What a great episode and great story of Zatoichi's series and the first time seems he runs for his life even climb up a tree !!! Especially when he lost his cane of sword and lucky for him to get a iron cane and take revenge of the officer and Senta san happily together with his beloved ones !! Next episode Zatoichi will have his cane sword back and we will be none the wiser.
Lol! It's ok, he'll just stop by the blind guy's sword cane shop, pick up a fresh one. We haven't yet gotten to the episode where he gets the sword the master smith spent ten years on making just right. And he'll go on through countless battles, typically outnumbered by at least 10 to 1, at least one such battle every episode, and escape unscathed every time, committing countless atrocities, any one of which would be punishable by death, with impunity. Because people just love it when the bad guys get their comeuppance.
But, if you're focusing on such stuff, you might be missing the kindness he consistently lavishes, often (typically) at the risk of his own life, on good people, especially those who have shown him even the least little bit of kindness, and the depth of his efforts to make things go right and go right for the long term in the lives of such people when they might be in need of a little help or nudge in the right direction.
Ya, Zatoichi's an idiot, he lost his sword cane. And the show's pretty dumb, they'll just give him a new one next episode.
They can always say the officer he killed kept the sword as a souvenir, and had the cane with him and dropped it in the boat when he died.

I cried and woke up...
Their once was a beautiful Japanese girl she knelt on the ground in her flowerd kimono I flew to her and swirled the cherry blossoms like ❄ snowflakes and I swirled them around and around her I came to her and as magic I held a cherry blossom between my fingers to her as a gift of love
She never acknowledged me she just stared ahead and fainted as if she wasn't interested I stole a kiss on her cheek and I smiled and I saw her strength falter for a brief second. That was the real magic of my mind and she was real and the cherry blossoms dancec like snowflakes was also real I miss her being with me she was as real as I am.

This is the first time zatoichi got scared and climbed up the tree, i didnt understand why
The most nonsense plot I have ever seen in Zatoichi's series. I wonder how Zatoichi survives with the unsharpened sword in the future.
The playwright didn't explain why Ichi was arrested.
Actually, they did show why he's being arrested. They showed a flashback to a previous episode wherein he cut down a dirty cop who was trying to kill him. That cop had been bribed by a yakuza boss to kill a yakuza rival, leaving a widow and child.
As for the plot, I just suspend disbelief. You have to with this series. Zatoichi does things with the sword that no seeing man could do. The whole premise of the series requires one to suspend disbelief. You could say the same about most jidaegeki dramas. At the end of most of them, the hero confronts his enemies, denounces them for their crimes and then proceeds to kill every damn one of them, no matter how many there are.
Its look like the movie director was drunk or lost his mind to create such a stupid sequence.. the defeatless man who easily destroyed uncountable highly skilled swordsman’s, the person who breaks up every single experts prepared ambush in many complicated scenario’s .. in this part running like a young girl from bunch of idiots.. he coming out seconds ago from inside the river but he was thirsty and need water … he was arrested than beating hard while in the jails.. at the end he was easily destroyed all those idiots using old rusty blunt sword.. 😂😂😂🤣😂😅🤣😆😁 Laurel Hardy
