Nice review!
Have you tried the “Sonic Port” by “Line 6”?
Thanks my friend. I haven't tried the Sonic Port but know many folks who use this and really like it. Here's a video where I go through all the different interfaces I have used which you may find interesting. ua-cam.com/video/7QOXjfB1ExM/v-deo.html
Hello Pete, maybe do a comparison between the Shure MVi vs the irig pro i/o
Hey Mike. Definitely looking to check out one of the higher end iRig interfaces. Don’t know much about he MVi - will have to take a look at it online. Have you tried it out?
No I havent, still using irig 2 and ipad mini 2, waiting till June to see if they upgrade the ipad pro, the pro supports USB 3.0 the digital interface should be smooth with the 3.0
Nice one. Yeah, there’s benefits and risks to upgrading gear. Sometimes it’s better to keep making music with what you know rather than spending time getting new gear to play nicely. I SAY that..... but do I always follow it?? 😄
I have an iRig Pro that I use with my iPhone and iPad. I use a Scarlet Solo with my Mac.
Nice! How do you find the iRig Pro? I’ve heard good things.
I love it. If only it came with some talent!
Haha! We need to invent an auto tune equivalent for guitar. Auto-shred?
Hey Pete how do I connect 2 guitars to a single iPad without having to buy the irig HD duo which is really expensive. Can I use a audio hub to have multiple 3.5 mm jacks and have and 2 irigs connected to the hub and have 2 guitars play and record from the same iPad?
Hey there. You’re best bet is a 2 channel interface. Or you can find a cheap mixer to combine multiple inputs. You won’t get great control or quality however.
I wear hearing aids that are blue tooth would I be able to hear my music through them with the irig or any suggestions?? Thanks
Hey there. You can use Bluetooth to monitor audio but it really isn't ideal due to the latency, which is why wired headphones are always preferred. You'd also need to try to set input to the iRig and output to the bluetooth which isn't always possible.
How do I use my iRig but instead of earphones, I plugg it into a speaker/ampli? I am having so much trouble figuring it out. :((
Hey there. It depends on your speakers or amp and what the inputs are. Most will either be RCA (the standard red and white plugs) or 1/4” (6.35mm) if they are monitor speakers.
So what you need is a 3.5mm stereo to 2 x RCA or 2 x 1/4” jacks. You can pick these cables up at most electronics stores or on Amazon and you should be good to go.
