It mey be some type of storage capacity for grain or manufecturing facility of some type of gun powder type thing or mey be fire chimnies of bricks klin. But i think these are not wells because no sence are made to built wells to close like this.
These are called "Well Foundation" which is usually built in soft/sandy area near the river and after filling these Wells with stone/crush, a building was built over it. Same well foundation was built under Taj Mahal near Jamna River.
What I heard from someone is that at Mahmood booti there was a small fortress being built to watch and supervise the water traffic as once river Ravi was an important water port for travelling and trade.it was a sort of patrolling post at the bank of river.these round structure are part of demolished wall of fortress.

So many wells cannot be so close. These are surely grain stores.
