculous stats and names unclaimed on new players. It's fun to see their reactions to turtle showers xD
This ones are the best to kill 🤤
@Richie Cook they take 6 times damage by long ranged weapons
I don't play in 4 years, I'll probably be that guy lol
But tbh flyer speed was great and needs to be a thing again😂
Exactly Torrin lol, I've been playing for five years and I miss the flyer speed. Ark really took away the best parts. I remember when I just started the game, and I was beyond excited. It has so many cool aspects to it. I died so much in the beginning and now I only die if I want myself to die haha. I honestly can't believe this game is five years old now.
I still remember the trees flopping about wildly at certain angles.

There can be a few different types of Loners:
The Meek - These are Lone players who have grown to not trust anyone to the point that the moment they even see another player, they are already running and hiding.
I guess I’m the nomadic one
I’d be the meek
Im a mix of the meek and nomadic. Ill try to help new people but I hate any other interactions. I've played for around 2 years but I've been in 1 tribe with people I don't know personally... yea I've raided only one person I have been afraid ever since.

Same but I get killed by fearless
So you’re telling me there are alphas that don’t just wipe everyone for no reason other than to be “that guy” everyone hates? Impossible.
Any good alpha wants their server to grow.
It was fun though
Btw I think I'm a casual player but my pop skills are lacking but I can negotiate good.
lol on this one private server I was on there was an alpha that went around making everyone pay taxes or else she and her friends would go on a full raid on your base no matter how big or small your base was.
usually making us pay metal, concrete paste, silica Perls, and poly.
she only did this if you've had a stone-tek base tho.
Back on PS4 official 1x, when servers used to be closed, there was an alpha tribe that would raid anyone that decided to raid other people.

im a nice wanderer, the cautious, and sometimes the alpha. not in the sense that i'm immensely powerful but i have a lot of knowledge of the game itself. on a good friend's server i became the most respected person on Ragnarok because i was getting ice wyvern eggs and regular wyvern eggs from BOTH locations very easily while everyone else was dying with pteros. i only kept 1 of each type for myself (and they're low level mind you) and offered the rest to everyone else on the server who wanted one. also gave them fair warning "if you use these wyverns on me. i will destroy your entire foundations". one person did just that. they lost everything the moment they logged off thanks to gigas, Yutyrannus, and one single lightning wyvern that i kept in the obelisk for emergencies.
my message: do NOT push the person being nice to you too far. don't laugh at their warnings and don't assume you know anything about them. the most secluded and kind person can be the most prepared AND the most dangerous of all.
Wonderful

The Team player is loyal and works hard for the tribe, and you almost never meet them as a solo player because they are indispensable to the tribe that takes them in. Loving the essay format!
Me seeing the merciless: *ah so basically every rust player I have ever encountered*
Got into rust like a month back and there were a few nudes that were shouting “Chunga Bunga” or “Ooga Booga” in text this doesn’t sound that bad. But In game pitch black darkness with nothing but a small torch to light your way? I’ve never felt such a primal fear
Ahhhh, Rust
I’m just that one player who gets a raft and makes a decent platform and patrols the beaches just telling people to get on - do i start a tribe? No. Do I attack? No. Do I boat? Hell yeah
Dude that was me when I first started I hated the land an other players were dicks so I just became a sailor then got a rude awakening when I found out about sea monsters lmao
me to lmao
@@maartenbernhard7663 lmaoooooo dude the land was scary T-Rex,raptors like wtf went to ocean an was like cool beans then had idea to sit in corner of map on boat an got my shit reked by a sea monster
Boatin and floatin like a boss
I think a combo of a Raft with a Raptor, just perfect.
If you need to go into open waters but have a place to land the raptor, good beans. I am not sure if there is any mix of Bird / water dinos that can land on water.
Sea monsters only care for boats, so you would be safe from them, altho other sea stuff would a problem. Meeeeeh it is an unsolved issue for sure.
okay that intro deserves a sub 0:21
I'm the cautious, that's why I'm watching this channel lol. So far great stuff! I aprecciate your advice man, I have a feeling your channel will blow up soon!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the content!
@@pterafier yea. I think i might try multiplayer again thanks to this video. So thank you.

