Good review. I agree with your More V4 comments. I can’t run very fast in them because they feel like boats. Great slow run shoes and nice cushioning.
Got them both, and I love them both. I switch them every other week for my long runs. Although, I can do tempo days with the Nimbus, but only long easy runs with the More V4.
Just had first 10 miler in nimbus 25.very comfortable but a little hard on my forefoot it maybe the thin socks. Overall I'm impressed so far ❤️✌️🏴
Hello Emily. Well said. In my case I enjoyed my V3 more than my V4. The reason is the tongue. V3 fitted better. V4 has a better midsole though and if it had a decent gusseted tongue the shoe would be way better. On the other hand N25s deserve all the hype and NB has a serious challenger. I believe N25s sits between V4 and triumph 20 as a feel and ride. Currently, I would say that V4 are appealing to a more rotation mindset runner, the N25 seems to target to a wider audience who walks and go easy, and triumph 20 are focused on a more “experienced” runner who looks in details in his planning.
The truth is that N25s is good news for us as will push NB and saucony to push further their designs.
Great video, thanks. Was considering both, and think after watching this I'll go with the Nimbus. Pity the running warehouse links don't work for UK/European customers. In the same category I'm also thinking of the Asics Super last, but the price, as well as the fact I like to use max cushion/daily trainer shoes as an everyday shoe when in holiday/going to the office makes the nimbus there obvious choice as it comes in a more conservative colourway too. Thanks for the insight, super useful!
I absolutely adore my More V4s. Something about them just feels fantastic for those easy miles and they feel surprisingly springy for Fresh Foam X (though I wouldn't call them a bouncy shoe like my Invincible 2s or Speed 3s). Been wondering how they compare to the Triumph 20s and Nimbus 25s so this at least answers half my questions. Thanks for the video!
I have owned or tried all that you mentioned. I like the More v4 as much as my Saucony Triumph 20s. For me, I agree the More v4 is a better ride for my flat wide feet that overpronate a bit bc it has that curve that pushes you forward a bit. The Nimbus 25 felt like my Asics Tri Noosas which I had to let "re-form" or let the foam get bigger again after 3 days...after they got older.
Have both.. love both. Definitely a tough decision picking. Asics would be my pick just because I like the company as a whole.

Thanks! I just run a comback run 21km which is my official race for this year (recovered from an appendectomy but still cautious) nad used the More V4. The a it of responsive from this shoes though it feels like running on pillow on slower paces. I just "rocked and rolled" my way to the FL and it helped me keep my legs fresh so I can pick up the pace in the final 3km. I did't really to run on fast pace and I just did a very chill run since the 21km category has a 4 hour cut off time. It took me exactly 3 hours to finish the race (8:33/km)
Also, I saw one for the comments that I can totally relate with. The shoes have a high midsole wall that caused blisters in the inner side of my heel. And yes again that the upper is not that breathable. Hopefully the version 5 can improve it!
I got both shoes and I prefer the Nimbus 25. The rocker geometry in the V4 is definitely better than the Nimbus25 but because the upper of the V4 is a bit voluminous for my thin (but a bit wide) feet, the Nimbus25 feels less clunky for a max cushion shoes. The outsole of the V4 maybe a bit better but the I prefer the upper material of the Nimbus25 (I had the wide US8 size for the Nimbus and a regular US8 for the V4).
I have narrow feet like you too and found the More rather wobbly. Love the N25!

I have noticed the More v4 gets positive comments from everyone. My only problem with the More line is that the 11 2E is a bit too wide and long and the 10.5 D is a bit too snug and short. I usually go big and snug the laces
I have both shoes and am a heavy runner. For me there is a clear winner: the Nimbus 25. The More V4 is nice, but my legs are still a little sore the next days. No so with the Nimbus.
I did my first run in the more v4 and love them.

Thanks so much for this comparison!! I've been running in the NB More V4 and am waiting for the Asics Gel Nimbus 25. Although I like More V4 very much, but I want some more soft underfoot feelings. I hope that I'll enjoy logging miles in the Asics Gel Nimbus 25 as well with no injuries at all. 😊🙏

Come 2024, I bought both of these shoes. The V4 at USD65 and the 25 at slightly higher USD85 totalling at USD150 (got two shoes at the price of one). As a casual runner and hobbyist waiting until the EOL when newer version has come out really worth it.

