My husband and I LOVE Fayetteville, TX ! Enjoyed watching your video of this cute little town that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. We have stayed overnight there a couple of times in the house across from the Courthouse that was in your video.
@@theRTWguys No, we've rented the home that was across the street from where you parked your van. In the video, it looks like it has been painted a rose color now(at least that's the color it looks like in the video) but it has a GREAT front porch where we'd sit and drink coffee in the morning looking out over the courthouse square. I think it's a couple of houses to the left of that old gas station with the "Gulf" sign in front of it. The first time we visited, it was the weekend of their car show so there were antique cars all over the place that day. Very cool! My husband and I go for long drives and have found all kinds of cute little towns in Texas--we could be consultants for your show. LOL But Fayetteville is definitely one of our favorites!
I love how impressed he is with your idea of visiting the Watermelon tower 😂😂 You guys and doggo are the best can't wait to live back normally! Nothings even open here and travel is only. for essential (In London, UK) so it's so boring!
Haha, we're glad you enjoyed our Watermelon Tower adventure! 😄 Thank you for your kind words about our videos and our furry companion. We can definitely relate to the challenges posed by the restrictions and changes brought about by the global situation. Take care and happy travels when the time comes! 🌍✈️
Loved it, but when in Texas, pronounce pecan as pah kahn', not pee' kan. Also, although you tried, Seguin is pronounced Sah geen'. You should have taken a tour of the hotel, it is gorgeous. We do love our little town.
When this Covid craziness is over. Can I ask that you guys get in your van (bring your lovely German Shepherd) and come up to Toronto. Too many people think Toronto is a clean bland city (Marge Simpson quote). But Toronto has some surprises: . . . We have a bridge here that was designed by Joseph Strauss and was so ingenious that it led to his fame and selection as the Engineer to design the Golden Gate bridge in San Fran - can you believe that most Torontonians have no clue and the Bridge is brushed aside by the City? . We have one single road that denotes all the stages of North American Architecture from fancy European-styled-tall concrete hotels, through the Mies Vand Der Rohr towers to post Modern tall towers. We even have a Flat Iron Building that was built before New York's flat Iron Building. . We have an unfortunate mass burial site in a park that was the result of a TB outbreak in the early 1900's - to this day Canada requires all new immigrants to undergo TB x-rays as a consequence. . But most importantly we have a surge in craft beer brewing companies offering all amazing kinds of craft beers. We have an un-believeable vibrant restaurant market with options I never knew existed such as vegan-Mexican, Iraqi (best rice ever) and the list goes on (I so wish they survive Covid).
We will be exploring Canada (including Ontario) sooner than later! Thanks for the input on Toronto - we will keep these in mind to explore. Stay tuned!
😂😂 Still mispronouncing Seguin. It’s pronounced like Sah Geen, with the emphasis on the second syllable. People always think Texans have a southern accent and emphasize the first syllables, but we put the emphasis on the second syllables, or second word. I don’t know if that’s because of the Spanish, Czech or German influence, but it’s probably a combination of all three. Nice video though! My Czechoslovakian great grandmother and her family came to Fayetteville from the then Bohemia (Czech Republic) in 1886. Oh also it’s Kolache- Koe Laa Che (emphasis on the second syllable) not Kolash. 😂😂
That's amazing. Awesome that you still remember your ancestors origin in such a long time. PS: I know i am two years of late, but kolach is actually not that wrong. It's a singular word, kolache is plural.

Hey Guys. I enjoy your channel. Can I please make a suggestion: . . . . I am aware that the UA-cam algorithm is suppose to reward longer videos and long view times. BUT !!! short videos are more attractive in getting someone to 'dip their feet' into a channel. I see BaldandBankrupt has two channels now: 1 channel that is 10 plus minute long videos and 1 channel that is 4 minutes long. Can I suggest you guys do the same: a very short video (no more than 4 minutes) to build viewership and a longer 10 minute plus video to gain advertising revenue. . I really enjoy your videos and I would like you guys to be successful.
