Hi Natalie, I can't wait to share with you first that I managed to handstand against the wall today! Thank you so much really! I really started from scratch, had neither gymnastic nor atheletic background and I just wanted to challenge myself. To be honest, I think this is my fourth time watching day 26 as I could not do it and wanted to give up. The fear of falling was stopping me. So I stayed away from following for awhile but I really yearn to be able to do it and kept practicing everyday(fell many times) and realise its not that scary after all. After more practice suddenly my legs and hips just went up naturally. Im so happy and really, hardwork never betrays. All the best to the rest who are still trying. Practice practice practice! You will be able to do it too:)
Hello, That is so amazing! Thank you for sharing your experience with this! That last bit when your body really gets into an inverted position can be very tricky! Well done also for taking time off, which is the best thing to do when something gets too frustrating. Then you can start afresh with new energy and perspective. Best wishes
Thank you Natalie for your kind words of encouragement. Haven't felt so much satisfaction from completing a challenge for a long time. I guess having breaks does helped in reflecting my shortcomings and starting afresh. Will continue to practice and hopefully can get away from the wall in the future. Really appreciate that you always took time to reply to every single one of our comments. Had so much fun learning handstand through your videos and I look forward to more of your uploads! Best wishes to you too!
I’ve been away in the mountains, and I miss my handstand practice. What you said in the end of the practice was really nice and encouraging, and very generous. I started my handstand learning journey rather by surprise, I do trail run mostly, and I thought it would do me good in trail running to strengthen sense of balance, flexibility and coordination of the body, so mid last year I walked in a local gymnastic gym without knowing exactly what people do there. I wasn’t able to do a single push up and was quite frustrated when I started handstand learning as part of my training section, and it took me 10 sections to kick up the wall first time by incident and surprise. Thank you Natalie, I can definitely feel getting stronger in mind and body following this 30 days journey with you.
Hello Jill, thank you for this feedback! It is so nice to hear. I am glad you are discovering more of your physical abilities. It is quite a big adventure to learn using your body in new ways. Be patient and practice without big expectations, then you will be surprised by how much you can learn. Best wishes
Thank you Natalie! I got there about day 32 but that included 3 days off to make sure I was feeling strong. Then I could kick up to handstand against the wall 8 out of 10 times. Your teaching is great. I will come back to revise so I can see you (and Puck the handstand dog!) again.
Hello, thank you for sharing! That sounds very good, it is super useful to take time off to allow the body to process the things that you have learned. Wise choice! Thanks for being here. Wave
Thank you very much, Natalie for I´ve never come this far before in my attempt to do a handstand! Just like in your case, it´s going take me much more than 30 days and hehe I´m not "little" anymore either. I´ll be keeping at it though. After day 26 I was able to hold a wall handstand for a split second then I was forced down due to the combination of my own weight and loss of balance. Like I said, I´ll keep on trying in the next days to come!! Vielen herzlichen Dank! :-))
Hello Vic, thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I'm very happy to read that you were able to stay up for a few seconds. Handstands take time, be patient and also be proud of yourself for having come this far a comiting to a daily practice. I think learning also takes ages when we are 'little' but time didn't matter yet and everything felt like playing so we didn't notice the effort. All the best
This is going to take more practice. I'm still working on getting my first leg to touch the wall consistently. Your instruction is great but my body isn't cooperating just yet :-)
If you survive all the conditioning the final handstand should be just relaxing. ;) But seriously, persistence and patience are the key... While I could perform handstand at wall without any instructions rather quickly, it took me 2-3 years to get to an unsupported handstand (maybe for ten seconds at best). And in hindsight the exercises she is showing (or similar) are very important. Just leaning against the wall won't get you far. Plus, when your body "isn't cooperating", it's important to take rest (in my case, at nearly 40 years old, two days of recovery are often not enough - more like a week).
@@clray123 You are so right about persistence, patience and the importance of rest days. It's definitely a process. Natalie's instruction has made me stronger and I'm very pleased with that.
