gerard lookin 10 years younger than he looked 2 years ago
I think it’s because he got back in shape for performing. Looks good!
And looks 20 years older when MCR first appear this year. I think he did some Diet and Gym for make his performance back good af
That's what working out and caring about your appereance looks like.
energy vampire ❤
Only some pounds less and we will have the sassy diva's body again.
i've waited 11 years to hear them play I Don't Love You live, and kept checking their setlists to see if they were playing it. That song got me through some of the darkest times in life. Only twice on the whole tour did they perform it, and I got to see it at the last show. I bawled my fucking eyes out. I'll never forget how those opening chords felt, it sent chills head to toe. Words can't describe it. A part of myself was healed during that performance. So beyond grateful
incredible
overreact much
OMG SAAAAMEEEEE the song still hit's hard from the first time I've heard it
stop
That intro DOES hit different
gerard’s vocals are 100% at a peak. they have so much control now
Then why does he have to use effect pedals??
@@chewie9217 to make his voice sound like a robot and echo and sound weird as fuck lol. hes not using them most of the time tbf its not like hes autotuning himself hes just overlaying cool sounding shit
@@chewie9217 agree 100%. All singers decline but he's in his 40s and sounds like a 70 year old trying to hit those notes. Dudes voice is toast
@@baceff6478 eh, agree to disagree! in terms of live performance hes finally taken lessons and has achieved a tone hes never had live. in the 2000s his voice was so fucking shredded that by the time the black parade tour was wrapping up it sounded like he swallowed a bunch of razors his voice was BLOWN
Even at this day and age, Gerard still has his voice
male singers tend to keep their voices far better than female, like robert smith for example, still sounds like he did in his 20s in his 60s.
@@Cherrybulbasaur I think Robert Smith still sounds good, because of genetics and the fact that he has lived a healthy lifestyle without heavy drugs. Also he was one of the few tenors in the 80s in a genre dominated by baritones. I honestly think its easier for a girl to maintain her voice, because female voices in general are much more flexible and light than male voices other than the high tenors who can sing like a mezzo. Girls are much better at mixing their voices and not forcing notes through their throats. I think the girls that can't maintain their voices are ones who sing extremely light and delicate vocal runs like Elizabeth Fraser who might have a vocal run that goes into the 6th octave in head voice and after getting older hitting those obscenely high notes is far less fluid than in the younger days.
@@soysaucehairdye7869 Who are some other baritones from the 80’s? I always thought the majority were tenors
the 10 year break should have helped, he sound better than ever
@@soysaucehairdye7869 a genre dominated by baritones? The 80s was tenor central by far the decade of Male high notes, total tenor time. No clue what you're on about there bud. lol
It's just so thrilling to see Gerard so comfortable. You can tell they were a little rusty and hesitant early on in the reunion, kinda stiff... but now they're jumping around stage, thrashing, having a blast. So so so happy for them
the smile on Rays face says it all... theyre fucking back and it means just as much to them as it does to us, love them so fucking much
seeing them smile probably made me happier than hearing my favorite songs live.
Anyone notice how Ray is more energetic? I love how hes more comfortable with jumping around its so adorable
He’s been smiling from Foundations through the encore this whole tour and it makes me so happy 🥹
hearing gerard sing "things are better if i stay" will never not make me sad
🥹
14:15 everyone singing the "everybody in this whole place, whole place" is so fcking amazing like that live performance all those years ago was THAT important, and also one of my favourite mama live performances ever, wow
DURING HELENA YOU CAN HEAR THE COWD DOING THE BACKUP VOCALS I LOVE IT. TOTALLY NOT BAWLING MY EYES OUT AT TH KITCHEN TABLE
OMG IN NA NA NA TOO I AM SCREAMING
Man, is Gerard actually a vampire? I swear he's aging backwards doing these shows, he looks almost like he did when he first did Helena! Hair to match too!
Glad seeing him in good shape, And his vocals were much better compared to their first 2019 comeback
am i crazy or does his voice have much better tone than it did a decade ago????? maybe its him getting older but there's more depth in his tone, i swear. he;s never sounded better live
I still think the Mexico city show in 2007 is his best live vocal performance but he does sound really really great here
You can clearly see how glad Gerard is to be back. He feels the crowd so much
this is the best version of Helena live, my ears are c r e a m i n g
I swear these LA concerts are easily the best Gerard has ever sounded live.
How does he look younger than he did in like 2007? Crazy
Yup..back in 2020 he look old..but now he look younger back ..
It's the hair, also he looks leaner
Dont forget the makeup that made him look older
I am also 45! grew up with MCR he looks great and much younger he also lost a ton of weight but you are only as old as you feel! GreT to see him back in his element!
He's got the Billy Joe Armstrong syndrome :P
Gerard looks so happy and healthy! Im so proud of him! He sounds freaking awesome as well
Mad respect for Gerard for taking care of his voice even among the excitement. Its beautiful music hearing that crowd sing FOR YOU GUYS! 🌸🌸🌸🌸
Yes! And the way he is maintaning a healthy lifestyle.
I can't imagine the amount of energy it takes to play all these songs back to back, let alone an entire concert.