Hi Matt! Same for me re: the More v4. They felt like barges on my feet and surprisingly the Nimbus-even though it’s probably heavier-felt closer to normal shoe despite the max midsole. Contrary to Emily I found the Nimbus to be less dull. I bought it just for slow long runs and recovery. And, will probably be walking in them sometimes too. Martha
big toe area is narrow, so i got the nimbus in extra wide, they feel great at easy speeds, knee pain in my right knee is gone
We really love our asics gel nimbus 25s.
I absolutely love my more v4s they do get sweaty though I live on the Gulf coast Mobile, Alabama and man does it get nasty in the summer here. Now I can't Speak for the Nimbus, but I did try it on and it felt to firm for me So I didn't buy they one but I did buy the New Balance super comp trainer 1 and love it more than the more v4s and I just ordered the Super Comp Trainer in v2 so...... cant wait for it!
I have clocked up a few k's in the 25's now... Nice shoe a few complaints; toe box is to narrow for my feet so blisters on the big toes. I'd like more sideways support for pronation on the long work.
Upper is great but I can't see it lasting long with the fragile feel.
Here in Australia it is not breathable enough and I feel like cutting holes in the toe area for relief of heat.

The lace loops on the Asics are just like string loops. Do u see those snapping when you tie the shoes tight?

I really like the comfort of new balance, but sadly they go flat at around 300 miles and lose that comfort . Where as my ASICS are still completely fine at 500+ miles . I ran two pairs of 1080v11's to 650 miles and they both started bottoming out at around 350ish miles . ( I'm 5'10 and 79kg) . Keep rolling everyone 🏃♂️🏃♂️
So I have the more v3 all black and same here they just don’t feel as comfortable as when I first got them I wish the more v4 came in all black so I could wear them at work thanks 🙏

I like booth of them tried them in a shop today, i ordered Moore v4, Nimbus 26 was little softer and better looking, but more expensive and oddly caused issues with my nerve problem on frontfot that's probably specifik just for me tho its a very good shoe.
I have the new balance fuelcell supercomp. I only put 100m plus they already done not bouncy and feeling flat
I caught the More V.4 on sale at Running Wearhouse recently and couldn't pass them up. I really like them so far but I did have to swap out the sockliner for something a little thicker because of the midsole wall riding so high up in the arch.
May I ask what you swapped out the sockliner with? i have the same issue… the shoe is comfy except for the midsole wall giving me blisters😢 thanks
@@ingridl1006 I had an extra pair of ortholite liners from an old pair of Pegasus laying around and those did the trick. Just thick enough to get my arch higher in the shoe above the midsole wall

Hello! Here in Portugal the prices are different, more v4 160€ and nimbus 25 200€. I just bought the more v4 on sale for 80€!
I just got my Nimbus 25. The More V4 and the More Trail V3 both are way "softer". The Nimbus 25 is very nice, but if I go for cushioning, I would rather take a Hoka or New Balance.
I have both and i weigh 225lbs, so in my opinion the gel nimbus 25 is better for people 180lbs and over, and I could see where the more v4 is better for people under the 180lb mark! The v4 isn’t supportive enough for me, and too soft!! The gel nimbus 25 is the most comfortable, stability shoe I own! And i prefer to run in the SC trainer, elite v3, and alpha fly 4% 2

I regret buying the more v4's. The Nimbus 25 is far superior in my opinion and experience.
Can’ speak to either shoes since I don’t have either. But I did run in More V3 and Nimbus 24. Like you, I did not enjoy Nimbus 24 for the same reason you stated, hot spots. Plus compared to previous versions of Nimbus, 24 was too soft (for me). NB More V3 is really not firm when compared to other daily trainers. Many of the UA-cam reviewers (as well as you) described More V4 as firm when compared to Nimbus 25. But it is a max cushion. It provides comfort and protection. But it is not mushy and it does not sink as much as other very soft shoes. When running tired, I do not like the mushy shoes as they seem to require more work on my part and thus I get more tired. Hence, I prefer the midsole of More V3. So based on your review and others, i would probably go with NBV More V4. Also, I will add that Nimbus 24 was not only soft but it seemed harder on my achilles. Maybe the new stack height may have changed that. Now that you have run more than 50 miles in NB More v4 and Saucony Triumph 20, how about doing similar (toe to toe) review for those two shoes? I am in the market for a new pair of cushioned shoes but can’t decide between Saucony Triumph 20 and NB More V4. Thanks.
Durability is probably significantly better with New Balance' More V4.
But in fact, Asics Gel Nimbus 25 fits more ergonomically.
What's the point of comfort if the sneakers knock, so to speak, like hooves?
did my first run (4.5 miles) on the NB More XV4 yesterday and was not smitten as I was with the initial run of the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3. NB seems to run big (I'm size 11) the heel cup didn't work for me being to large and by the time you get down to the outsole the shoe is comically sloppy big. I liked the upper and the tongue. My first run was in mid-twenties F. temps so I'm not certain about the foam - faster I ran the better the midsole felt but warming-up the More V4 felt cumbersome. Really looking forward to a second run tomorrow and if I come away with the same initial impression then I'll order another shoe to go along with my Saucony Speed 3.
After ~30 miles with the More V4 I'm starting to admire it.