@@lp5644 thank you both for your contributions. It does take time, and different exercises are hard for different people. If you get stuck with this episode, go bak to the ones before and repeat them until you feel really confident and safe with everything. Then try doing this one again. All the best for your training, thanks for being here :)
@@NatalieReckert Thank you Natalie. I will do exactly what you suggest. The training is fun and challenging. I'll get it (I think) if I just stay with it. Slow and steady :-)
@@lp5644 Focus on improving the jump, the swing of the back and make sure you are not straightening the back. Maybe film yourself, that can reall help for understanding what is going on :)
Be great if there was a program how to sit at Ur desk for 10 hours a day doing work. All the videos related to desk workers are how to reset any "damage" done from doing too much sitting. A program to make it so u can sit all day with no fatigue and super focused would be great! PS I love Ur content and I'm curious if have any Christmas specials for Ur programs!!
That would be great. I think the solution would be to work less overall so you have time for nature and movement. Check my instagram or sign up to my mailing list for special offers and sales. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I am struggling, I have a fear to hurt myself. I have been following your videos for some time now and I have tried all your previous days of "Couch to Handstand" at least twice. I would always get stuck in putting both feet against a wall. Two days ago I managed to do a handstand against the wall when I was with my friends in a theater practice, I think their encouragement and support helped, and I could do it like like once every third time and I could hold it like 10-15 seconds, and I did it yesterday with friends and I still could do it, so I was excited that I could move on with your videos soon. But as I was following along I found it so difficult to put my both legs on the wall and I do not know why, I managed to stay against the wall once, and later on I stuck my head too much and bumped it to the wall(it wasn't that painful or anything) and after that I feel like I lost it, I am scared and don't know how to do it anymore... I am thinking it is probably a mental block, maybe I am more scared to do it at home, because I have less space here than in a theater or maybe both. Maybe it's just one day problem and I could do it tomorrow, but for now I am a bit sad, that I can not do it :( . Natalie, what would you recommend to defeat a mental block?
Hello, first of all well done for your determination :) you have been very persistent. That sounds like either a mental block or maybe you are doing something slightly different when you are by yourself. Just so we are talking about the same thing: when you say both feet up against the wall, do you mean with your back against the wall? Like doing the kick up and then closing the second leg? Or with your front against the wall like in the wall handstands we did. Most importantly stay safe and when you feel like you may hurt yourself, stop. Looking forward to your answer.
I feel so excited right now although I couldn't do the handstand. But I will surely do it one day. 😍😍 Here's a lots of lots of lots of thank you for providing with such content. I'm unable to kickup properly because of my hamstring flexibility I guess. I could do one foot straight touch today and I'm really excited about this. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Just a question: I always kicking up with my right leg. I was feeling a very little pain for few seconds on my right hand. Is this normal in the beginning? I'll surely let you know once I'm able to do a proper handstand on the wall. Till then I'll keep practicing. Take care. Stay safe ❤️❤️ thanks again.. ☺️☺️☺️
Thank you for your lovely words! You need to round your back as much as you can and join the second leg quickly. The two things have to happen together and fast. Then you can make it even with not great hamstring flexibility. Best wishes
Thank you Natalie.. I am able to kick and hold my handstand against the wall for 40secs 😂. Now which video of yours should i follow to hold my handstand without wall 😂.. Really excited to continue my journey 😂

I am still struggling to get my first leg high enough. I don’t know when it will be able to touch the wall. Today is day 26 and I am so excited that I have come this far. Thank you 🙏
Well done first of all for making it this far. don't give up! If you read through the comments you will find that you are not the only one who took longer to get this step. Repeat session 24 especially the swing and jump exercise, work on a strong jump, strong swing and most importantly round your back like your neighbours cat when she just saw the scarriest dog in her life! Take a break for some days and then come back to it and keep repeating the exercises, it will come :)
That sounds very good, thank you for following all the way until here. Keep rounding your back to help smoothen the transitions. Also bring your legs quickly back to the ground to land softly, don't fall in one piece :) Best wishes
Hello Natalie, I can kick up easily now but I know my techniques are not 100% correct yet. How can I "correctly" get my hips over my shoulders? A short tutorial on this point would be very helpful! Thanks so much Natalie!
