- This is my FPL Gameweek 28 team, and looking at what we've learned in the weekend. Time to prepare for the upcoming double gameweek. Lots of useful tips for Fantasy Premier League 2023/24!

Trippier and Senesi getting injured and missing those clean sheets, gotta love it
I had both of them. 3 Gameweeks now where I have lost 2 players mid game. It is my first season
Feel like people keep getting sucked into double gameweeks... does noone remember the last one? Taking hits to bring Luton or Bournemouth players in for great single gameweek players is crazy
For real, my squad has been annihilated bringing in players from those shithouse teams
The last one was unlucky. It's ok to go nuts for good double GW's for good teams. But going for bad players for a mediocre double for a bad team (Luton and Bournemouth mids) is crazy. I remember the Dennis and King double GW. hits for a player like solanke and maybe a nailed Bournemouth defender are ok.
You have to factor in GW 29. Bringing in Luton assets also helps for you 29 for people not free hitting like myself
@@seanhorgan5380 luton's fixture in 29 is not that great either. I will only have doughty on my FH29, and he is 3rd choice of the defenders too.
Thats why i will only have Doughty and Solanke. Not worth it unless you FH29

Someone who was like 20 weeks to late to get waktins. I was pretty happy to actully want him to do well 😅
playing Areola was the smartest move I made this week.
That depends on who your other GK was.

@@Artemis_simetrA A smart move is determined by the factors that you know or could know when you made the decision. You cannot know the outcome beforehand, so the outcome doesn't determine if it is a smart move. Cs odds for WHU against EVE were probably better then FUL against BHA, so in this case it was a smart move. The way it worked out, with a penalty save instead of the CS, is luck. No one can predict a penalty save. So if you want to say it was the most advantage move due to the points scored you could say it was the best move, but not the smartest one. That is the one that increased the expected points before the GW the most.
Getting foden for the double GW two weeks ago has really been a blessing. Although Halland has kinda been dissapointing.
Richarlison talking to ESPN Brazil after Spurs last game said "I'm already training, tomorrow [Monday] I already have training on the field and I believe that next Saturday [sic] I'll be ready for the next game.[Villa]"" Overly optimistic maybe? A surprise early return would affect Son IMO.
Left so many points on the bench this week: Areola (13); Konate (8); Botman (6); Douglas Luiz (4). Wish I'd played the Bench Boost!
How did you get 13 points for Dubravka he gave most people 7 points

Currently only have 3 players for GW29. I had originally planned to FH but the more I think about it the more I’m not sure it’s worth it! Instead I’m thinking of saving FH for GW34 and using these transfers to get 7 players for the blank:
GW28:
Haaland > Morris (free)
Dubravka > Kaminski (-4 but has DGW and plays in blank)
GW29:
Estupinan > Udogie (free)
Gordon > Maddison / Bowen (-4)
Then I’d WC out of it in GW31 to get key players like Salah back in. Anyone any thoughts on this?
I can only bring in 1 of Maddison, Kudus and Barkley for the next 3 GW's by selling Foden. No freehit GW29.
Who would you pick?
Kudus great fixtures and upside. Maddison consistent. Barkley double but poor for FPL points.

I got 42 with Saka(c) and Saliba left. I'll wc for next gameweek because my team is quite terrible 🥲
oscar leno got 8, u got it down there as 6
68 for me at the moment, with Saliba, Gabriel and Saka to play. Benched Areola over Leno but that was my only "bad" decision, although I do feel that I was fomo'd into captaining Haaland - Saka may well punish me on Monday.
Usually never make an early transfer . Decided to bring in Senesi before their game on Sunday. Absolutely gutted , what a waste of a transfer..

When do we find out the fixtures for DGW 34 and 37?
Hey Oscar, question for you, this season I’ve taken 24 points worth of hits this season, and in gw29 I’m looking to take a -8 to get 9 players, is it worth it or do I play my free hit instead?
The 24 points worth of hits has no bearing on your plans for the future. Do what you think is the best for your team
I've taken 28 points of hits this season however mostly for injured players. Take a hit if you must, my rank is 50k currently and without those hits i wouldn't even be in the top 100k so.
Do we know anything about what happened with a senesi? Since I bought him in last week

still not convinced by that free hit team 🤔 currently looking at taking a -8/12 to field 8/9 players, think the free hit is worth saving for the dgws
maybe. But you will have a lot of bad players for the weeks after GW 29. It is nearly impossible to not FH in 29 if you don't WC in 28 or 30/31.
@@janvisser4132 think the double before helps, especially luton as they also play 29, and yes i would definitely wildcard straight after - most likely 30 tbh.
@@astrotravellin I will FH 29, so for me it doesn't matter who plays in 29. The disadvantage of WC 30 is arsenal-city that week. But your strategy (with probably FH 34?) is very good.
@@janvisser4132 that is true but given the way my team looks i think 30 makes more sense, even if i bench most of my city/arsenal assets that week. both strategies definitely make sense - i would’ve just liked some better fixtures in the bgw.

