This is Christmas 1990. I remember this clearly because I came home from a party to watch this drunk off my ass and it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen.
He cut off that "R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas" song right before Jon Bon Jovi came in with his first ever professionally recorded vocal. His brother Tony was co-producer of the album.
Heino haha. I finally figured out what and or who Beck was referring to was his first record all those years ago when he debuted on MTVs Headbangers Ball with Thurston Moore!! Heino!! Funniest best interview ever .
At last I have proof that Dave Letterman is, in fact, a time traveler. If you look at the video segment at ua-cam.com/video/dKeQtdKKZ1o/v-deo.html you can clearly see the embittered hermit Luke Skywalker hunched in front of the fireplace while C-3PO looks on nearby. This episode is almost 30 years old, yet we have photographic proof that they knew of TFA and TLJ roughly about the time that J.J. Abrams was finishing college! Time travel, ladies and gentlemen!
30 years later and I'm still watching Dave
My parents had that Ponderosa album. It's worse than you can possibly imagine.
Laughin hard on that one
Late Night with David Letterman was the main reason I didn’t get much sleep in high school
same man. and conan
I had to play New Kids On The Block's "Funky Funky Christmas" on the radio! "Kick the ballistics, Santa Claus!"
I play this every Christmas now. It’s just hilarious!

You’d have to be drunk off your ass to think this is funny
You left a party just to come home and watch this?
Stuff like this is why I got very little sleep in high school. Classic Late Night, love it!
gotta love Dave's record collection !
Some of his best skits have been the ones that sank like rocks
+Taumpy Tears A poor audience reaction always got under his skin and made it funnier.
Cranky Dave was always the funniest Dave.
Do you think he'd ever imagine how much a copy of that Stars Wars Christmas LP is NOW? That one is a real collector's item.
About $22.00
lololol

They kept cutting to the monster bassist Francisco Centeno....and, for some reason, it made me laugh my ass off. That’s why they made the big bucks.
He seemed to be having a great time!
haha...Dave was always great when the material tanked and he starts badmouthing his own talent...hysterical
Dave was at his best when annoyed by everything and everybody
These are the albumns I'd listen to high an laff all nite long
"Mommy, I'm scared!"

The bass player with the prison sport called is Francisco Centeno. Now I know.
Thank you I was wondering who that was
Shout-out to WXII Channel 12 from Winston-Salem, NC
Thanks for posting it!
Thanks!
Genius
Dave sure could be irritable. Oh, and Christmas With Colonel Sanders is actually a pretty nice album.
It's concerning to me that so many people know when the New Kids Christmas album came out.
This can't be from the mid-80s...the New Kids Christmas cd is from 1989.
They have to find tapes of David Letterman and show them on cable
4:49 - Colonel Sanders' voice is SUPERB! :) (wtf?)
It says it's from the mid-1980s. But it's actually from 1990.
You are correct, sir.
Lorne (Lyon Himan) Greene and Michael Landon (Eugene Maurice Orowitz) trimming the Christmas tree? Yeah, right.
@shnooger anything earlier than 2002 is mid-80s to me, dog.
Dave was at his absolute best when he stopped giving a shit.
back when he was actually still funny

To dam funny
at least late-80s, possibly early 90s (not mid-1980s)
Angry Dave!
R2D2? Too bad there isn't a Dalek Christmas album.
Dementia is now known as an advertiser on UA-cam.
Yikes. Dave seemed a little perturbed.
@peoplebusinessmovie haha...oic
New kids on the block was NOT mid 80s.
wow, that was horrible
