I wrote the same message when we lost against Man Utd 3 weeks ago. This match was very similar. Total domination with many chances lost and a 2-2 draw at the 90 minutes mark.Yes, a fit Jota especially the way he was playing this season would have seen us through today and 3 weeks ago too.

After Szoboszlai was replaced, our pressing game collapsed and MU almost won the game. That's why he is the starter.

@@zoltanobru9274 you can praise Dom without talking down on Harvey. He's still a great midfielder and brings significantly more energy than 99% of our team. With Trent gone, Harvey's the only player on the right side actively trying to send balls up the field. Can't blame him for our front three doing nothing all game.

One gave an assist and the other one scored, it's true they missed some good chances but what about that pass from quansah?? And the goalkeeper what was he doing there? Talk about the poor defending as well and lack of attention, those mistakes are not allowed when the league is so tight, especially because you are up there with man city and arsenal. Losing 2 points is like losing 3. You can't only blame forwards when the team made a huge defensive mistake when the match was so well controlled.

How Szoboszlai is getting so much hate after that performance when he gave 4-5 great chances to Nunez and Salah who are both absolute rubbish. Best player on the pitch by far.

Jota being hurt is why I believe we will fall short in this final run of games. We know the role of VAR, injuries, and missed opportunities from earlier in the season, but we won't finish off the title challenge because we struggle to FINISH. That's Jota's biggest attribute, and we are missing it with ALL our forwards right now.

It's unbelievable that Liverpool had 85 shots on goal against MU in 3 games and they didn't win a single one. Even today, they copied what happened in the last game. Klopp is a good coach, but he will not be a star coach because he cannot see the forest through the trees. He doesn't see that Salah, who has been out of form for months, or the trio of Nunez and Diaz, will lose the first place, because it's not the midfield that doesn't work, it's not the defense, it's the incompetence and selfishness of the strikers, they're simply not team players. Even today, according to the statistics, Dominik is 5!! he had a key pass in the attacking third, which could have been a goal pass, but the strikers kicked it all to the side. The goalkeeper made a serious save, blocking Dominik's shot with a barbell. He initiated most of the attacks and gave the passes, yet Kloop replaced him with a very energized and recovering Jones, and did not bring Gomez into the middle. As long as Salah and Nunez are favorites with such poor performances, Pool will never be champions. I feel sorry for Szobit because he played very well today.

One of the most dominant performances of the midfield this season till taking off Szobo. He was the best player on the pitch and created most of the chances, most of the attack went through him. MU midfield looks like League one team. If we have at least one of the front three has a good day this is a walk in a park win. The substitutions killed our game this time. It is tempting to make changes when we have a strong bench, but breaking up a perfect system just because we need to make changes at 60 minutes? If Klop had kept the midfield and swapped Salah to Eliot we would have turned this around.
The lack of effectiveness of our forwards is incredible. Same as the previous game against United. The team does everything well... except finish scoring opportunities. It's very frustrating.

At the very least he scored a big penalty under huge pressure but we all know what he can do and he’s definitely playing below par.

Salah missed about 7 clear cut chances; Nunez had one but also got the assist for Diaz. His overall game was good, that’s why the fans defend him.
Nunez is really no good when he has time to think, probably a bit worse than when he has no time to think. I’ve no time for his ú and ñ any more, he’s not worth the effort.
Darwin saved liverpool like 5 times this season.Think about the games liverpool won because of his goals and you will find out why. He was not good today except for that assist, his decisions are really poor sometimes, especially when he has time to think about what to do.

The game went much better until Szobo and Endo were on the field. The substitutions only threw the game back. The goal is scored when the substitutions have been made. Jones was very weak. If they brought Elliot instead of Salah, it would have been better. They would have played well with Szobo.
yea true, United scored 3 last time now 2 after Dom was taken off. Cause Klopp clearly saw they were off the rhythm by working so much, but Jones and Elliot are not the same quality. Klopp wanted to win by energizing the midfield, the game would have ended a draw, but this way it ended a draw anyway cause to win you must not concede goals.
Szobo has the best stamina in the squad... It's so frustrating that we don't use his energy for the whole game. Jones was dying in the last minutes even tho he subbed Dom.
@@dosvidaniya7309 This automatic substitution of him is a big mistake of Klopp. He used to have very strong finishes in games when he played full, he has the stamina to run for 90 min when the opposition is leggy and the creativity to come up with something. Huge mistake to substitute him in both MU games cost us too much. Maybe a title and a cup?

And not starting Konate was a mistake. since Klopp needs to be more humble about boasting with kids over the traditional teams when we have available players. Very few players did themselves justice again today. Diaz MOTM and MacAllister brilliant again. To be fair i thought Elliott was the best of the subs... Wanted the ball, passed the ball, brought much needed energy and won the pen.
I said months ago that Nunez will cost us the title, I haven't changed my mind, but now include Salah as well. We require a quality natural finisher. Nunez is a headless chicken (I don't understand the crowd love affair for him, unbelievable) and Salah is finished, he is a shadow of the player he used to be.
Darwin gave the team key points to be on top, but he is not responding really well these last few games, especially against city united and arsenal.

