I don't know why your reactions never showed up in my feed before,but I'm watching all of them now. A friend called Ren in the middle of the night to tell him Joe was on the bridge and calling peopke to say goodbye. Ren lived the closest and just couldn't run fast enough. The begining was about himself. He really wanted to die since he saw no way out of the pain and illness. He spent a whole year in bed getting weaker and thinner. But it never seemed like the right time. Seeing what Hoes death did to his family and friends, I think kept Ren alive, though he used to beg his mother to be alright with him leaving.