I have the Vongo V5 in a Wide and I've been looking at the V4 lately. Would you say the Standard on the V4 is somewhat comparable with the Wide VV5? Also, between the 2, which is better for an everyday shoe being on your feet most of the day?
I’d say somewhat. I’m not exactly sure what the Vongo v5 wide feels like but overall for being on your feet all day I would go with the more v4
Thanks for review. I’ll be going for nimbus 25 as they’re down to £97 in Uk now. The NB are way pricier and u don’t seem to get the discounts u can get on ASICS previous model.
Running warehouse said the nb ff more v4 fits true to size when I spoke to an employee there. However on the page where the shoe os listed it says that it fits long. In your opinion which is it? I have a narrow foot also and I thought that if I size down the width will be better. Thoughts?
I think it’s true to size. The toe box feels like it has the proper length. But the mid foot is where it gets wide. I’d stick to your normal size and just make the width work with the laces
Not had these shoes , but ran in 1080 v12 and the fresh foam x just didn’t last as long as I thought it should ( died at 150-200 miles). I weigh just over 200 lbs so just maybe me. I got a ASICS nova blast v 3 trail and the ff blast midsole is going strong way beyond the new balance … love new balance but until the midsole longevity improves I am avoiding them ….
I am 220# and HATED the Novablast 1. NEVER in my LIFE had I had a running shoe try to throw my ankle OUT OF the shoe on a corner. Sold those unstable suckers QUICK. I like the More v3, but I'm thinking they're dying 150 miles in, and the 4mm drop may also contribute to my knees starting to hurt. My Clifton 8 w/ 5 mm drop doesn't hurt my knees.

I hope to review the invincible at some point! But trust me this was a hard decision! I love both these shoes a lot
Nice content as always. I'm going replace my Shift V3 in about 100 miles. I can't decide which max cushion shoe to replace it with. I wish both shoes were more breathable. Running with them in the summer sounds rough.
Don’t get the more v4 it’s a tire on your foot and the foam is completely dead. It’s so stiff. It feels like it’s frozen that’s how much it moves. It’s literally the opposite of responsive or “cushion” the fresh foam in that shoe is just there. Imo all fresh except the 880v12 is really mid and a waste of money. It’s a shame because the 1080 v12 is such a great shoe but it should have fuel cell instead of fresh foam… unfortunately it looks like the v13 1080 is going to be bad.
I found the More4 to be dull as well. To me the Nimbus 25 was a little more lively, so it’s an individual thing. I bought the Nimbus for slow long runs and recovery specifically. The More 4 also felt like barges on my avg width feet so even though they’re lighter than the Nimbus they felt clumsy and awkward.

Instead of the more v4, in India I bought the More V3 Trail shoe (vibram), it is equally pillowy(like my nimbus 25) and those 5mm traction lugs aren't felt that much on pavement.
I bought these in white on white on white for cushy aesthetics and to rock them in around my University and not for running purposes...
I really enjoy my More V4 but don’t really like the Nimbus 25. Not enough of a soft feel under foot for me. Will be taking the Nimbus 25 back.

Did you ever get an opportunity to try the V4 in a women’s size, at least to judge the fit? No surprise that a shoe with extra width in an already generous upper would not fit as well as something in a normal B width (Nimbus).

Great job on video 👍 Quick question, I know it's subjective but, the difference between More v4 and Nike Invincible, your opinion, is the More v4 "just as cushion" as Invincible but with more bounce and propelling with stability??
I think the invincible is more bouncy and responsive, but less stable. The more v4 isn’t quite as energetic feeling as the invincible but provides a wider platform and denser foam underfoot. Hope that helps!

Need a slow run shoe and these are on my list but what about the SC Trainer??
Sc trainer is a good option it will just depend on whether you want a plate under your foot for slower runs. I loved the sc trainer for all different kinds of runs!
The More 3, and reports are the v4 have issues w/ the sole rubber wearing down fast. Nimbus long ago would last 1000 miles. I've heard their rubber wears easy now. :^(
I have both, and I use them often (everyday, I could say) Asics is more confortable. ( I am not a runner, but walk about 22km a day)

They are tastes and choices but if you pay attention to your footsteps in the video your footstep and the movement of your legs is much better and more complete with the nimbus than with the more v4 but it is only my opinion greetings and thanks for him versus

tried the new Nike invincible run 3. and it got a firmer midsole and the upper was tighter with the new mesh. I work standing up as a personal trainer and for me the most important thing is comfort rather than the shoe being responsive. Tks!

