- The New Balance "Refined Future" treatment returned recently on four pairs of the 1906R silhouette. Featuring that recognizable torn-up upper look, this "Castlerock" colourway opts for various shades of grey on the upper, contrasted against a cream coloured Abzorb midsole. For me these work way better than the 2002R, the lines flow much better and it feels more geometric and less "cutting felt in art class"

This color and silhouette was a no brainer! Always bet on grey. Mine coming today. Can’t wait to get my feets in them.
I might actually prefer this model of the protection pack! I like the light colored one with the black midsole the most.
Same that Dove color with black sole is leading the pack.
Love these a lot, can’t wait to add these in the rotation. This colorway gotta be the best outta the pack imo. Although I wish the grey was lighter like a Raincloud grey, I’m not mad at this dark grey. Very very wearable, I def won’t be sleeping on this release

Love the other CWs but I realized I don't own a single black NB sneaker 🤣 Really glad they went with making a protection pack for the 1906 model. I dig the silhouette, but I wasn't a huge fan of all the synthetic materials and mesh the other GRs and Thiswasneverthat collab had
I picked up the turtle dove colorway and I love them bro! I have tons of NB but the 2002r is still my go to, especially the Lunar New Years I just picked up!
I really wanted the Turtledoves but they sold out fast. So I settled for the Castelrocks. Pretty excited to get these in hands after watching your review. These will be my first pair of New Balances ever lol.

The silhouette of the 2002r fits the distressed look better imo. But these are a nice addition to the 2002R rain clouds!

I’ve got the 2002R Rain Cloud’s, so I’m thinking about whether I want these or not. They’re pretty similar, but I’d go for the darker colorway for sure. Really nice
These just dropped 2 weeks ago in Malaysia and I managed to cop a pair as it wasn't really selling out. In fact there might still be pairs sitting. Anyways I love the materials and design on this pair, even more than the 2002R

Bonjour Sean. Merci pour cette belle vidéo. J'ai pris le black CW, le white CW et aussi le Castlerock. Pour moi aussi, celle-ci est la plus jolie. Je suis d'accord en comparaison avec la 2002R je trouve que celle-ci est plus roomy (pour chacune des 3 paires que j'ai prises).
Il y a des chances que NB nous propose des colorways extraordinaires sur ce modèle cette année ✌🏻🍀☀️

I copped a pair they are really comfortable straight out the box no break it required, they fit true to size, I had a little piece of loose swede fabric still on my pair left after cutting no big deal, great sneaker still, what kind of pants did you have on in the on foot portion of the video

I sold my 2002r because the toe box seemed too boxy and wide. Are these more narrow at the toe than the rain cloud? Loved the protection just didn’t love the toe width. 😢
my family and i follow this superstition where we don't buy anything on the first day of the new year so we don't get bad spending habits for the rest of the year, and that's the only reason i didn't pick these up.

Sean I’m hearing this model is more comfy than 2202R (not sure how same midsole); however, the toe box is more narrow so could benefit from .5 up and from your review it seems that I can go tts I like to think my feet are also slightly on the wider side. 😊 my favorite is turtle dove with black midsole.
Normal 1906R maybe fit SLIGHTLY more
Snug than 2002R? But it wasn’t that noticeable to me. But these run bigger than the normal 1906R I found. Tts is good I’d say.

2002r come laced very tight, loosening the laces entirely makes it fit normally