The Dodo Fanatic: Just Tames Dodos and only tames other animals to help tame more Dodos to the point where the server admin has to step in and stop them from taming more Dodos
That's me but just with dung beetles xD
On another private server, I had nickname "insect king", I had so much athropluras, and mantises, there wasn't much people who were willing to raid me, because last time a group with metal and some tek tried and they were obliterated, although I wish athroploras were breedable though. sadly that server has been wiped and restarted.
I wonder how many dodos it takes to kill an experienced player in flak armor...
Testing time!
@@sear9993 it takes 67 level 300 dodos to kill a player with flak armor on within a minute if they chose to fight back with a non-splash damage attack
That's basically me with raptors
I am a beach bob at heart no matter how powerful I am I always find myself goofing off at the beach.
I'm kinda like a rancher I guess, I just wanna build cool structures and how a bunch of dinos, though it's kinda made me stop playing ark because for the most part I always get wiped because I'm too laid back.
Play singleplayer or PVE
I’m the same, though I call it the Breastmaster Archetype, but it could also be a rancher. I don’t play multiplayer though. I’m not paying Sony $60 a month to get wiped daily. Do you spend most of your engram points on saddles for every creature you know is on the map?
yea go to pve, that means people cant raid, kill you or steal your loot., but you can still interact and tribe with other people
The man that gave his drake almost made me cry he has lost someone very close to him. Phew the feels
One thing I know that Direbears are your best friends!!
Especially imprinted ones!
I just got the game and I’m now permanently cautious. I can’t trust anyone who I come across
I'm the survivor that gets a gun as fast as possible and tames like... 37 dodos
But... but my tae kwon dodos
Same
I think I’m somewhere between a cautious survivor and the fearless. Etc. I don’t really play on multiplayer servers but I will play on them when I feel like I’m ready for it
Basically a normal player
I am also a builder. I just want to build a base and tame dinos. If someone comes too close I just tell them “Hey this is my space!”
See this is why people don't like me I'm a merciless server hopper so transfer and destroy 🤣😂
Weird flex but ok
Me when another player came close to me:
Oh my gosh finaly somebody else on this lone land
Realises he gave me swamp fever:
That lil turd....
The contagion
The merchant: overstocks on precious recources such as gunpowder and cementing paste and trades their way into the top of the food chain
Me: "hey bro could you stop attacking me?"
The person: "oh sure bu- wait your a girl??"
Me: ಠ_ಠ runs away
Seriously this happens to me- idk why but it does and it's kinda annoying
Well don’t expect special treatment, I was playing yesterday and someone started to attack me I asked them to stop and they did but then they came back with a lightning wyvern and wiped my base
I don't expect it, I rather hate special treatment

I'm the cautious anti-social hermit with pc issues that only plays single player. But that will change soon. I work for an international corporation and found A LOT of colleagues all over the world who play too. So we are working on establishing a company only Ark server as part of our employee relations and morale campaign our hr dept started. So the company will cover half the cost, we have to cover the rest and we need to vote on our admin team and server settings. But it's been determined PVE only. Don't want pvp drama spill into work situations. Sounds like loads of fun.
That's pretty dope :O
I feel attacked with "the cautious" 😂
There's a reason I never play Ark PvP. It's insanity.
The Speedster: Only levels up their movement speed and strength to beat the crap out of you in any situation
I'm the cautious without the "calm in every situation" thing
I’d say I’m my own type of survivor. I over prepare when i don’t need to and under prepare when I am going into a dangerous area.I am also incredibly kind to anyone I meet regardless of if they want to kill me. I call it , the clumsy
thats me basicly. but im the one wich trys to over prepare and then dies to something incredible stupid. like a bug, a fatfinger on the wrong key.
@@deformiertergolfball4847 Same. I randomly decide that I want to tame a raptor when I'm at beach bob level.

