This was my gateway song to GOJIRA . Instantly hooked , i never stood a chance . The simple beauty of their music , played with surgical precision , driven by one of the best metal drummer of all time , the lot wrapped in one of the most powerful and soulful voices in metal . This Band is exceptional !! HAIL THE MIGHTY GOJIRA !!!

Joanna Wooden There is not 1 of their songs I dislike, which is extremely amazing. Even Metallica which is an awesome band I don’t dig some of their songs but Gojira, all their songs are amazing.

Amebix was the original crust punk band from the early 80's, while CSE just are criminally unknown. Really.
@@Coynkydynk I've been a huge Amebix fan since the 80's. Your comparison to Gojira kinda surprised me, but "The Messenger" off of Sonic Mass probably would appeal to Gojira fans. The No Sancuary EP is my favorite, I played that shit for people in the 80's and it scared them! There was very little music out there back then that was that heavy and aggressive.
Ethan Walker Thanx for the correction, I meant The Messenger (off Sonic Mass). Yeah, those guys were getting the anger & frustration out alright, and I'm not sure the plebs of today are much better prepared...even if they've seen/heard the 3-4 times diluted down echoes of it in the form of breakthrough acts like Slipknot, Korn and whatnot (no comparison at all of course - only as examples of what would be considered angry music).
Perhaps Killing Joke wouldn't be a too farfetched comparison, both politically and vocal powerly at times. I like their old albums, but like Amebix I think they struck gold coming back, with Pylon.
For powerful vocals, "I am the virus" is a good track.

I wonder why do they always rush the first notes of the riff in the intro when they play this live. Knowing they are sound so precise and tight, I wonder if they do this on purpose. Amazing song btw, and the outro is so beautiful.
The first one or two sound more the normal speed but then they totally get faster, pretty weird

@@paulatreides1354mixed badly only for the live transmission because the mixing console of the concert and the transmission are individual, I was there and the sound of the concert was incredible, the only negative point is that the volume was lower than normal compared to other editions of Rock in Rio, but the sound quality was amazing I swear!