They're literally the only band I will love unconditionally until the day I die, words can't describe how happy I was to finally be able to see them perform live. I get emotional just thinking about the show I went to because it feels like a once in a lifetime experience
This Helena is sooooo lit!
thanks so much for uploading these , I am in South Africa and do not think I will ever be able to see them live so this for me is closest I will get
You're a GEEK!
same lol :)
Same
I am from Palestine!
same
from iraq
Same from bulgaria
9:00 - 9:20 is my favorite...you could see a young Gerard right there. The beauty, the passion. I'm in love all over again XD Very nice close up!
gerard's looking hot, also i think this was a very cathartic experience for him lol he was feeling it
14:14 you can hear some of the crowd chanting "everybody in the whole place, whole place" which makes me really happy for some reason idk
omg i heard it too so cute
Gerard never ceases to amaze me with that leg thing he always did.
Did they ever imagine 21 years later they'd be selling out concerts! MCR timeless the message lives forever. ❤❤❤
this man de-aged 20 yrs over the span of this tour
Becoming obsessed with MCR. I love it.
This concert was the first time I ever saw them live. I got there in the morning and waited all day so I could be right up in front of the stage. I've listened to them almost every day since I was 8 years old. I'm 24 now and never thought I would see them in person. I've never cried during a concert before, but as soon as I Don't Love You came on I couldn't hold the tears back. Best concert I've ever been to without a doubt.
big credit for the drummer, he really enjoy it feel it full
Some moments
2:02 Gerard and Mikey looking at each other💞
3:22 Big smile on Ray
3:50 Ray tripped followed by little steps
4:00 Mikey's heart 🫶
4:27 Gerard looking at the camera
7:17 Ray sharing Gerard's mic
8:45 Gerard and Ray's synchronized hopping
9:15 Kneel and pray
10:54 ∧∧ Standing in ∧∧ ✌✌V formation✌✌
7:17 love the head banging and growls
Being there felt like a dream
Did he find the fountain of youth in the past 2 years cause this is a wild transformation from what he was looking like a few years back. He looks just like 2005 again lol
40s aren’t that old, it’s just that he had some extra weight and lost it
Yes surprising
gerard always had a very cherubic, youthful face so it was really the weight that made him look older. he looks great now
The whole band after the break up healed, had families, grew, they were in a better place and now with the reunion, everything feels healthier, yknow?
ray so cute and smiley!!
Take me back to this day 🥹🖤
Same. I miss these MCR shows so much. I was so happy.
I actually went to see them for my 17th birthday and it was one of the most unforgettable birthdays I’ve ever had
I saw them October 8th and honestly if they played "i dont love you" that night I would have broke down and cried... ive always loved this song but for the longest time (around 2-3 years) I couldnt listen to it because it just hurt so much after my ex and I broke up and it would remind me of the last words he said to me before leaving me for someone else... im in a better place now and i can listen to it again; I just have a deeper appreciation for the lyrics in it now since they mean so much to me personally.
"I Don't Love You" means different to me now that I just recently broke up. But more in a positive way. Hope you're doing fine and will get someone better that you deserve. Just remember, better days ahead!
I agree with everyone being happy for them being so comfortable and happier than ever, it really does make you appreciate them more and enjoy the show better, like, I'm not having a good time at their expense, they're too in a good state of mind
That’s such a great perspective ❤
Way's brothers and the others - you still rock
genuinely adore this band
Oct 17 ,2022 best 24th birthday I had in a long time glad I went to see them the vibes was just awesome.
Happy belated birthday
happy belated birthday !!!
Happy Belated Birthday! 🎂🎉
I really appreciate all your MCR recordings!
I actually think this is THE best Helena performance I've seen. Amazing that he can still bring that kind of passion even after performing it SO many times.
I'm so happy to see Gerard taking care of himself again. and how to see it in the heydays of the mcr. Gerard you are my inspiration, I'll get there soon!
I absolutely love this band play them everyday. Meaning they got me thru alot of shit that was awful, hurtful, and painful that I had to battle solo. Lol I play them religiously as in every day so they're music is so timeless
I was there !!!! It was such a great show
Honestly I was expecting them to sound terrible after 10 years of not playing.
But they sound as good as they did before.
Glad to see my man in good shape! More love from the Philippines!
This song never gets old.
Iconic
god i get so emotinal in every mcr live performance video ijust love them sm
one of the best nights of my fucking life.
4 Bangers back to back 🫡💯🔥
I get so excited when I see them live, seeing the boys grow through the years is beautiful
i just love Ray's hair he could pass as a shampoo hair model 🤣
This takes me back. The eye liner Era.
Helena sounded so frickin good
Only people with impeccable taste in music in that audience.
Esa primera canción siempre me hace pedazos el alma.. gracias my chemical romance por tan increíbles canciones ♥️
I'm fucking sobbing right now. I waited most of my life to see them lives, finally got to go to their 10/7 concert in Vegas and they never played this song. It's my FAVORITE song... I'm devastated
Wow he's not all covered up and he looks BEAUTIFUL! I love Gerard :)
Ray singing Liza's part was epic
One of my favourite songs of MCR. I wish I could have heard them playing this live in Paris! Amazing show tho, was the first time I had the chance to see them and I will never forget it
He got back in shape 😍
This looks like it was on 2010 love it

They really are back!!! Letsgooooo
oh my gosh, at 04:28 he looks at your camera 💙💖
Gerard is still making me feel things all these years later.
@@anusername8350 Hahahaha 😂😂😂
Damn, is it me or Gerard has lost a lot of weight lately? I hope that's a sign that he is healthy (physically and mentally) and doing well in life.
He's definitely lost a ton and I hope too that he just got fit for touring and it's not an illness. I think though, he looks healthy and sounds amazing so those are good signs
he seems healthy and happy to me
It is great to see them back togehter :-D
