Nice guide mate :)
What is the purpose of the 2 hole settings on the rear bar and which one should be used?
Its for 2 different stiffness settings, furthest hole out is softest setting, hole furthest in is the hardest.
won't the rear dominate the front now, isn't the front too soft now? From 21 mm rear to 24 mm rear is quite a big stiffer.
Personally I find with the bar set on the stiffest setting is gives nice controlled lift off over steer.
Would you change both front and rear sway bars or just the rear one?
most tend to do just the rear one as its cheap to buy, easy to install and when set on hard gives nice controlled lift off oversteer. The front not that many people do as its much more labour intensive - have to drop the front subframe down which is a bit of a pain if don't have car up in the air on a hoist. Id say the ratio of what we get asked to install by customers is 80% have just the rear only 20% do both and that 20% is usually people that spend a lot of time at the track
Is it fit volvo v50?
its not listed as a part to fit by Whiteline but looking at images of the factory rear sway bar online, dont see why it wouldnt fit. Would just have to change the sway bar links over at the same time. Send us an email with image of your factory bar and should be able to confirm 100% for you. info@oemdenied.com
FYI to anyone that's researching this, any rear sway bar made for the MK2 Focus(NOT RS), P1 Volvo (C30, S40, V50, C70) or Mazda speed 3/MPS (BK & BL models) will fit any of the others. I have a Corksport rear sway bar for a Mazdaspeed 3 on my Volvo C30, fitted with no problems.