Trippier coming off at 51 minutes hurted me. If he stayed on its very likely he would of kept a clean sheet. I feel like in fpl you should get 2 points for keeping a clean sheet in one halft cause it is so hard to keep a clean sheet these days or get 6 points instead of 4 for keeping a clean sheet

For me I will have to likely do my wildcard for gameweek 29. I am thinking though about bench boosting and then forfeiting gameweek 29.

Maybe use WC in between GW31-34 then BB GW 37 for a big DW 37 👍

Wildcarded this week to set up for the dgw and 29
Started well with Bailey and Watkins. Sucked that Pau missed out tho because I was 50/50 between starting Neto and Pau or Areola and Senesi and I ended up doing the first one. Kudus and Bowen came through and I had Kudus first on my bench. Ofc Solanke played and blanked. And I have Doughty third on my bench. And ofc Foden hauled which really hurt. Still optimistic for the next few weeks because I’m still set up well, but I’ll probably have to sell Senesi to Zabarnyi or Kerkez and either just play 10 in 29 or take a -4

i see barkley more like a playmaker while chong is too free roaming to the net. if you ask me though i'd consider morris as luton asset for the dgw as i already have doughty
Am really struggling to know what to do now. Watkins is my only player playing in GW29 and my bench boost is the only chip I’ve got left.
My team is:
Areola, Flekken
Trippier, Van Djik, Gabriel, Branthwaite, Lamptey
Saka, Foden, Salah, Neto, Garnacho
Haaland, Watkins, Adebayo
Do I:
1. Do a simple Trippier to Doughty (or maybe regulion?) + Adebayo to Solanke for a -4
2. Risk it for the biscuit and do Haaland to Solanke + Neto for Son (unlikely)
3. Adebayo to Morris this week, optional step of trippier to Doughty/regulion, and Neto to Douglas Luiz/Bailey next week
Would really appreciate any advice sry for long comment lol
I’d see if you can get to 6 or 7 players with a -12. If you put in a couple of Luton players this week at least they double and then play so the hits *should* pay for themselves.
Maybe go for a couple of Brentford players next week against Burnley and hope for the best.
A hit for Bowen this week against Burnley could also more easily pay for itself and at least he plays in 29.
Don’t forget you have 2 actually including keeper.
Prioritise getting rid of weak spots in your team - injuries etc and don’t worry too much about getting all the best players because you need to think long term and getting a good captain with 6 or 7 players in BGW29 would be manageable

Edit: -12 taken, did Trippier to Doughty, Neto to Bowen, Adebayo to Solanke and van Djik to Zabarnyi. Hopefully I don’t regret not having Son and Morris 🤞(also have 0.0m ITB now lol)

My plan. Virgil to Zabaryni. Free up money and prep for Odegaard to Salah in GW31. Currently on 72 points with Odegaard, Saka and Saliba to go 💪

For a -4 i could have a bench with Areola, doughty, foden and taylor. Does anyone think its worth bench boosting with that, or waiting for 37? Thanks
It’s decent enough for BB but might depend on what the -4 is to do. Half the issue with BB is having 4 playing players never mind getting good fixtures. If you’re feeling it, go for it 👍🏻
@@Reznogg Thanks :) the -4 is to take out too red flagged players so nothing lost there. Yeah, I'm wondering if having an ok BB available is better to just do now as opposed to waiting until the unknowns of GW37.

why call the video transfer plans when you only discuss your transfers for 2 mins of a 8 min video?
I used to use the previous gameweek in the title but no-one watches when you word it that way, so it's a mix of analysing the gameweek straight after and then transfer plans. Prefer it this way than 8 minutes rambling about my transfer plans only 😅

With so many content creators now I value their own thoughts and planning more than fact like xA xG on template players.

@@imayer7098 Yeah exactly. tbh all my other content during the week looks forward to the next week. Most people can't follow every game so there's a place for discussing last GW while it's still fresh, and then move on to next week after that