Because in my server, I take a high level bronto with a platform saddle, build a trading store on top, and go around the island asking if I could trade with people, and somehow noone kills me when I’m around
you're seriously just lucky because I get killed or have to kill all the time even just going to an ob.
I Hate the Mercyless, theyre the reasaon i never Play on local servers
Edit: I gave official pvp a try and I enjoy it therally
I never understood why some people would play a game just to specifically ruin it for others.
If I raid a base on my server. I don't exactly want them building back up to come at me
LOL I like to Troll the Mercyless
The worst
Yeah, I'm just an advanced beach bob
When I'm playing multiplayer, I'm always the cautious. I always scout out my grinding areas, and rarely ever go out in the open or near populated areas, unless I'm well prepared and protected.
I’m the paranoid, the one who is scared of everything
Lmaooooo understandable xD
Same even when in full flak armour and holding a sword I'm terrified of random naked people
Yep that's me. 😂
I just don't wear armor and use only easy to make items. I have good stuff but only in my hidden base and i never have it on me because I'm worried about losing it.
I am too. But now I am an alpha single player person.
I feel an urge to finally play in a public server
I've always been the cautious survivor, and that mainly stems from getting attacked from the get go when I first started on a private server. I'm always keeping an eye out (and that always stems from another game I played before ARK and that was The Isle back when progression tiers was a thing) for dangers that might just flat out kill me or make my day a bad one.
I'm the careless pve play on your own private server with friends type. One tribe, all cooperate, no friendly fire, and have fun.
Your a polish person 😀
I’m the type of guy to go get a trike, and run it through every wooden and thatch base and loot it
Not a bad idea ngl
But trikes kinda sux when youre lvl 60 or something
Best done with rare flowers and wild trikes lol

What about the I'm-never-coming-out-I'm-too-scared type of survivor? 🤔
Add ignore to reactions, and 7 types : beach bob, welfare Bob, ob Bob, common troll, sweat cave dweller/ rat hole dweller, the mesh monkey, and lastly the no offline timers. This goes for official pvp servers for 2020
Great video quality, this video was true a few years ago but the game is just way more toxic now .
The mercalice is the best description that I have heard of how I play the game lmao
I'm the kind thats nice and friendly I help people out but the second I see your name in my tribe logs for either raiding me or killing my tames I'll be on lookout for you and when I find you its hell to pay. I wiped a tribe solo on a boosted server even got past their deathwall without a single tame been mainly sticking to offical found a super chill server as well
What server is it?
Im scared of everyone I only attack if they do it first
I'm the lone wolf.
Kill? Or T-pose 😂😂😂
I feel like everyone here was expecting a “Grinder” personally I’m a huge grinder but very experienced and I’m always able to negotiate What would I be
Wanderer Player being as good as in this video is such a nice and very needed type of person in our life. May Therisino never show himself to you, Good Man. I would like to meet you in game
And I was then praised as The mad guardian for leading 40 mega lvled megalosaurs to hit the Prison Wardens camp in the middle of the night.
Rule #1 of that server) NO ONE F#!&*NG HARMS OUR PACIFIST FARMERS! (they are friends to all and rival groups must let their weapons down in farmer territories)
My dude you are what all wanderers should aspire to be
I am the ghost one, ı dont have a house ı am only cook meat in day in forests and destroy the fire after that ı am not cutting 2 tree in same place ı see everyone but they cant see me...
I don't like raiding people but I love giving them and helping them and then sometimes I get stuff in return, such as a maewing I recently got
I’d say I’m merciless and the giving wanderer i knock noobs out to give em loot and try to kill sweats 👍
I’m the guy that get a pt and flies into a turret instantly
i agree with the wanders cause he gave me the best things you could wish for in ark he gave a full tek suit and armor 2 gigas that were 245 2 rockdrakes and two velonosaurs
Big boi: he is like smog but with tek
Speedy boi: has maxed movement speed and can be aggressive or friendly
Me: I give everybody a chance to negotiate and try to make friends but make no mistake, you get in our way on purpose? You will be on the beach in 3 minutes, but if your doing it accidentally and don’t know then I might make you a friend. Unless you attack