I love my Asics Gel-Nimbus 24 ( almost 500km~310 miles ) and I can't wait to start running with the Gel-Nimbus 25 .
Miss , you should try the Mizuno Wave Sky 6 , another japonese brand and to a battle between it and Asics !
So far I'm loving my Sky 6 and it reminds the low stack Nimbus 24. The 25th version ia a totaly different "beast" and that category should be called some thing like : " Ultra High cushioning shoes " .
I like my WaveSky 4 better than Nimbus 24. W.S. 4 is better than W.S. 3, and hear the W.S. 5 is better than the 4. I have Nimbus 24 lightly used sz 12 for sale.
@filoIII i got the Mizuno Wave Sky 6, and it is awesome. I'm a running shoe fanatic, and for me, the Sky 6 is one of the most versatile and comfortable high cushioning shoes I ever ran with. And I also got at this time other high cushioning shoes as well : Gel-Nimbus 25 ,Gel-Kayano 29 , Ultraboost Light and Kayano Lite 3. If I could pick only one , world be the Mizuno Wave Sky 6. It has some kind of nice running flow bounce and comfortable that helps me to also run as fast as if I was using my Adios 7 for exemple.
The Smooth Stretch Woven upper from the Sky 6 is probably the best upper of any shoe for an amazing lockdown, and it also makes the shoe more nimble and enjoyable.
If you like Mizuno go ahead and very the latest Wave Sky. I'm already excited to get the Wave Sky 7 ....

@filoIII I have not tried the Mizuno WS5 but it uses the same middlesole and outsole design of the newer WS6 . The only negative thing I have heard about the WR5 was the insole that was too hard and tick, so it ended making the feeling of the shoe to be a lot firm instead of soft and bouncy. If you can find version 5 for a good price, go for it. Just change the insole if you feel the need. But I got to say that the upper "SSW" of the WS 6 and also found in special versions of other shoes from Mizuno, lile the Wave Rider 26 is the best upper in a high cushioning shoe I have ever tried. The upper is snug where it needs to be and quite breathable since it is like a rubberized upper that can easily stretch for more ventilation. For curiosity, my Wave Rider 26 in black (Amsterdam marathon) with the SSW upper is 10 times more comfortable AND breathable than my Ultraboost Light in white color !
About the Gel-Nimbus 25, it is one of the greatest shoes ever made, and it it amazing since the time you put them on for the first time. The upper is super comfortable and can dry up really fast, but it is less ventilated and a bit less comfortable than the SSW from the Wave Sky 6. The middlesole is amazing, especially in the forefoot area with the 33mm of foam. But it is a very tall shoe and ,for me, that overpronate a bit. It is less stable than the Gel-Nimbus 24 or the Sky 6 that are more nimble and versatile shoes closer to the ground. Running very fast is possible with the 25th ,but I end overpronating my left heel a bit too much ... using the last lace hole loop helped to give me more stability.... can't wait for the Gel-Kayano 30 onnthis regard. It should be awesome !
If you are a very overweight runner, then the Gel-Nimbus 25 should give you more cushioning but will make you overpronate more, while the Sky6 will naive a bit less cushioning in the forefoot, but more cushioning and bounce from the heel area with the Enerzy Core.
If you can , get both. But versatility and more fun to run fast or slow go with the Mizuno Wave Sky 6 and the Gel-Nimbus 25 is to relax and run very slowly for hours nonstop. very good job in that matter. A very fun shoe for very long runs.

Hello, I loved your video. If anyone can suggest a shoe under $100 or close it $100 for half marathon, it would be helpful. Started running last year's September. I already ran a 7.5k and 2 half marathons, I used Reebok lite 2 and Puma Transport Modern running shoes. Sadly, I hurt myself in the half marathons. So, I want to upgrade my shoes but do not want to spend much as of now as I am still new.
It honestly depends on your region. The Nike Peg 39 is easily found for that price on sale and most places have been discounting the Saucony Ride 15/Guide 15.
In my region I'm able to find an Endorphin Speed 3 for under $100USD.