Szoboszlai has to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, because the many selfish players apparently kill his creativity and fade into the field. His shots are no longer successful, but his key passes were still sitting today, only of course the strikers missed his better passes. Nunez rather than pass it back to Dominik, who is in goal position, from 3 meters in front of him. Anyway, what did Macca do today to become man of the match? Szoboszlai needs to change. All Liverpool players are almost top player, thirsty to win, but that is their greatest weakness also.
At the opponent's penalty area they always just shooting, because all player is a winner & glory type and blind to play out well the chances. Thats why 20+ chances on a match and few scores only. ~10% effectiveness is terrible. Absolutely terrible. The players should be more professional and coolheaded and aware their teammates positioning not just moving forward and shooting. Sometimes should be make a pass back for better position for an another pass or shoot. So they should learn to attack more cordinated. The 1st place depend on their attacking chemistry. If this not improve soon, there is possible that will be too late.
The midfield is very good. That is the team greatest strength. Everyone was good sign. About Szoboszlai, it is a real waste of talent, because of the reason on top of my post. He is a attacker playmaker, and Liverpool has no playmaking at opponent's penalty area, just shooting away the balls try to score... Statistics say... He would be better with ball, because he has great technic and yet he just running and doing some kind of chaos creator role without ball, which is a big waste on many ways. Talent, technic, stamina etc... He has no role in this kind of team, would be better on an another team where need somebody to play out well attack chances.
I am not really satisfied with the defenders. They make a lots of mistakes, especially at the beggining of the matches. I understand They are in the hardest position. Their play is the least spectacular because of their role. But Would be much worse the situation if the Midfield would be not this good and keep the ball.

There’s teams that seem to just have our number, United has now seemed to become that team that just always has an answer to us this season
we are not a team, today for the first 30 min we were, cause they knew the importance of the game, for the first time, our mid 3 and the 3 strikers were passing nicely, but as Klopp said aside Dom's chance the wasteful OFF target attempts he doesn't consider chances. i never saw that in this season. To be top of the table by having so many ego's in the team and mini groups is a miracle anyway while rebuilding.
Lets get real about being real. This front 3 are not clinical enough and nunez and diaz are not bobby and mane are they. I said at the start of season a lack of goals overall will cost us, PLEASE lads prove me wrong! The margins to win this league are tracing paper thin. You cannot keep gifting goals nearly every game or keep going 1 nil down early its just not right. I think we will just fall short, but obviously i will support them to the end and hope we can pull it off.
They suck up front...Jota is a scorer...and gapko is not bad but lazy.... Salah is done....and Nunez is junk

Craig, I usually agrees with you on the ratings, but I don't know which game you've watched today, Szobo was one of the best on the pitch today. He had a couple of bad passes, but not in critical situations, he could have 3assists today if Mo and Darwin wouldn't be rubbish today... Also had his own chances, didn't had any luck there. But he was way better then Macca in the 1st half. I feel you're so over the moon with Macca you can't see when he's not that good. He wasn't bad, I'm not saying that, but Dom was way better! 6???!!! Watch back how many chances he created...

Quansal and Brady should be taken off in BIG games. They are the obstacles to winning the title race. Pep of Man City bench Julian Avalrez bench him in BIG for always giving the ball away. Klopp should do that if Liverpool wants to win the title race.

Really felt you nailed it with that assessment. The faith Klopp has in Salah is admirable but in recent weeks fundamentally flawed and it has cost us dearly, and sadly I think it is going to cost us the title too. My head really went down after that match and it is genuinely the first time I have lost belief. Szoboszlai is getting a lot of unfair criticism in my opinion and I have nothing bad to say about Jarell despite that huge mistake. I wish we had given Danns 5mins at the very least. Salah's legs are failing him. He's now a number 10, and he needs to understand that there is no dishonour in coming on from the bench. Liverpool FC is much bigger than both Klopp and his golden child.

Although I agree that Quansa is a youngster, I have been complaining lately that his preference to play backwards and sideways was beginning to annoy me and this time exactly that cost us the game, gifting a game changing goal.

We missed Jota massively. A proper predator in the box.
We could see Nunez was never going to score and Salah has not been the same since he came back from injury. Sloppy and sharpness not quiet there.
I am missing Trent now. Conor doesn’t know when to not shoot, he should be trying to cross more.

Salah needs to be sold if the Saudis come in with a decent offer. I actually think Nunez and Salah don't play well together. Nunez was much better when mo was out for a few games. We really need to find a clinical finisher from somewhere because Jota great finisher though he is can be a bit injury prone

I think elliot did well coming on .jones struggled to get into the game . Gakpo needs to put himself about .salah was awful should of been subbed . Nunez was causing them problems . Salah never beat his man all game .