Hello Quihan, I just saw this. If you have not found the answer already have a look at my kick up video ua-cam.com/video/wgcR-6xJvAw/v-deo.html The most common problem is caused by not rounding the back and sticking the ribs out as well as not keeping the shoulders above the wrists. Hope that helps, Hope you are well and best wishes
Hiya, I live in London, I am not very often in Berlin. I sometimes give workshops in Aschaffenburg at "The Gym". At the moment there are not workshops planned but there will be in the future at some point. Best
Hi Natalie! I'm not able to kick my legs to the wall or hold the L shape yet, I think my legs are not flexible enough or my upper body is not strong enough, any advice on how to improve this?
My guess is that your jump is not strong enough. Practice the swing and jump exercise a lot! Make sure that you are swinging the leg as much as possible so that it touches the wall and also film yourself to make sure that your shoulders are above the wrists and you are rounding your back and not leaving the chest behind.
I was so close to getting it today, but after going back and trying again and again I keep finding that my feet are bouncing off the wall and my legs are pulled back down to the ground. I tried not kicking off quite so hard but then my feet did not make contact. Any tips as to why this might be happening? Thank you?
Hello and good job for trying different methods! From what you say it sounds like it is a matter of practice! Instead of whacking the leg back, think of reaching up towards the ceiling with it, that can help directing the momentum better. also try to make the second leg join faster!
@@NatalieReckert Thank you, Natalie! It did get better almost immediately with the next day's practice, so you must be correct! Now i did it with all of this knowledgment and its ssssooooo different, it´s awesome!! thank you, can´t wait tomorrow to practice with the next video.
Thank you for your lovely words! You have put in all the work and that is something to be proud of! Best wishes
Oh my ggooooooodddd I did iittttt !!!
Yaaay!!! High five!! Well done!
I haven’t got it yet, I’m going to repeat this last week but I love how it’s been broken down and built up, it’s very good teaching
Thank you :) Go back to day 22 and repeat the classes if you are stuck with the kick-up. Make sure your shoulders are above the wrists and you are really rounding the back and really driving the first leg up strongly! I hope it goes well, Best
Hello,
That is so amazing!
@@hotblooded3401 Thank you! You guys here rock! Your comments make my day :)
👍👍
many I'm sure wish journey with you is never over
Great exersises, but I must repeat this lesson a few time more:):):) thank you Natalie a lot!!!!
Yes please do, stick with it for a bit until it starts to feel almost easy.
@@NatalieReckert Thank you :)!!
Best wishes
Thank you Natalie, I will keep that in mind. I will be patient, do my work and have fun.
Day 26 👍🏻👍🏻 I did it. Thank you Natalie!!!
Fabulous! Well done, keep up the good work!
@Natalie Reckert : Thank you so much for your kind reply! 🙂
Thanks I did it you are a great teacher❤️😊can you make videos step by step about middle split practice? ☺️
Thank you, well done for following the whole course. Will keep the split practice in mind.
This is going to take more practice. I'm still working on getting my first leg to touch the wall consistently. Your instruction is great but my body isn't cooperating just yet :-)
If you survive all the conditioning the final handstand should be just relaxing. ;)
But seriously, persistence and patience are the key...
@@NatalieReckert yes, I am talking about the time when my back is against the wall and bringing my second leg up when kicking up
I feel so excited right now although I couldn't do the handstand. But I will surely do it one day. 😍😍
Here's a lots of lots of lots of thank you for providing with such content.
I'm unable to kickup properly because of my hamstring flexibility I guess. I could do one foot straight touch today and I'm really excited about this. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just a question: I always kicking up with my right leg.

@@NatalieReckert thank you Natalie 😍
I am still struggling to get my first leg high enough. I don’t know when it will be able to touch the wall. Today is day 26 and I am so excited that I have come this far. Thank you 🙏
Well done first of all for making it this far. don't give up! If you read through the comments you will find that you are not the only one who took longer to get this step. Repeat session 24 especially the swing and jump exercise, work on a strong jump, strong swing and most importantly round your back like your neighbours cat when she just saw the scarriest dog in her life! Take a break for some days and then come back to it and keep repeating the exercises, it will come :)
@@NatalieReckert thank you so much ❤️
I did it!!! Wow haha thanks Natalie!