@@jefreywith1f924 Nope the Speed 3s. Picked up a US10 for $83 USD here in Australia from a retailer on sale. Plenty of sizes as well. Hard to actually find speed 2s at a good price due to almost no stock.
We don't get the crazy good sales the US gets for Adidas and Nike though.
I have not heard either of those shoes you mentioned, even in the budget shoe realms. From PUMA Velocity Nitro 2. You can also find coupon codes for PUMA. From Rebook, Floatride Energy 4 is their best option. Same with Reebok. They often have coupons to reduce the cost. Sign up for their emails. Other than that you should be looking at buying last year's better shoes at discounts. You can look for ASICS Novablast 2, Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 or 3 etc. at 30-50% discounts from original prices.
For me as a size 14, the weight of the NB More makes it a non-starter for my long runs.
Have you tried the SC Trainer?
@@ryanmiskin8925 no I haven’t but I do need a max long run shoe (55k race in June). Using Novablast 3 now (which I love but not sure how it will be at 20+ miles). Want Superblast but no 14. My only worried about SC Trainee is despite its great midsole is if the heaviness catches up with you sooner or later. Invincible I did like, but they hurt my knees due to how unstable they are.
@@karmaforgotme man, I'm a 14 also...didn't realize the SuperBlast didn't come in a 14. I currently run in the Rebel V2 and V3, and just absolutely love the FuelCell foam.

I really like NB's FreshFoam (the couple of NB's I have with FreshFoam (not the More v4s) are very squishy tho) - so, being that I wanted to try a max-cushion shoe, I had ordered the Nimbus 25's because I haven't had a pair with FF Blast+ in it and was hoping for more energy return - watching this, it seems I should've just gone with the NB's again tho... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Both are great shoes, but the more v4 does seem to have more life

Thanks for the comparison. I’ve been running in the Nimbus 25 and am always looking for another thicc trainer as I get ready for Chicago Marathon training. Although having the Nimbus and the Novablast 3 currently makes me wonder if adding the More v4 would be a bit superfluous. Might wait until I get some more miles on what I have and maybe get the More v4 if the price drops. 🤷♂️
I have both. To my foot, the v4 loses is magic quickly. After 150 miles that beautiful bounce seems to slowly disappear. I've run 300 in the nimbus 25 and they feel as good or better than the first day I put them on. They hardly show any wear either and I'm a hefty boy.

I’m not loving my V4. I absolutely loved the V3 and was so excited for this edition. But its firmer than id like and the tongue is horrible

I also prefer the v3, but my description of v4 is likely a bit different. Will probably wait to evaluate the v5 (hopefully in 4E). I feel like the v4 combo of more prominent sidewalls, and some users sinking too deeply into the newer central hollow under the heel, isn't ideal for everybody. Agree that the v3 tongue was better protective up top, but many reviewers whined endlessly about it being excessive. I may need to evaluate some 'wide platform' alternatives, along the lines of the new Kayano 30. I do prefer stability with all that width.

Asics are better for people of weight. I am one of those people at just over 200, I find the Asics much more preferable.
My advice is to strengthen your feet and scale down to Xero HFS or Vivo Primus. Your feet will thank you later!!😊

Fresh Foam X is outdated ...NB needs a new technology ...dont give cushioning enough that you expect for a cushioning shoe ....Asics "FF Blast +" is much better.

I just don’t understand how the nova blast 3 midsole isn’t responsive or bouncy .. I believe you said “dead” yet you say the more v4s midsole is responsive and soft,cushioned lmfao. You clearly are biased towards new balance. Come on the morev4 is a dead tire on your foot. The foams hard as a rock and doesn’t budge at all when running in it. The only variation of fresh foam that’s even remotely responsive is the 880 v12 probably because the dual density has something to do with it. The nb3 is dead but the morev4 isn’t. Thats misinformation
Not misinformation. It’s my experience and my opinion. There are plenty of new balance shoes I don’t like. No bias towards them.
They tweaked the FFX in the More V4 and it honestly does feel like it gives some energy return (definitely more than the More V3 when I compare my pairs). The FFB+ is using a recycled eco version in the Nimbus 25 and maybe why it doesn't feel as responsive as the NB3. I also remember Heller not being the biggest fan of the NB3.

Hello Emily. Well said. In my case I enjoyed my V3 more than my V4. The reason is the tongue. V3 fitted better. V4 has a better midsole though and if it had a decent gusseted tongue the shoe would be way better. On the other hand N25s deserve all the hype and NB has a serious challenger. I believe N25s sits between V4 and triumph 20 as a feel and ride. Currently, I would say that V4 are appealing to a more rotation mindset runner, the N25 seems to target to a wider audience who walks and go easy, and triumph 20 are focused on a more “experienced” runner who looks in details in his planning.
The truth is that N25s is good news for us as will push NB and saucony to push further their designs.
