Thanks for the tutorial. Nice tips.
Some more from the same, not so known:
    Distribute space horizontally = shift+p • Distribute space vertically= shift+a
To get the colors from a image to the pallete, just DRAG the image to the pallete.
you can even choose how many colors to add.

This seems so much more accessible than other illustrative tools

.....to each their own software preferences. I have used both - Corel DRAW! from 1995 and Adobe Illustrator from 2000...Illustrator seems stricter about what the purpose of the program is (something that i enthusiastically support)....i notice that Corel DRAW! is now adding some tricks from Adobe Illustrator (the math input), but still feels like a more general layout and illustration app.
Corel DRAW! and Adobe Illustrator are the oldest rivals in the business and are unique in their toolsets (for example, being the only two with gradient mesh tools). Corel Draw has some novel features (tints and shades, parent and child colours for example) which were somewhat copied by Adobe later, but I personally prefer Illustrator. Corel DRAW! is a welcome addition to the Macintosh - well done!!

@@jabulaniharvey Math in Corel comes from Illustrator? are you kidding me? Its in Corel from version 8 or even 4...
Almost everything you see in Illustrator, you will find it in Corel 3-5 versions before.
The huge difference of those 2 programs is that Corel is simple. quick to do stuff with it. Illustrator is clumsy.
Take the align & distribute for example. the marvelous shortcuts: b=bottom, t=top, c=center and so on, its all made for simplicity.
LOVE COREL for 16 years and counting :)

@@natannnn12 the word and idea of "simple" requires elaboration....example customizable keyboard shortcuts are simple to use once you understand the concept of reducing labour through this method....Corel concepts are just different from Adobe concepts at a fundamental level....hence my phrase to each his/her own software preferences. unfortunately this platform is too constrained to go through the differences in concept between the apps...but I would love to discuss further....ciao!

@@natannnn12 you make good points....I may not have mentioned that I am a pluralist (pursuing good levels of competence in all competing apps and aiming to understand the conceptual motivations that made the software engineers pursue the implementations that they have)....my attraction to Adobe has plenty to do with me resonating with their thinking AND their implementation
