When someone who spends upwards of 100 nights a year in Hiltons, such as Alex has done, is willing to share what they learn, it's much appreciated. I'm a long-time Diamond, but your videos reminded me of a few things I'd forgotten. - thanks for sharing your experience Alex-
Thanks so much for your feedback! Highly appreciating it! Sometimes I need to remind myself of what is possible in terms of point collection. :-) That's what I actually love about Hilton: there are sooo many possibilities to collect points and it's a lot of fun redeeming them.
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback! I will do for sure an update soon. Some information will be the same, some others might be new. Stay tuned! :-)
Love the video as always. Enjoying sharing your journey. Usa is very lucky. Sadly don't get a lot of them benefits in UK(Scotland) but I do the rest. Aspire card would be great. But hey ho. Be great to hear more around impresario. That Tip was the only new thing to me. Thanks and happy traveling. Sitting in Bucharest just now but sadly not a Hilton due to booking a BA Holiday.
Thanks for your nice comment! Fully agree, that there are no nice cards in Europe. I'll make a detailed video on the Impresario program - that's a good hint. I guess many people came across the Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts program, but not so many heard of Impresario. That's even a nice way to get Diamond benefits even without status. Enjoy your travels! Bucharest is always nice - the HGI in downtown is my favorite location. The Hilton will leave the brand anyway in January and the DoubleTree is closed for some time now. The HGI had a great location and the price is fantastic. Even booked once the high end 2 storey suite for 120 € - I'll make a video of that some day. :-D
Great overview for all the point collectors (and spenders) among us. The Aspire Card is a cool one, not cheap but worth it, and for Europeans hard, almost impossible to get. On the other hand, such cards lead in their countries to a massive inflation of diamond members, nothing exclusive anymore, and the results can be seen, no free breakfast in the US anymore, just a worthless voucher. Imagine, the Aspire would be available in Europe too, it wouldn't take long and the Diamond Perks would vanish along the time.
Thanks for the feedback. Nothing is impossible ;-), but I agree, that's it's rather hard to get the Aspire in Europe. The Aspire card has awesome benefits. The only benefit, which wouldn't be necessary, in my opinion, is diamond status. If they reduced that to gold, it would be perfectly enough and the other benefits would still be of huge value without creating an inflation of high status travelers.
I'm a corporate traveler and got the aspire card. Best decision I've ever made. The default diamond status is worth it. I've been racking up points faster ever since
That's a perfect match - a corporate traveler racking up points for leisure trips :-) And despite of people constantly talking negatively about upgrades in the US: just did a 20 day trip around the US and got upgrades almost everywhere without even asking. This card is a no-brainer for frequent-Hilton-travelers :-) Enjoy your trips and your card!
BUYING POINTS is something special. Most of the time the buying ratio is 100USD for 10k point (really not good). 3-4x times a year there are these better ratios you mentioned. Maybe you could give some kind of "Breaking news" video. Another hint would be to have 2-3x accounts ready, longer than 3 months active, so that you can buy points. You are limited to buy 160k+160k points at one time. So if you need more points for some high-end hotels, you need to buy with the other accounts as well and transfer them to the main account. I hope I made no mistake with the numbers.
I agree on "3-4x times a year" you get promotions, although those promotions are valid for like 2 months. So you almost always get those, but ok... I also had times when I wanted to buy points and when there was no promotion exactly in that moment. The 160k+160k hint is also important. Made the mistake this year to buy 80k+80k during a promotion period, as there was no 160k+160k available and I'm blocked for the rest of the year anyway from buying more points. I like the idea of "breaking news" short videos on current promotions.
Thanks for the video, I didn’t know you had the aspire card. I have review it in my channel too because I love it so much ❤ Please tell us more about empresario. I though that Hilton doesn’t apply any points if you don’t book directly with the hotel.
On the Aspire Card: Where there's a will, there is a way. ;-) It's a great card and with the amount of travel we do, it was a must to find a way. I'll do a video on the Impresario program. It's quite similar to the Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, but differs slightly and is basically available to everyone - not only to Amex card holders. Thanks for the feedback!
You get 1000 points per stay for being diamond - so the more often you check out and move to another place, the more points you get. The current promotion gives you additional 2000 points per stay if you check out in a weekday (Mo-Fr). So 3000 points for switching the hotel (=$15). There are places where hotels are next to each other and the effort to change back and forth is close to 0.

Why swtich hotels? What's the benefit
