I remember my first time in Ocala with a buddy. I had my brand new 2017 TRD OR and he took us through the trails around the bombing range. The noise of those branches running down the side of my truck are still stuck in my head. I finally said Oh well this is why I bought the Tacoma....I can learn to live with it. Thanks for another great video.

I’ve been off roading Ocala NF. for 30 yrs. as well as the rest of Florida and other states. My 2010 Taco has never had an issue with 4 x 4 high or low nor did my 1998 Taco. 2010 manual says you must put at least 10 miles a month on the 4 x 4 to keep it lubed. Hearing about these problems with the 4 x 4 makes me leery of buying a new one.

That's typically where the problems come in, when people go awhile without putting it 4wd, the actuators get sticky. The gx470 center diff locker is bad about that, but my 11 taco has never had an issue either
