Love it Herm. Nothing better than an event like this celebrating the emergency responders, the equipment and their families. A beautiful day for a parade! This is what makes it great to be an American. Thank you and God bless.
Kenny My dad was a Firefighter for 30 years. Back in 1977 he retired rank as a Assistant Chief of the Greensboro Fire Department. Things have changed since my dad retired. Just as race cars have changed through the years. Kenny you give everybody a fair shake. Good Man!
This is my hometown. The population of Winchester City is normally around 35k people. Every year the Apple Blossom Parades and festival brings so many visitors our town that the population more then triples for that weekend and we have over 100k people in our small town. There are celebrities every year as the Grand Marshall and athletes and sports figures that serve as the Sports Marshall for the firefighters parade which is always on Friday, the day day before the Grand Feature parade. I remember seeing you Kenny along the parade route. Thanks for coming to Winchester .
Way to go Kenny! Maybe next year you can get some practice in, then set fast time! God bless these men (and women) who race to save our lives! Go #618!
This video really made me remember the one and only time I saw Herm. Was at Texas Motor Speedway more than 10 years ago and was there watching the Fox guys (John Roberts, Herm and either Larry Mac or Jeff H) talking about the race and the Cup season. When they went to a break, they got up to stretch their legs and stuff. When Herm turned in our direction, I waved but wasn't expecting any reaction but he waved back like he knew us and I always appreciated that. Never change, Herm.
I was blessed to be part of the parade about 22 years ago with a Hot Air balloon. I Miss not seeing the light blue tow trucks. The party at their home was enjoyable. The surrounding area had so many beautiful homes from civil war era.
The amazing thing about some of these guys is they are volunteers who have full time jobs doing something completely different Kenny "Apple Blossom" Wallace ..... has a nice ring to it
My husband was your engine driver and he’s very good at what he does. 😊 You were a fantastic marshal for us,we enjoyed having you….even when we were picking up all those cones.😂 DCFD (Washington DC) Engine 7
Thank you for coming to our town!!! I got to serve at the sports breakfast but didn't get a chance to see you!!! But I'm a long time race fan and was proud to see you there!!! Thank you!!❤
Lots of Civil War history in that area. Very cool too see this video. God bless our first responders. You don't need them until you need them. Usually then it's bad.
I saw you Kenny riding through at the end of the parade but truth be told you brought my son up on ths speed stage for his birthday at Charlotte during a commercial break and Im forever greatful. You know Greg Gunter sponsors The Rocket House car Kenny with Gunters Honey.
Great to see you doing this Herm. Our firefighters and first responders don't get the credit they deserve. It's a tough life for the volunteers who are on call 24/7. God bless and protect them all.
If you knocked down everything with the truck then you for certain have a future as a snowplow truck driver! The ones around here knock down everything ditch to ditch! Lol😂
I just watched the video that you did with @stapleton42 earlier today where you mentioned the Dirt Devil car. Ironically, I was at my local hobby shop a few hours after that and happened to find a model kit of that very car. 😃 So I grabbed it up and now I'll be building it up soon. I'll have to send you some pictures on Instagram when I get it done.
