Did anyone else pick up on the fact that Hisao has so many more heart problems in Lilly's route than any other because they drink wine so many damn times? Even though he's only drunk at Hanako's party, I'm pretty sure any level of alcohol can interfere with the effects of 15 different medications that are supposed to regulate one's heart.
actually...being drunk does the opposite of rising your heart rate, since you are in a constant state of relaxation,...specially with wine, in fact, many cardiologist recomend a glass of wine with your meal
Being a 24 man with heart problems i can say that your both somewhat right. Most heart meds can function fine with wine 'mostly just red wines tho'. But for me with weak values and low pressure all alcohol is off limits as with a majority of other substances and activities i used to love...
Also i think most people like me take 1 or 2 for the heart meds the rest are for side effects which can be downright insufferable in an on themselves
But you get to live on and enjoy life
Takunrsx not true if you consider the interactions between medicine and alcohol. Most medications will state 'do not cosume alcohol' due to adverse effects
NobaDragoon U right, but I realised that every time Hisao drinks, he does not takes his medicine! At Hanako's party he was to drunk to go to his room, so he was unable to take his night portion.
And when they were drinking again, he admitted after his heart atrack that he yet again forgot to take his medicine.
So, basically his constant heart problems are not the effect of mixing alcohol and medicine. I'd rather say it's because he's having sex with Lilly more often than with any other girl. It's just too much for him to handle. Not to mention the fact that Lilly knows her shit quite well when it comes to bedplay...

This sums up exactly why I loved Lilly's route. Hisao ran for that shit, and he risked his life in the process for him to fail, and that music box. THAT. FUCKING. MUSIC. BOX. I felt it all at that end. And Jesus Crust.

i was my favorite too, speciallly when she tells she's leaving, had to stop playing and i was all night wondering if that was going too end well, and when i heard the box...OMG THE FEELS¡¡¡

The sequel: Hisao and Lilly decide to get married. Kenji organizes a MANLY bachelor party for Hisao in Edinburgh, inviting Hideaki and Akira (not realizing she's a woman).
They eventually wake up in a hotel room, remembering nothing of the past night and with Akira missing; the three set out to look for her.
I actually thought about writing a fanfic with a very similar scenario. I shit you not.
jayive34 I'd love to read that. On a second thought, perhaps that applies better to Shizune's route where Hisao and Kenji are better friends and Jigoro comes into the equation. :P

I've never cried so much with any piece of media, Katawa Shoujo is just something unique, Lily's route is such a rollercoaster of emotions
that ending is hollywood af, but we don't care. It just feels so right.

Completed the game recently. This ending got me so hard the first time, I got misty eyed af. Her good ending was what I got on my first playthrough. I still tear up at the music box everytime. Lilly is truly Best Girl.

Its been 9 years. 9 long years since I last watched this. I was watching ep 7 of Cowboy Bebop rn and suddenly remembered this animation. Thank you man for creating this. It was a blast from the past for sure and I just couldn't stop myself from tearing up watching this right now
The serious note among the parody aspects makes this one an authentic instafeel. Hence why it stands out.
I wish you'd incorporate that flair to all routes.

It was 2021. I only found out about this novel three days ago, and what a coincidence that the first ruth I chose was Lilly. And the irony is that I subconsciously knew that the ending would be good. But I kept shedding tears thinking that there wouldn't be a good ending, and it was only yesterday that I walked away from the ending that made me cry I find THIS, IN 2021. And I cry again, and no, this is not an angry comment, but rather a praise for the author..... For reminding me how beautiful this novel is and how strong emotions can be felt.(thanks to the Author)

Лично у меня путь Лилли вызвал много личных воспоминаний со своим лучшим другом со школы, будто я вернулся вновь в 7-ой класс. И концовка... мной она воспринималась не иначе как через призму собственного опыта и вызвало намного больше эмоций чем за всë то время, что я потратил на прочтение ветки Лилли

I haven't read KS for like two years, and yet...the feels...THE FEELS!!
First playthrough was to be my only one, having achieved what turned out to be the Emi good ending. It felt perfect. Trying another route felt so wrong. Strangely like cheating on Emi. But eventually I went for Lilly, my intended first playthrough 'target'. There is now no way I could ever try a different arc.
Lilly's good ending is the most fulfulling game/movie/book ending............ever. As readers we could imagine what happened later, so I allowed myself to plot out, as unlikely as it was logistically, Hisao and Lilly both eventually teaching at Yamaku and one day having a little family of their own. Cliched, but wonderful.
She is cemented on my heart.
Steveypoos After the Lilly route I did the Emi route, and not once could i take it seriously, in the back of my mind the entire time the only thing I could think was, there is no other story that could possibly comprehend the absolute emotional perfection of Lilly and Hisao ending up together.

Lilly was the final route I took and she will always be my favorite. I love them all in my own way but Lilly will always have a special place in my heart. The feels I got from this game put me into what therapists would call a deep depression but I call it a funk. I hope I find my Lilly one day but until then I must remain vigilant and look for the beauty in life as should all of you.

wooow I was expecting a funny clip like the others, but I almost cried with this. Awesome. The first time I played the game I got Lilly's path and the good ending, sooo beautiful and I'm so happy. I played the rest of the routes (with cheats this time) except for Rin's (that I'm playing now) but for me it was the best story and the best katawa girl :)

lily is perhaps the most touching route, but it's pretty clear that hisao will die sooner with her than the others

I mean Arrthymia doesn't really shorten lifespan, especially since once he's 21 he would most likely be fitted with a pacemaker, or having shock therapy to correct it, and then he would live a normal lifespan, the only way it would kill him is if he tries to ignore it, but that's just not something Lilly would allow.

As I grow older, I learn that Lilly truly is wonderful. 6 years doesn't seem long. But think back to how old this song is and you will quickly realized just how quick time flies by.
Perhaps some Kentucky Gentleman and some Wild Turkey 101 has inspired me to write this but... maybe it's because I have a soft spot for another woman....

Its an epilogue with more scenes with Hisao and Lilly after he gets out of the hospital. It closes the arc beautifully, if you skipped it go back and play it.