Fabulous! Be proud of yourself, it is not easy!
Great help. Thanks a lot.. now i can do kick ups. But my take off and landing is not really properly executed. I need to practice.. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
That sounds very good, thank you for following all the way until here. Keep rounding your back to help smoothen the transitions. Also bring your legs quickly back to the ground to land softly, don't fall in one piece :) Best wishes
Noted. Thank you very much☺️☺️
Hello Natalie, I can kick up easily now but I know my techniques are not 100% correct yet. How can I "correctly" get my hips over my shoulders? A short tutorial on this point would be very helpful! Thanks so much Natalie!
Hello Quihan, I just saw this. If you have not found the answer already have a look at my kick up video ua-cam.com/video/wgcR-6xJvAw/v-deo.html
The most common problem is caused by not rounding the back and sticking the ribs out as well as not keeping the shoulders above the wrists.
Hope that helps, Hope you are well and best wishes
Hi Nathalie, do you give presencial classes in Berlin? Many greetings from a fan of your work!
Hiya, I live in London, I am not very often in Berlin. I sometimes give workshops in Aschaffenburg at "The Gym". At the moment there are not workshops planned but there will be in the future at some point. Best
Natalie, I am on the air!! 😍
Welcome to space! This is your captain speaking from your weightless inversion zone :) congratulations for your hard work!
@@NatalieReckert Ho Captain, YES Captain!!!
People who have done this program who are runners are they faster? I bet very much yes!
To inhale the top third of Ur rib cage u have to raise Ur shoulders and hand stand practice u do this a lot.
I think there are some here who were runners.
@@NatalieReckert I'll keep practicing, thank you so much!
I have since finished the series and have been working on your pushup program while trying to maintain what I achieved in your handstand program. I'm loving it and look forward to purchasing your vimeo handstand program after Santa brings me the funds ;)
Thank you for everything you do!
Day- 26✅. But I couldn't make it. Now I'm just touching the wall. And I can't support with my right leg. So left one is my shield leg . 😆
I see that you made it till the end but just quickly: You need to close the second leg sharply!
@@NatalieReckert yes I did it. Natalie. Luv euh ❤️
Yesterday I wasn't able to do the handstand. I felt really upset and down after reading the comments of those who did managed to do it.
BUTTTT!!!
I didn't gave up.

I DID IT TODAY.
Keep trying and trying and I'm sure you also can do it.

Thanks a lot Natalie❤
Fabulous! I am very happy to hear you managed! Determination carries you far. Best wishes
I tried, some success. But a couple times I did not totally commit and collapsed.
Oh... keep your elbows straight! Try doing some more of the strength exercises, then maybe rest a few days and try again. Strength builds slowly but steadily! Don't give up :)
I can't keep my leg straight
I fall down right after my both legs go up☹️
I did it today:)
Not perfectly but I did it anyway☺️
Thank you Natalie💙
@@beyondhumas5668 Well done for trying it again. Congratulations for your determination! Practice does it. Keep going back to what makes the kick-up a success. The swing and jump, rounding the back, really using the toes. Here is another video which may help: Kick ups

I didn’t make it today. I need to repeat this lesson until I get it. You do it effortlessly but I seem to have to kick very hard. My heart rate goes up and I can’t keep up with your rate of repetitions. I think there must be something I’m missing but I’ve followed the lessons up to this point even getting one foot to touch the wall. Oh well I think I’ll catch up soon.
Hiya, go slower if you find it too exhausting. Make sure your shoulders are above the wrists and that you are rounding your back, keep your back leg straight and do additional jumping exercises to ensure you have a strong jump. This here may also help you: ua-cam.com/video/wgcR-6xJvAw/v-deo.html
Natalie Reckert Thank you Natalie for your advice. I will keep trying.
Anyone else embarrassed about how ridiculously stiff their legs are? I just can't keep me legs at 90° angle while lying down. Left leg worse than right!
