It made sense as I have a pulsar but I would have started with a bore sight at a closer range

Yes, boresight at closer range saves you abit of ammo and is a good proven method.

    Love my thermion,
I use a clout nail in paper, I warm the point of the nail then push it through the paper, shoot at the nail, then use a second nail at poi, then just adjust your zero.
Works a treat on thermal scopes,
I use a plumbers gas torch to heat the nails.
And a larger head clout nail,

    Nice video!
What mount you recommend if I want to move scope from rifle to rifle?

    • @stefanorman6590
      @stefanorman6590 Рік тому

Well that's always a difficult one.
Alot of different manufacturers of picatinny rails will have slightly different measurements on their picatinny rails, and therefore the pressure of the qd mounts might not grip tightly enough on one. And then the they need to be adjusted from rail to rail. But as far as for quality mounts I'd go Spuhr mounts every day of the week.

Hi, I have a Thermion 2 LRF XL50 and are using the ballistic feature of this unit. Unfortunately, the colour of the ballisitic reticule is light purple. It is extremely difficult to see. Do you know if there is a setting in the menu that I can change the colour to yellow. The purple colour is driving me insane.

Hello! SPOA colour varies depending on the palette. For the first two SPOA: red colour on black and white palettes, blue - on colour palettes. For the third SPOA : the line colour is the same as the reticle colour, the central cross is red on black and white palettes, blue - on colour palettes.

@@PulsarVision As a owner and user I find this is an important issue. Take the scope on a rifle and go hunting with it and you will see what I mean. Purple or Blue colour is totally the wrong choice. It's obvious nobody from the R&D department have actually tested this out in the field. Paying such a high price for this scope I would expect this to be a user defined option. I hope PulsarVision takes the time to listen to actual users to better their products.

How long will a scope like that last ?

How are you getting on with it. Im sorry i paid the money. The picture is nowhere near its advertised quality. And the operation is clunky.

I use the Ballistic feature all the time. It automatically opens the Picture-in-picture.My biggest issue is the Picture-in-picture feature itself. I don't use it and I can't switch it off by default. It drives me nuts. It takes 9seconds to turn off manually or the same time if the scope does it. By that time my prey has run off. I think Pulsar don't talk to hunters and find out what they really need.
Do I regret buying it????Yes. It is not cheap. Would I recommend it?? No. For the money my expections have not been met. Unless Pulsar lifts their game and listens to users than it's not worth it. Look for something else.

So basically the scope will range it for you but it's up to the person to compensate where to hold for the different yardages? I was thinking id zero It at 100 and 300 and i could get it to auto adjust after ranging. Can't find any videos on this
