I grew up in Mpls and moved out of state years ago. I find myself wanting to return. But maybe Duluth instead of Mpls. Thanks for the tour. Duluth is really a gem of the midwest.

I remember shopping in Goldfines when we lived there. It was a department store kind of like Herbergers used to be, but was very popular at the time we lived in Duluth.
Not to shabby. This is the meat and potato's section of Duluth. Working class. My kind of people. It's a tired section of town, but it is definitely rising up and It's going to keep doing so. Duluth overall is getting fixed up and cleaned up by the day. It is one of the most beautiful places in the country in the summer time. More jobs are being created which has been sorely needed for years. I've spent most my 58 years there and really love what I now see.
Duluth is making good steps towards cleaning things up and dialing things in. It’s an old-school community and town but there’s a lot of new modern things happening. I really like the vibe here. The winter weather though, that’s another story.👍
Jade fountain was the place my ol lades and I went for our first anniversary. It was nice. That was like twenty years ago mind you.
This was home,my place was overlooked the harbor and lift bridge. In the winter we raced cars on the inner harbor.

Goldfines was on Garfield I believe, and was called Goldfines by the bridge. They had everything in that store. Good blue collar type store.
Had family living in west Duluth

Pretty sure the Jade Fountain had been closed for a few years when this vid was taken even. He is right though, Sammys is the best for pizza in Duluth.

Hubby and I loved Gannucci's. Then when we tried to go when in town they were closed. Then closed again. I googled it and found they had a liquidation sale and were closed for good. Googled later to see why they closed only to find the owner was arrested for child s*x crimes, one victim a family member! 😳 So they are not opened anymore!
Every time I go over there, it’s something new. Gentrification is real 😂
